I once again @VodafoneUK will ask me to remove my phone socket to check why my internet is down I will shoot myself. It’s nothing to do with a dammed socket when there is no signal the last two days and no one seems to answer the question why I should pay for something🚨

@max_tappenden @zeninternet @VodafoneUK Yeah, we basically don't have that issue now. Verizon tried putting Netflix over a barrel, as did Comcast, but there's enough competition now that routing is reasonable and uptime issues are limited to last-mile infra issues 99.9% of the time.

@PaulCowland_ @VodafoneUK I had this with bt when I finally managed to swap from mothly online payments to DD. The first I knew of the DD not been taken was them cutting me off. They they charged me £170 for breach of contract and then I signed up as a new customer and got on a rate that was 1/3rd lower.

@iansltx In the UK there’s a lot of difference between buying gigabit FTTH via a quality ISP like @zeninternet vs a vile one like @VodafoneUK in terms of speed, latency and uptime, not to mention customer service. Losing that choice would be devastating.
