@bankwithsmile It's only been 7 working days, so it's got until tomorrow. There was no point in you sending a replacement now - I've got my @HSBC_UK card and PIN, so I've transferred some money over to that account so I can actually get some cash, ahead of leaving you for good on Monday.

@bankwithsmile @HSBC_UK @bankwithsmile Also worth noting it took over a week for your team to even agree to send a replacement card after I first let them know it hadn't arrived. They sent me two follow up messages asking, each of which took another 2-3 working days for a response from your end.

New low for @HSBC_UK customer service. After again being told to speak with their online chat service to order a new bank card, they confirmed it would be sent out. I chase this up today and they have told me that no card has been ordered and I should called up. #Awful

@HSBC_UK hi your chat bot doesn't help with registering online and says I need to login. The issue is with registering so a bit difficult to get to a person. When registering saying can't as you need contact details. Does this mean a mobile number is needed for online banking?

Retail banking customer service is so poor, so bureaucratic, so patronising, their systems are so painful to deal with, that a world in which crypto becomes the principal means of exchange is starting to look more appealing to me at least. @HSBC_UK is particularly awful.

@HSBC_UK @HSBC_UK those are *my* problems though. Your app isn’t incompatible because of an unexpected bug. It’s incompatible because the HSBC app is checking the OS version and actively refusing to run on the beta. You’re the only bank to do that and thus disadvantaging some customers

@HSBC_UK See, this isn't even a suitable reply. I'm not a business customer. I'm on hold now to speak to an agent, after 12+ without access to my own money. I could have been stranded somewhere overnight as a result of this stupidity. You need 24 hour phone lines for urgent matters.
