Tried separating the bands then spent 20 minuets in hold and was advised to try turning the 5Ghz band off completely. No joy. No one is doing me proud.

Does that mean that I can connect my WiFi router from today. Need it asap as I need to work from home. My current supplier has switched my service off.

Kevin Dewes (@kevindewes) reported from Wandsworth, England@Ofcom @Plusnet are letting you sign up to a contract when there’s a distinct chance the firmware they are using on their hardware is causing connectivity problems specifically with the 5Ghz band. Meaning the service is almost unusable on some devices. Isn’t that an issue?

We were switching to you for broadband but nothing has been installed and now our old provider has cut our contract and we have no internet.

Later, they provided engineer visit services and told me that actually I don't need to connect to the Microfilter as required on the handbook, but just use the cable to connect to the socket. Then the network can be used.

Rung Plusnet, no longer supporting Freeview, may need a new box charge could be £160, but system would shutdown in Nov at end of contract - decided to cancel TV option

Is there anything else we can do? (It seems blocking *all* unknown numbers incurs a charge of £4 per month)
