-
Kareem (@egyptian_irish) reported from Kilroot, Northern Ireland@O2 Migrating from O2 PM to O2 PAYG has taken 7 days so far, 3 phone calls of over an hour each and teams of people who have no idea what they are doing. Brendan Bonner (@BrendanB2) reported from Belfast, Northern Ireland@O2 I wouldn’t recommend anyone buying online and redeeming your phone. Go to the store, you can’t trust any of the online and virtual services. Was a handling getting phone set up, getting help and they only give you 50% of the value they say (no matter how good your phone is).
-
Adam McCalden (@adammccalden) reported from Belfast, Northern Ireland@virginmedia since my virgin mobile UK signal has been shifted from piggyback Vodafone to @O2 it has been a complete disaster, constant signal dropping, constant WiFi calling cutting. This is before my account has been transferred to O2. Complete and utter rubbish

Em (@EmGymMum) reported from Belfast, Northern Ireland@O2 @KLogan1977 Update: So @O2 asked me to DM details of the issue. I sent it hours ago, yet still no response. I wonder if there is an intention to help or it is an illusion of good customer service. Nor have I got promised call back after 22 hours from the CS phoneline. Not good!!

O2 Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Jo Harrington (@1joharrington) reported@TomTugendhat @O2 UK 5G is dreadful. Third-party user testing from Opensignal and Ookla showed that the everyday user experience in the UK is among the worst in the developed world. 40% of the time your phone shows the "5G" icon in the UK, it is actually running on older 4G infrastructure.
-
what the dickens? (@MitziStaff77788) reported@TomTugendhat @O2 @EE We used to be able to work in France. Then your **** government took that away from us. So sit ******** down and shut ******** up. This **** is all your fault.
-
Toby #FBPE #FBPA (@tobybmth) reported@TomTugendhat @O2 @EE Yes there is a massive problem with phone signal however it didn’t start in July 2024. What were you all upto? Were you busy virtue signalling?
-
Barbara Richardson (@Barbara25122320) reported@TomTugendhat @O2 @EE I’m in Dulwich too. Wasn’t it Boris and his cycling Czar who gave us cycle lanes and closed roads? What did your party do in government to improve mobile service?
-
GBD (@DJBSBC) reported@O2 @TomTugendhat O2 your signal and data in particular is farcical. It’s one industry that has taken the biggest step back in terms of advancements and relies on people using WiFi more often and just ‘accepting’ that the service is ****.
-
Mark Beardmore (@Beardmore8Mark) reported@TomTugendhat @O2 @vodafone Automatic Roaming for UK customers-problem solved #roaming4all
-
Fiona Mountford (@FionaLondonarts) reported@O2 SIX DAYS for a reply to my messsage! I do feel valued as a customer... This simply confirms my decision to leave O2 for a proper grown-up network. Woeful service all round.
-
Dr Hanko Honkasson (@drhanko2) reported@TomTugendhat @O2 @EE Tom Tugendhat suggesting that somehow the Government is responsible for very poor coverage by privately run mobile networks in Dulwich, and that taxpayer should be funding improvements for companies like EE (2025 profits £1.2 billion) as infrastructure rather than cycle lanes.
-
Chris (@ChrisHa21736755) reported@TomTugendhat @O2 @EE The UK mobile companies have been dealing with massive 4G and 5G investment costs and ever decreasing margins due to reducing contract prices. Meanwhile mobile use continues to rise leading to network congestion. All part of a healthy competitive market you might say.
