Jason Flynn 💙 (@jasondflynn) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England
@AdamDea29742908 @virginmedia But buying one between £50 and £200 will probably suit most and if it turns out it doesn’t solve your problems it hasn’t broken the bank. I went for an Asus one at about £120. Netgear is another strong brand. I had poor WiFi for years and it was a massive improvement. 2/2

HK (@harrydotcom_) reported from St Albans, England
No info from contact centre staff - not able to help and told not getting compensation @virginmedia @MoneyTelegraph text yesterday say resolved, call today to say text sent in error - new resolve date of 18 feb. No explanation. No help. Slow and broadband cutting out.
-
Jason Flynn 💙 (@jasondflynn) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England
@virginmedia You do realise that the majority of messages sent to you are people complaining that your Wi-Fi is very poor? So perhaps concentrate on that for existing clients rather than pushing new sales? Poor router is the issue. #slowerfaraway

@virginmedia Hi, so atleast once a week my internet stops working... I’ve done the usual reboot etc. Last time I rang up because I’ve had enough of it, especially with my package going form £28 to £43. When I rang the technician done some kind of reboot to help stop this problem.

Lisa Kathryn (@LisaKathryn5) reported from St Albans, England
@virginmedia is on demand down for the night? Several reboots, called 150 , robot voice ran the so called check and said all was ok. V217 code brings up ‘contact us’ error on the ‘brilliant’ new app. Please advise

Jake Kirby (@848Jake) reported from Toddington, England
@virginmedia The issue has been random and, with typical timing, I can’t find it right now so I guess you can’t help.
-
Dawn Cutting (@CuttingDawn) reported from Bricket Wood, England
@virginmedia terrible service, I’ve tried calling and online chat to no avail. You’re blaming Covid but surely by now you’ve sorted out working from home or office. I need to speak to you but you avoid all customers!
-

Jake Kirby (@848Jake) reported from Toddington, England
@virginmedia We have been trying to contact you for 3 days for a replacement TiVo box. No answer on the telephone and online chat will not help us - not what I’d call Customer Service
-
Susan Bailey (@SusanBailey63) reported from Stevenage District, England
@virginmedia what do I have to do to actually be able to communicate with you? Been trying since the beginning of January to no avail - calls unanswered, messages and emails ignored. If I cancel my direct debit today maybe you’ll soon respond 😡
-
Jake Kirby (@848Jake) reported from Toddington, England
@virginmedia Not sure@of the model name - barcode on the back has two numbers C8 1862094XCCFRVD and M: 24374C4F1E0F - does that help you ?

Jason Flynn 💙 (@jasondflynn) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England
@VisctFishpond @virginmedia I had similar problems to you; got the runaround from Virgin. Lots of research done and the issue is almost certainly the router. You can buy a third-party router and turn the virgin router into a modem. Solved all my problems. Worth a try.
-
Irma Ritu Arora (@ritu2009) reported from Harpenden, England
@virginmedia horrendous customer service, no wifi despite 100mb speed I am paying for
-
Jason Flynn 💙 (@jasondflynn) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England
@StMirrenDaft @virginmedia @mat_fraser One of the key issues is their router. It’s rubbish and has programming which means main signal isn’t direct for WiFi. I had this problem; buy another router and turn Virgin one into modem. It solved my problem.
-
Simon Hale (@Halo1975) reported from Luton, England
@virginmedia 2nd day on the trot someone claiming to be from your ‘tech support’ dept. have called our landline no. claiming there’s a problem with our broadband; there’s not, it’s clearly a scam. I’ve a number that they called from to share with you if you like? Can I DM this??
-
HK (@harrydotcom_) reported from St Albans, England
Hi @virginmedia having constant broadband issues AL1 St Albans. I’ve logged numerous calls and now the text service isn’t responding to me. Internet cuts in and out all day. Was told would be fixed on 13th but now no one is answering the phone. I’ve tried to call again today but

MikeP (@Mikeedpembo) reported from Luton, England
Hi @virginmedia , are your customer service phonelines not working today? Seem either engaged or number unobtainable?
-
Jason Flynn 💙 (@jasondflynn) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England
@Lindzell_LFC @virginmedia It’s their router. All the calls in the world won’t change the problem. You can buy a new router abs connect it to the Virgin one. Worked for me.

Craig (@cdrider1) reported
@virginmedia I don’t have a virgin landline. Why not at least give another option rather than assuming? This is not good customer service.
-
gtTest123456789 (@tiberti_g) reported
@virginmedia getting absolutely unreliable connection while doing audio/videoconferences with MS Teams and the likes. Customer service failing absolutely useless. People are heavily disrupted by all these issues!
-
Jon Deguara (@DeguaraJon) reported
@virginmedia Only Wireless compatible. The WiFi keeps disconnecting. I am getting between 200ms-300ms of ping when it works. This is awful
-
Marge Dacre (@MargeDacre) reported
@virginmedia I have already done this a few times. Every time I call for help I am told there is a 'localised problem' that aims to be fixed by 23/11 ... though generally I just get an automated response
-
gtTest123456789 (@tiberti_g) reported
@virginmedia Tried them all. Ms Teams will work intermittently while doing calls and video calls. As people are forced to work from home this is an essential service to be offered while I have to try and cope tethering from my phone, while paying for your useless service
-
gtTest123456789 (@tiberti_g) reported
@virginmedia This is the type of response I’ve been hearing for the past months while you’re service is not working as it should. Trying to cancel the service leads to being cut out on the phone. Do something for your customers!
-
Chris Malkin (@Chrismalkinuk) reported
@virginmedia Not to my knowledge. It’s a problem with the router itself. Won’t let me access the settings, plus, WiFi extremely slow
-
Karen Cripps (@karen_cripps) reported
@virginmedia Thanks for replying. My daughter was told no service issues on the one occasion she got through to you, but since then each time she gets through the phone hangs up? Will get her to pm you.
-
Teresa Steele (@Rustique_Maison) reported
@virginmedia Yes, but I never registered it. I never received a confirmation email from you after order,, so didn’t know account number or reference code. When I eventually got an email from you it had these details. When tried to Regis told me account already existed!

Paddy O'Byrne (@paddy_obyrne) reported
@virginmedia UPDATE: Still yet to receive an acknowledgement of my formal complaint on the 26th October and no sign of the cheque for the amount I overpaid by....
