The speeds I’m getting from Sky Fibre Max are appalling too, sometimes I can’t even use it, it’s so awful, like scraping the barrel speeds and connectivity which just isn’t worth it. @O2 to the rescue here though because their 4G tether speeds are usually faster than Sky Fibre.

  • headcoverlova
Paul Frampton (@headcoverlova) reported from Bearpark, England

@O2 really bad customer service to offer a free streaming service a lot of families could use right now only for new customers. Other networks offering free services for all customers. Make me think you don’t value loyal customers at all

  • Danford2013
John McCarthy (@Danford2013) reported from Whickham, England

@O2 I was spammed. Then defrauded. Went to O2 shop and reported issue. Told Fraud Dept would contact within 2 days. Three further calls to O2 (2O2) and one month later still no Fraud contact and no resolution. Today notice to take another payment. @O2 any chance of sorting?

@O2 I’m in Newcastle for the weekend and could hardly get a service, keeping jumping from 1 bar on 5G onto 3G, couldn’t get into social media or online due to it buffering. What a waste of time moving to you from EE

  • ilovefluffy

@2bard @intueldonsquare @northumbriapol You're right in normal circumstances, however my phone signal keeps cutting out while @O2 are upgrading to 5G, last week a man had a seizure in front of me and I was getting repeatedly disconnected from the emergency services while trying to get an ambulance.

  • KyleMarleau
Kyle Marleau (@KyleMarleau) reported from Walker Gate, England

I’m curious how my number for sold ... I think @O2 sold it. Was only 3 for 4 years. Zero issue. Was on o2 for 4 months and this happened. Bullshit.

  • Dan05858044
Dan (@Dan05858044) reported from Chester-le-Street, England

  • engg_rky
Raj (@engg_rky) reported from Newcastle upon Tyne, England

  • timlibrarian
Tim Fowler (@timlibrarian) reported from Bearpark, England

I suspect if I cancelled the three direct debits I pay every month to @O2 they’d find time to get in touch with me. Help with setting up a new phone when their online SIM swap is banjaxed, not so much.

  • doc_drops
Spooky Scary Skeledrops🎃🎃🎃 (@doc_drops) reported from Newcastle upon Tyne, England

@O2 Your coverage in most of Newcastle is shocking, I live in NE2 and the best signal I get is 1 bar of 3G in my iPhone 7

  • CraigSi64474606
nufc4life (@CraigSi64474606) reported from Newcastle upon Tyne, England

@O2 @O2 fone now completely off and can’t even login to my o2 account online to pay it that way

@TomTugendhat @O2 @EE There's a really easy solution. I've seen this in other countries, and there's no reason it can't be implemented in the UK. Because these networks don't have the ability or will to properly cover the entire country, there's absolutely no reason we can't have domestic roaming in the same way we have international roaming. They wouldn't have to charge for it (although I'd pay if I had to) because every single mobile network would benefit from it. If you can't get an EE signal, for example, you would roam to Vodafone instead. It could be switched on instantly with no expensive engineering needed, but they choose not to do this.

@TomTugendhat @O2 @EE One of the worst areas I have experienced but it well known is Elvetham area of Fleet, Hampshire.

  • iamryanodonnell

@TomTugendhat @O2 O2 is honestly crap. I can’t wait to see the back end of them in December.

  • JohnTillUK
    John Till (@JohnTillUK) reported

@O2 I’ve been a customer of yours for 29 years, yet over the last 18 months the quality of service has gone markedly downhill. No matter where in the country I travel, I struggle to use data yet my work device on a competitors network works absolutely fine, ive filed many 1/

  • roadworkauditor
    @roadworksauditoruk (@roadworkauditor) reported

@O2 Sorry @O2 I don’t understand your response Are you saying you are going to attempt to fix the issue once and for all or are you just offering more fluff?

  • JoeHop04
    Joe Hopkins (@JoeHop04) reported

@O2 I switched to O2 last week and have had no phone line since. My number was ported to a handset that was never delivered and is now stuck at a depot, while my account is locked for suspected fraud.

  • zckmed

@TomTugendhat @O2 Signal in the UK sucks!

  • davehpayne
    Dave Payne (@davehpayne) reported

I’m sick to death of going round in circles with you @O2 - struggled online, instagram was just a bot, phone didn’t solve anything. How do you get away with such a poor service? I wish you put as much effort into providing a reliable mobile service as you do in promoting gigs!

  • TomTugendhat
    Tom Tugendhat (@TomTugendhat) reported

I’m in Dulwich. One of the more expensive areas of London, supposedly a global city, and I’m getting worse mobile phone reception that I did in Kabul a decade ago. I pay for two contracts: @O2 and @EE and neither is reliable so I can’t work. Mobile phones are useless in vast areas of Britain and have got worse. You can never work on a train, unlike in France. But we’re spending £4.5 billion in bike lanes and crossings. This government is prioritising virtue signalling vanity projects when we need infrastructure urgently.

  • BrendanDowlin19
    Brendan Dowling (@BrendanDowlin19) reported

@TomTugendhat @O2 @vodafone No defending any network issues, you've been experiencing, Tom. But, I would imagine, there are some ongoing, nationwide changes going on, with the three networks, not EE, especially with the merger of both Vodafone UK and Three UK!
