  • hw_renewe
Harold Wicks (@hw_renewe) reported from Hemel Hempstead, England

@virginmedia “Have you checked for any issues in your area” No I have not checked that link. It is intermittent; one minute it is useable and next the internet service is missing; it is regular occurrence, happens almost daily!?

@TheStevieG123 @virginmedia I had a similar issue with EE (plus the phone wasn't a good enough upgrade for the money!) I sent it back within 14 days and got a sim only. 5g prob won't be worthwhile over here for some time yet

@Paulos_the_fog @virginmedia Because of home working I upgraded to 350mbps package and was getting that until a few months ago measured using a variety of apps - now it’s down to 80 consistently.

@virginmedia I refer back to my original tweet. Zero attempt to resolve my issue. Just can't do it. Your solution is not acceptable to me or new owner. Can you please provide details on how to escalate this to a complaint? What if I cancel DD and then set up new DD with new owner details?

  • mrmarkgale
Mark Gale (@mrmarkgale) reported from Hemel Hempstead, England

@virginmedia Honestly, do you think 2.92mb when I'm paying for 500mb is acceptable. Been a customer for 20 years, I can't wait to leave you!

@virginmedia Saturday going in to Sunday no service for the majority of the day and the service checker you recommend tells me there’s an issue in my area. No **** Sherlock! But I bet you’ll still want your full payment when it’s due. And I thought BT broadband was bad

Sort your ******* Internet out @virginmedia 3 times it's went off since AV woke up n gives you the same bullshit excuse on the service status.

  • EpicureanCat
    Epicurean Cat (@EpicureanCat) reported

@premnsikka I had this exact experience with Virgin media, including failure to cancel a direct debit, two payments taken after cancellation, then a complete runaround through call centres with less than basic English spoken in an attempt to get a refund. I would never use @virginmedia.

  • pestowitch
    jen 🎃 (@pestowitch) reported

Now where is my reimbursement for the time they wouldn’t let me cancel mine (without paying out the rest of the contract) bc I was moving somewhere that already HAD a virgin media contract…

    Dobbin1957 (@dobbin1957) reported

@MIKEYJ0726 @virginmedia @skytv Me too mate. Eye watering prices and crap customer service aren’t a great combination but it’s one that Virgin seem to prefer. Sky here I come and I don’t care if it costs me more..

  • BelfastBooks
    Belfast Books (@BelfastBooks) reported

@TrevorM63275988 Having dealt with Virgin Media on behalf of clients for more than 20 years, I can say their customer service has changed dramatically. They now appear to rely heavily on contact deflection, a practice where customers are repeatedly directed towards web chat, FAQs and automated systems instead of being able to speak to a human adviser. While contact deflection is intended to reduce support costs, my experience is that it has reached the point where accessing a person has become unnecessarily difficult. I'll I'll be raising it with Ofcom under the complaint they have against them.
