  • steviehind
stevie hind (@steviehind) reported from Stevenage District, England

@virginmedia Yes I have spoken to your tech guys. I have tried everything they suggested to no avail. All they say is I need to pay £5 extra a month for a booster which I think is unfair as I have done nothing to cause this issue

  • mjdes
Mike Desborough (@mjdes) reported from Stevenage District, England

Hi @virginmedia I have to wait 72 hours to speak to a manager about an issue. This is after 5 hours on the phone to you and only a manager can authorise what I need. Shocking considering the amount of money we pay you. We have no working broadband for a 2 key worker house

  • PurpleWisdom
purplewisdom (@PurpleWisdom) reported from Bedford, England

@virginmedia @markscamilleri I’ve tried rebooting nothing is happening. All these people telling you they have no service can’t all be wrong. Stop giving us the same answer, we’re not idiots.

  • NPaladina
Nancy Paladina (@NPaladina) reported from Bedford, England

@virginmedia Had to have a really tough call this evening to query a bill sent to my deceased father’s address. I want to highlight the exceptional customer service I received from Franco (no idea how else to identify him), but he was truly amazing and did everything he could 👏🏼

  • DannyTsang
Danny Tsang (@DannyTsang) reported from Stevenage District, England

@Ofcom Thanks. I wasn't able to find anything on @virginmedia site for requesting compensation so I have raised a complaint instead.

  • jasondflynn
Jason Flynn 💙 (@jasondflynn) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England

@StephenD1402 @virginmedia It’s the router Steve. The free Virgin router is the problem. Buy a new router from someone like Asus and turn the Virgin one to Modem mode. Should solve most problems.

  • maggietodd10
maggie.todd@live.co. (@maggietodd10) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England

@virginmedia We can’t use landline because of fault. Tried mobile - no response. We shouldn’t have to keep reporting. You know there is a problem. Fix it please.

  • PurpleWisdom
purplewisdom (@PurpleWisdom) reported from Bedford, England

@virginmedia @markscamilleri I have no service at all despite you saying it’s been restored. Can’t even get into the website to report. Everything is down even though it’s showing it isn’t.

  • NikLane7
Nik Lane (@NikLane7) reported from Hertfordshire, England

@TheStevieG123 @virginmedia I had a similar issue with EE (plus the phone wasn't a good enough upgrade for the money!) I sent it back within 14 days and got a sim only. 5g prob won't be worthwhile over here for some time yet

  • chanderson76
Chanders (@chanderson76) reported from Stevenage District, England

@virginmedia 46 minutes on chat going round in circles…..any chance of some customer service?

  • loobylou470
Lisa 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧🐶⚽️🍺 (@loobylou470) reported from Stevenage District, England

@virginmedia So you've just admitted you've had an increase in custom, meaning an increase in profits, yet I and other customers have to pay for you to expand your network? Greedy, greedy, greedy. Pay for it yourselves. Just seen the same package thru @bt_uk for £21 a month less. Bye

  • bobster76
Robert Beahan 💙 (@bobster76) reported from Hertfordshire, England

@virginmedia Thanks. I’ve clicked the link but it only tells me there is no known issue. Is it possible to speak to a human being, please?

  • Dan_lutonbear
dan@randrhotrodimports (@Dan_lutonbear) reported from Luton, England

@virginmedia Same as usual. Bots. Round and round in circles I want to cancel virgin media. Maybe you will contact me when I cancel any further direct debit payment 😡😡😡

  • johnait72020789
John Aitken (@johnait72020789) reported from Stotfold, England

@virginmedia Hi virgin just rang the phone number you have gave us to call but we went through using the key pad and then all you said was we will send a text message with way to fix which don’t work.

  • lutonmagoo
Big E (@lutonmagoo) reported from Caddington, England

@virginmedia I will call this number at some point today when it’s appropriate but no it’s still not working and when I put in my area code still says sorry we cannot tell you what’s going on?

  • PaulClayton25
Paul Clayton (@PaulClayton25) reported from Stevenage District, England

@virginmedia loving the great customer services #NOT. No reply to my tweet from this morning! When this issue is repaired I demand a deduction, as this issue looks like it is going to affect my wife’s work tomorrow!

  • johnait72020789
John Aitken (@johnait72020789) reported from Stotfold, England

@virginmedia Hi I’ve tried using the link you sent to fix our problem but it keeps just turn off and restarting itself. It happens whether we watch live tv or recorded programmes.

  • IanSMcNee
    Ian McNee (@IanSMcNee) reported

I ditched @VirginMedia years ago over terrible customer service - this is the same as water companies: a semi-monopoly owned by US finance: asset stripping profiteers. Switched to local independent Andrews & Arnold - @AAISP. Top service, real people on the phone who fix problems.

  • Bhavinmaru2020
    Bhavin (@Bhavinmaru2020) reported

@virginmedia Hi Virgin My internet has gone down again this fourth time in a month se my previous messages

  • Vocalandproudx
    Vocal and Proud (@Vocalandproudx) reported

The £28 million fine by @Ofcom was long overdue. Hopefully, it sends a clear message to @virginmedia and the rest of the industry that making it difficult for customers to cancel simply isn’t acceptable.

  • CliveDaviesUK
    🇺🇦 Clive Davies #FBPE 🔶🇬🇧🇪🇺🇭🇰 (@CliveDaviesUK) reported

.@virginmedia So 2 days with no TV, no broadband, no landline and an @o2 mobile with no signal. A fix date of 15th July!!!? Zero means of communication. Totally unreliable. What a dreadful company you are. So pleased you got fined. When will this be fixed?

  • StiffNips2
    Simone-Lee Deal (@StiffNips2) reported

@ChrisCorney1 Had that with my 91 yr old mum, she was charged 2x the going rate by Virgin, had dementia and obvs couldn't remember what her password was, so Virgin wouldn't let her cancel. I got there in the end, but @virginmedia are bastards

  • tescomobile

@Laraisthecroft1 @virginmedia Hi Lara, I am so sorry to hear you have been having issues with your signal. Is this in all areas? - Zoie

  • SlimMethod

Virgin Media fined over cancellation practices - UK regulator Ofcom has fined Virgin Media £28 million (about $37 million) after finding it made it unnecessarily difficult for customers to cancel their contracts.

  • mitzpatel85
    Mitesh Patel (@mitzpatel85) reported

@Channel4News Don’t think £28m justifies their actions.. if they were deliberately putting customers on hold and dropping call while they tried to cancel, the fine should be £1bn - absolutely pathetic from Virgin Media
