@virginmedia “Have you checked for any issues in your area” No I have not checked that link. It is intermittent; one minute it is useable and next the internet service is missing; it is regular occurrence, happens almost daily!?

  • Claydon8Tim
tim (@Claydon8Tim) reported from Hitchin, England

@virginmedia Sorry. That’s it. Sorry. Yes I’ve checked and the WiFi is now working. I also checked and I’ll still be billed the full amount for a 2nd rate service that doesn’t in anyway match your glitzy empty advertising campaigns.

  • jamescun
James Cunningham (@jamescun) reported from London Colney, England

@doismellburning @danpalmer I have a self-hosted box with DigitalOcean in London. My use case is isolation from local networks and ISP privacy (I know I’m just moving the problem, but I trust DO more than Virgin Media). For those cases, VPN providers are a haven for data collection, so no.

  • TriciaCaputo
Patricia Rayney Ⓥ (@TriciaCaputo) reported from Luton, England

@virginmedia We have business broadband and received an email saying that there was a planned outage in our area. As we are due to give a live broadcast soon we need to know if the work has been completed.

  • sjdhatters
I Make Stuff Up On Tw*tter (@sjdhatters) reported from Stoke Mandeville, England

@virginmedia I refer back to my original tweet. Zero attempt to resolve my issue. Just can't do it. Your solution is not acceptable to me or new owner. Can you please provide details on how to escalate this to a complaint? What if I cancel DD and then set up new DD with new owner details?

  • PrimaryxTeacher
Angela 💫 (@PrimaryxTeacher) reported from Dunstable, England

@virginmedia my WiFi is down and on service checker it’s says no fault, I try to do the test but the website crashes after clicking “test” button.

Virgin Media Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • philbreadin
    Phil (@philbreadin) reported

@virginmedia how come my bill has jumped from £55 to £72 mid contract? I understand it's April and a small price increase is expected but £17 is taking the mick. With the issues I've had lately @sky is looking more tempting.

  • formerprisoner_
    Reformed Prisoner (@formerprisoner_) reported

@virginmedia 2/2 cont… ombudsman. You constantly failed to deliver a service, made constant promises and failed to deliver on them, so you were left with no choice but to agree to the cancellation. You are quite comfortably the worst broadband provider I have ever come across.

  • ConnorH_20
    Connor (@ConnorH_20) reported

@virginmedia Intermittent signal in your area for days now. Keep disconnecting and connecting, and extremely laggy. Awful Broadband.

  • nottinghillman
    Nottinghill Man (@nottinghillman) reported

@virginmedia I think this has been reported now but our WiFi at W2 4TJ went down on Wednesday evening. A call out engineer the next the next morning merely confirmed that the problem is apparently on the street, not in our house as the engineer apparently thought initially. But no repair yet

  • Shef1212
    M U (@Shef1212) reported

@virginmedia no internet, but I need to wait 5 days for engineer! You say you invest millions and increase prices. Been with you since 2010. Why is it so difficult to log a complaint on the phone too? Shocking & ridiculous service. My contract is due in 2 months.

  • shauny67
    Shaun (@shauny67) reported

@virginmedia @itswesty Is this WiFi or ethernet if WiFi will be a device issue. Turn all devices off, restart the hub then bring one device up at a time until the internet drops then will know which device has the issue.

  • janeamanda67
    Jane Samuels (@janeamanda67) reported

@virginmedia I have already done that multiple times and there is an issue in my area, which was confirmed by customer services, but taking 10 days to rectify it is not acceptable

  • coomerdarren
    Darren Coomer (@coomerdarren) reported

@O2 What an absolute joke of a company since virgin media i can't access my O2 app spoken to 2 people who said they will get this issue resolved & again nothing i still can't us the O2 app because I need a virgin account ******* sort it out !!

  • Shef1212
    M U (@Shef1212) reported

@virginmedia still waiting for an engineer. I now been told I need to wait 12 days for an engineer to fix a damaged cable outside. No one wants to listen.

  • AlloquiStrix
    Alloqui Strix (@AlloquiStrix) reported

If it took me over a week to fix a network problem (it will actually be 10 days when @virginmedia get around to fixing our problem) I would have been fired. And you can't seem to register for compensation, even if you follow @virginmedia's own help system
