John Baxendale (@Siftah) reported from Manchester, England@adechapmanlaw Problem is their phone line is crap, so PlusNet (who they were previously with) also would never get the phone line sorted and they were left with the same crappy speeds. Have signed them up with Sky fibre for less than they were paying for ADSL!

I call you for two occasions that donโt answer for 30 minutes each. At 8pm, it tells me customer service is now closed. What terrible service. Your billing systems work great though

Alex ๐ (@alexjb24) reported from Salford, England@Plusnet hello, my internet has kept cutting out all day again. My postcode is M5 4SG. This is happening far too frequently. Can you please fix it? When this happened last time you were able to fix it remotely instead of sending an engineer so hope thatโs possible. Thanks
-
David (@DavidWildJnr) reported from Whitworth, England@Plusnet I believe the minimum speed was added AFTER installation and after I contacted you. You have dropped my speed from the original 5Mb to around 1Mb as a response to each complaint I make. Perhaps the inferstructure should be investigated. Please forward me complaints email address.

GeeMan (@Greymayce) reported@tina0402x The trouble is all other providers BT Plusnet etc apart from Virgin use the same cabling, be it copper or fibre it all comes from the exchange. I worked at BT and this was explained by an engineer in the training. Copper is being phased out.

Mark Crowther (@MarkTWIC) reported@Owramgirl @bt_uk I'm considering Vodaphone if price is the main concern, Plusnet is also on that list. Zen if I decide to pay more for a company that seems more customer focused. All are cheaper than the best offer from BT.

Richard (@visitandtravel) reportedI just signed up for Starlink - finally gave in, the EE 4G has been broken for 3/4 days - now basically running on candle power - back onto the fallback BT copper broadband @ Plusnet - 3MB connection and costing me ยฃ28 a month on a 1 year contract - a lot more for the standard line rental and broadband if I do not take the 1 year contract. So now as I am in Caithness 3 miles away from a telephone exchange I need to pay EE for semi-decent 4G broadband when it works, and BT through Plusnet to have a working telephone for emergencies if 4G fails - as it does. And yet I still have the emails from the Scottish Government from over 8 years ago saying everyone would be on fast fibre connection by 2020 or around that time. I checked with Openreach and they have no intention of laying fibre to the property even though they can get access to a Government grant of over ยฃ4,400 to do so. A company, Highland Broadband is busy taking these rural fibre broadband grants and doing their best to get the north of Scotland rural and small towns connected - I am signed up for a 1GB fibre connection - supposed to be getting installed this summer - I just cant wait that long so - yet another expense for a poor pensioner (me) having to pay out for yet another broadband connection with Starlink. As I am in contract to Plusnet (BT), EE I can see if Highland Broadband do deliver the fibre by July - I will have 4 contracted broadband accounts until the contracts run out. If Only the Scottish Government had kept to their promises I would only need to have one connection.
