Jason Flynn 💙 (@jasondflynn) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England@virginmedia @mouthwaite Hi John; just jumping in on this. You really need to start advising customers properlyit doesn’t matter how many technicians visit it won’t solve the problem of the poor standard router and your default settings.
-
tim (@Claydon8Tim) reported from Hitchin, England@virginmedia Sorry. That’s it. Sorry. Yes I’ve checked and the WiFi is now working. I also checked and I’ll still be billed the full amount for a 2nd rate service that doesn’t in anyway match your glitzy empty advertising campaigns.
-
Roy Long (@Roy_Long) reported from Clapham, England@SamRobertsComms @virginmedia They are about as good as Three for customer services. Complete bags of smelly stuff.
-
Jason Flynn 💙 (@jasondflynn) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England@virginmedia And to re-emphasise what I’ve said countless times before; you’re wasting peoples time, because you don’t tell them that it is your router that causes most of the problems. Can’t believe @Ofcom allow this.
-
Paul Clayton (@PaulClayton25) reported from Hitchin, England@virginmedia #virginmobile last night I was disgusted in your customer service when talking on phone. So you advised me to use the messaging service, what a great service.
-

Jason Flynn 💙 (@jasondflynn) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England@VisctFishpond @virginmedia I had similar problems to you; got the runaround from Virgin. Lots of research done and the issue is almost certainly the router. You can buy a third-party router and turn the virgin router into a modem. Solved all my problems. Worth a try.
-
Edward Bro (@EdMcDougall99) reported from Bedford, EnglandVirgin media mobile data being very bad today

John Aitken (@johnait72020789) reported from Stotfold, England@virginmedia why do I only get a notice saying channel failed when I watch sky sports channel live, I can watch any other channel you provide me and don’t have a issue. I have done everything that you tell me to do but it still keeps happening.
-
Jason Flynn 💙 (@jasondflynn) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England@AdamDea29742908 @virginmedia But buying one between £50 and £200 will probably suit most and if it turns out it doesn’t solve your problems it hasn’t broken the bank. I went for an Asus one at about £120. Netgear is another strong brand. I had poor WiFi for years and it was a massive improvement. 2/2
-
Jason Flynn 💙 (@jasondflynn) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England@StephenD1402 @virginmedia It’s the router Steve. The free Virgin router is the problem. Buy a new router from someone like Asus and turn the Virgin one to Modem mode. Should solve most problems.

Only issue is your promotional discount doesn’t renew on the new contract.
-
Andrea ™ 🏳️🌈 (@I_am_Leighton_) reportedApparently to change to a new contract within @virginmedia they have to leave me with no tv etc for 4 days even though I’m already with them. NICK🇬🇧 ⚽LEICESTER.CITY.FC⚽ (@Nick_LCFC_fan_1) reported@virginmedia The biggest problem I'm having with virgin 360 is the removal of the best features from the old software. Where is the "wishlist" recording mode so I can record anything that has "*random city name*" in the description? I have so many more problems. We need a money discount..
-
🇬🇧🔥 FIRE is awesome 😎 (@GrahamCompton) reported@CompoundingISA @MartinSLewis @ao Such short sighted customer service experience. I's like dealing with Virgin Media 10 years ago. I had to tell them 2-3 times that yes, I really did want to cancel. Thankfully, I was only on hold for a few minutes.
-
Bella Harvey 🇬🇧🏴🇬🇧 (@Lady__Britannia) reported@trapdoor456 @virginmedia Switched from rip off Virgin to Box Broadband a few years ago, now Community Fibre ... Never looked back
-
Eternal Elneny (@eternalelneny) reported@virginmedia With all due respect, the engineers have been there all day, I saw two of them having a 20 minute lunch break at 10am. Can you push these engineers to get this completed today? Compensation isn’t a valid response to not being able to work - ridiculous service.

Wolf of X (@WolfofX) reportedIn 2003, Stan Beaton lost his wife, Ruby, to stomach cancer. Before she passed away, she had recorded the voicemail greeting for their home telephone. It was an ordinary message to anyone else, but to Stan it became the last recording of her voice. For more than a decade, he kept that voicemail safe. He even stayed with the same phone company because he feared changing providers might erase it. Whenever he missed Ruby, he would call his own home just to hear her say, "Sorry, at the moment, Stan and Ruby are not available..." For him, those few seconds were enough to bring her close again. Then, in December 2014, a network upgrade accidentally deleted the recording. Stan was heartbroken. He later said it felt like losing his wife all over again. Believing there was nothing left to lose, he contacted Virgin Media and asked if there was any way to recover it. What followed was something no one expected. Eleven telecommunications engineers spent three days searching through backup systems for a single deleted audio file. They described it as looking for a needle in a haystack, but they refused to give up. They found it. Instead of simply returning the recording, BBC Radio Leeds arranged a surprise during an interview with Stan. As Ruby's familiar voice filled the room once again, he broke down in tears. "That's her. Wonderful. Wonderful." The company later gave Stan permanent copies of the recording on a CD so he would never have to fear losing it again. It wasn't just a recovered voicemail. It was the return of the last words he could still hear from the woman he loved, a voice that had waited silently for years until someone cared enough to bring it back.
