Paul Foster (@Paulfo) reported from Harleston, England@bt_uk I'd have a much brighter opinion of @BTGroup if it was just on. It is after all a network service that in this day and age should be on. I've turned it on for my elderly mother who has been plagued by these calls. I hear of others falling for the calls and losing £1000s.

This cannot be right as she is vulnerable and the phone provides a lifeline to the outside world 😡

Mark (@InactiveDigital) reported@bt_uk can you help please. My 89yo grandfather relies on his landline. Calls keep getting disconnected with the message 'please hold the line'. After 20 seconds it then reconnects but keeps happening again. Any thoughts if this could be a handset fault or line fault?
