@virginmedia 2. The 2.4ghs remained ok, our internet connection was fine. The intermittent problems are that we have a loss of WiFi connection and/or drop in performance. This seems to only to affect the WiFi devices and not the hardwired devices leading us to believe it’s an issue with the

@virginmedia I want an engineer to attend ASAP. I’ve had a text saying the fault is resolved but it’s not. I’ve told you that we had a booster fitted in September which was working fine until you did the upgrade in my street last week and now it’s still not working. The booster needs updating

@virginmedia Hi. I can see there’s an ongoing issue with the TV in my area with fix date of 1600hrs 25th. This has been going on for over a week now & the blips/surges through the box & it constantly resetting is becoming really annoying & has even taken the wifi out sometimes.

@virginmedia And @virginmedia another point.. you say you offer compensation when your service fails.. not charging me for something you aren’t delivering is NOT compensation.. like going to a restaurant and being told we won’t be charging u for the food we won’t serve!! A disgrace

  • RHerbert95
Rory Herbert (@RHerbert95) reported from Dunstable, England

@virginmedia It's for the broadband, we've had issues for the past few days and speeds of <1mbps, the automated hotline said there were intermitent issues and we didn't have a chance to talk to anyone because the hold was too long

@LutzSchueler @virginmedia We’ve been waiting since January for VM fibre to be installed and the customer service has been shocking. I’ve raised 3 complaints emailed your office and still have not had the service installed. Next stop the communications ombudsman !!

  • JayneNunez11
    Kelli Jayne Nunez (@JayneNunez11) reported

@keithward329 @virginmedia Depends. Auto replies are usually garbage, but the real issue is no human loop. We set up Replymer to catch mentions, then still route the messy ones to a person.

  • markrmifsud

@hobson21435 @virginmedia Same in North Weald. Fix is currently 12:00 Monday

  • CBTwizard
    Shelton (@CBTwizard) reported

@OliverGMcManus @virginmedia I was in a pretty similar boat, now they're chasing me for £500 early termination I was fed up with the poor reliability, then lost full connection, lost income (WFH), them pushing the fix dates over a month no service. Left to BRSK, never had an issue, far cheaper, far better.

  • CarryOnGemma
    CarryOnGemma (@CarryOnGemma) reported

@virginmedia this has gone beyond the pale now. You already know all the issues my dad and I have had for, well, weeks now. Dad had all his recordings deleted and now his new recordings are recording and now, when he’s watched part of something he can’t go back and watch it because it says the recording has failed. This has happened on every recording. It seems to record fine then changes to failed. Get this sorted and get the broadband sorted. How @Ofcom isn’t all over this I don’t know. Pushing people to take the V6 and then a year later this happens. Shocking.

  • Mattyamc
    Mathew (@Mattyamc) reported

@OliverGMcManus @virginmedia Every broadband company has a minimum speed they must deliver, if there failing then you are well within your rights to cancel. Call citizens advice, they have professional lawyers that will speak to them for you and trust me they will kick them in the nuts while there at it.

  • df1888
    d_f1888 (@df1888) reported

@virginmedia @LutzSchueler We’ve been trying to have VM install fibre bb to our home after multiple postponements, numerous phone calls, raising 3 complaints, even emailing the CEO office(who haven’t responded) we are still waiting for the service to be installed.

  • Nasher6328
    Mr Nash (@Nasher6328) reported

@OliverGMcManus @virginmedia Under UK law (primarily the Consumer Rights Act 2015), broadband services must be provided with reasonable care and skill and be of satisfactory quality. A complete outage lasting 7 weeks is almost certainly a breach, giving you the right to end the contract and seek a remedy (like cancellation without penalty or a refund for the affected period). Virgin Media participates in Ofcom's automatic compensation scheme for total loss of service (no internet at all via wired connection). You should already be getting ~£10.34 per day automatically after the first 2 full working days of reporting the fault. This doesn't directly let you cancel penalty-free, but it supports your case.

  • samtilston
    Sam Tilston (@samtilston) reported

This isn't just a bad press cycle for Virgin Media O2. We are tracking a specific pattern of synthetic 'outage' reports designed to trigger algorithmic short-selling and erode public trust in UK telecoms infrastructure during a sensitive regulatory window.
