John English (@johnoenglish) reported from Berkhamsted, England@virginmedia Firstly, I am new to virgin (3 weeks). I have had to call the faults team 3 times and on each occasion 60+ minutes to wait. Having faults is bad enough but to wait over an hour (almost 3 this evening) is not on. My speed is not as advertised / promised. 1/2

-
Ed Webb (@theedthemed) reported from Chesham Bois, England@virginmedia Many comments on requesting compensation. You have directed customers to your compensation policy. But this only mentions phone, broadband, service installation or missed appointments. Nothing about loss of TV services. So what about TV service compensation ?
-
seanhannam (@seanhannam) reported from Chesham Bois, EnglandDidn’t realised upgrading our @virginmedia internet would cripple my home office. Wireless @HP printer can’t find the network and I have to get new boosters for the other rooms in the house. So frustrating - I’ve wasted so much time trying to sort it all out. To no avail.
-
Luke Delahunty (@LukeDelahunty) reported from Aylesbury Vale, England@virginmedia There’s not enough slack on the cable to fix a connector. It’ll need a new cable laying. I’m still waiting for the form for permission that I was promised days ago. Maybe the carrier pigeon got lost.
-
seanhannam (@seanhannam) reported from Chesham Bois, England@virginmedia Is this how you treat your ‘priority customers?’ During a cost of living crisis, we have chosen to stay with you, yet you can’t pull your finger out to look after your customers. I work from home but can’t fully use the service I’m paying for due to your incompetence.
-
Aaron Phethean (@aphethean) reported from Berkhamsted, EnglandTechnical team denying ordering a new box that has failed to materialise. Any chance of a straight answer on this @virginmedia? No TV over Christmas. Bad form.
-
ᒍᗩᑎE (@gemmak500) reported from Chesham Bois, England@virginmedia Yes there were, we received a text at 2am to say it was (finally) fixed but it isn’t & we are now expected to go through the entire reporting/testing the router process again. No engineer for days. This is NOT a router issue, it’s affecting many homes. #bangsheadonwall
-
Raza (@hassanrh) reported from Chesham Bois, England@virginmedia turns out speed is not the main thing when choosing a broadband provider it’s WiFi availability. This contract is not working for me, I need a provider who has high WiFi availability in all my rooms, especially if I am within 10 metres of the router
-
Thom Pirouet 🔶🇪🇺🏳️🌈 (@CarryOnThom) reported from Chesham Bois, EnglandBeen 45 minutes trying to get in touch with #virginmedia ! Website has NOTHING to help just to call Customer Service. I’m starting to feel as tho they really don’t actually want customers ....
-
Geo 🍍 (@GeoRog7) reported from Milton Keynes, England@virginmedia I agree they wont but if you see the loss i am getting of -82dbm from being 7 metres away surely a pod will expand coverage into that area with the poor signal strength? If i stand next door to the router i get my expected speeds - thanks
-
Matthew SladePedrick (@Mattpsp) reported from Leighton Buzzard, EnglandAnyway while I'm waiting I'm going to do myself some slow cooked lamb in the virgin media opps sorry slow cooker. I might also have to recharge as my phone only last 12 to 14 hours - laters
-
seanhannam (@seanhannam) reported from Chesham Bois, England@virginmedia Thanks - I’m not going to trust it again, so won’t bother using the record function, as it’s too unreliable. I’ll stick to streaming on catch-up and buying DVD and Blu-ray discs from now on. Another dissatisfied customer, eh? And we’ve just increased how much we pay... 😡
-
Luke Delahunty (@LukeDelahunty) reported from Aylesbury Vale, England@virginmedia Thanks. I filed a complaint 6 days ago and unsurprisingly am yet to hear anything. I feel like I’m being quite negative about VM so I’d like to give you some praise. 2 things you’re good at: 1. Replying to Tweets. 2. Apologising. Unfortunately both not very helpful.
-
Daniel Pett (@DEJPett) reported from Aldbury, EnglandAny tech journalists out there looking into @virginmedia poor customer service, ping @jonnypett for a chat.
