John Grimshaw (@LeanintoDesign) reported from Oldham, England@RischDesigns @fittdr @virginmedia @Plusnet @NOWTV @emmerdale @LoveIsland Thanks for the advice both you and @ASBO_Allstar have said a similar thing so I guess it's a negotiation down in price with a new router to fix @virginmedia crap hardware.
-
John Baxendale (@Siftah) reported from Manchester, England@adechapmanlaw Problem is their phone line is crap, so PlusNet (who they were previously with) also would never get the phone line sorted and they were left with the same crappy speeds. Have signed them up with Sky fibre for less than they were paying for ADSL!

I call you for two occasions that donβt answer for 30 minutes each. At 8pm, it tells me customer service is now closed. What terrible service. Your billing systems work great though

KewCogs (@KewCogs) reported@ArmchairAdml He could switch to plusnet which is actually owned by BT and gives a similar service, but as a new customer, he gets the introductory rates.
-
MachLoopWales (@MachLoopWales) reported@Nolberto099 @ArmchairAdml Not missing the point at all. Well done. It's a common business model to increase charges after the 'new customer' period. There's no loyalty either way, just leave and get the same service from Plusnet/EE (same company as BT) for far less. Takes minutes.
-
Jane L (@lewijan10) reported@MrNickKnowles @SkyUK @skytv I'm with Plusnet never had any probs.
-
Anneli Lort (@annelilort) reported@Plusnet another weekend, another two days of my wifi dropping out constantly. Iβve gone through the help text service, twice now, and still no difference. Itβs gone beyond a joke.
-
Greg Ingham (@GregIngham1) reported@Plusnet Because of this, we'll be looking for 6 months free no charge of our bills with plusnet, customer service and service in general has been shocking.
-
Jude A (@Jaddle) reportedIf you want to know why the UK is draining down the plughole it is encapsulated in this: our internet is rubbish. Plusnet suggested full fibre. 2 months later we still don't have it. It's going to take 3 companies & 4 visits to get it installed. Time, cost, inefficiency. UK 2026
