Virgin Media Issues Reports Near Bedford, England

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Bedford and nearby locations:

  • tony_cop Tony (@tony_cop) reported from Ampthill, England

@LloydGriffith @virginmedia The worst company to deal with by some distance. Can never talk to anyone. Just some automated guff. Where you go round in circles

  • Gordonsalive200 Stuart Paterson (@Gordonsalive200) reported from Bedford, England

Are there any other UK @skytv customers having trouble with Sky Q boxes over a #virginmedia broadband connection?

  • drjawor Michał Jawornik (@drjawor) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England

    @virginmedia But it’s not working.

  • Just_Woodbridge Justine (@Just_Woodbridge) reported from Wellingborough, England

@virginmedia I thought my issue was resolved yesterday, but today I’ve had an email saying something different. I text the number again, at 11.28am, the bot replied but nothing since then?!

  • jasondflynn Jason Flynn 💙 (@jasondflynn) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England

@StMirrenDaft @virginmedia @mat_fraser One of the key issues is their router. It’s rubbish and has programming which means main signal isn’t direct for WiFi. I had this problem; buy another router and turn Virgin one into modem. It solved my problem.

  • jasondflynn Jason Flynn 💙 (@jasondflynn) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England

@virginmedia You do realise that the majority of messages sent to you are people complaining that your Wi-Fi is very poor? So perhaps concentrate on that for existing clients rather than pushing new sales? Poor router is the issue. #slowerfaraway

  • TMITV19 Let's get back to normal #KBF (@TMITV19) reported from Bedford, England

@virginmedia Yes after a phone call. Now I'm actively looking into moving to @skytv after the poor service.

  • swimmingsu Su Felce (@swimmingsu) reported from Cardington, England

@virginmedia 1/2 been on the phone for over an hour on hold waiting for customer service - finally get through and the customer service rep cuts me off before I even say what I want...

  • jasondflynn Jason Flynn 💙 (@jasondflynn) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England

@AdamDea29742908 @virginmedia But buying one between £50 and £200 will probably suit most and if it turns out it doesn’t solve your problems it hasn’t broken the bank. I went for an Asus one at about £120. Netgear is another strong brand. I had poor WiFi for years and it was a massive improvement. 2/2

  • jasondflynn Jason Flynn 💙 (@jasondflynn) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England

@virginmedia @mouthwaite Hi John; just jumping in on this. You really need to start advising customers properlyit doesn’t matter how many technicians visit it won’t solve the problem of the poor standard router and your default settings.

  • Just_Woodbridge Justine (@Just_Woodbridge) reported from Wellingborough, England

@virginmedia Tried this 3 times today. It will not submit my complaint. Very handy.

  • NICKJSIMONS Nick Simons (@NICKJSIMONS) reported from Bedford, England

@virginmedia trying to cancel Sky Sports for my mum after my fathers death. Repeatedly On hold for 50 mins each time then you hang up. No facility to do it online!! Any help.

  • TMITV19 Let's get back to normal #KBF (@TMITV19) reported from Bedford, England

@virginmedia Eventually I looked at my phone and saw that they'd replied after 3 hours. I saw it half an hour later and replied but they then weren't talking to me. The next day I called up and got through after 3 minutes. Using covid as an excuse for poor service is awful.

  • TMITV19 Let's get back to normal #KBF (@TMITV19) reported from Bedford, England

    @virginmedia *poor

  • trushar108 Trushār Patel (@trushar108) reported from Wellingborough, England

@Virgin @virginmedia @richardbranson Dear Virgin Media, unlawful pretending fraudulent callers keep ringing us about a nonsense router signal issue and hacked IP network? Can you please implement preventative measures to protect vulnerable community members living in the UK. Thx

  • jasondflynn Jason Flynn 💙 (@jasondflynn) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England

@Lindzell_LFC @virginmedia It’s their router. All the calls in the world won’t change the problem. You can buy a new router abs connect it to the Virgin one. Worked for me.

  • Just_Woodbridge Justine (@Just_Woodbridge) reported from Wellingborough, England

@virginmedia I have sent text messages to the number you provided on here, and I last spoke to several customer representatives on 26th January, then asked to speak to a manager, was put on hold for 50 minutes, then you cut me off/the line went dead. So, nothing has been resolved.

  • swimmingsu Su Felce (@swimmingsu) reported from Cardington, England

So frustrated with @virginmedia spend over an hour on hold only to be cut off by their customer service rep #whatcustomerservice #frustrated #zerocustomerservice

  • jasondflynn Jason Flynn 💙 (@jasondflynn) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England

@VisctFishpond @virginmedia I had similar problems to you; got the runaround from Virgin. Lots of research done and the issue is almost certainly the router. You can buy a third-party router and turn the virgin router into a modem. Solved all my problems. Worth a try.

  • TMITV19 Let's get back to normal #KBF (@TMITV19) reported from Bedford, England

@virginmedia The outcome of the call was what I wanted. I mean your pour service telling people to sit online for 4 hours waiting for someone to talk to me rather than call your call centres. If I'd called up straight away I'd not have needed to tweet you. You didn't even tweet back quickly.

Virgin Media Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • timthespark tim paver (@timthespark) reported

@virginmedia Done that scan shows no issues but I know what I am seeing which is rubbish strength within 10 metres of hub. Don’t worry if you can’t provide pods to sort out your problem FOC I will just bide my time until another provider comes along

  • RegionNe16 NE16 REGION (@RegionNe16) reported

Complaint made with @virginmedia in regards to them increasing my phone contract by 11%, I've been with them for 2 months. The response I get is basically "tough, if your're not happy change the package". If I knew this is how you treated PAYING customers I wouldn't have joined.

  • tomminchin_ Tom Minchin (@tomminchin_) reported

@virginmedia Hi, I am unable to receive my PAC code to change suppliers, because “we're already processing the request you made to cancel your services without switching”. How can I then receive my PAC code? Thanks

  • jraminsaab Our Family (@jraminsaab) reported

@_alicebeer Hi Alice, hope u are well. Hoping for advice. As a female I was intimidated, bullied and harassed my Virgin Media engineers 6 months ago, they also damaged my property for the second time. I am not nor have ever been a customer. (Part 1)

  • RegionNe16 NE16 REGION (@RegionNe16) reported

@virginmedia @financialombuds Please can you assist in informing me as to how I open a case against this price hike? my understanding is that I had to be made clearly aware that such a hike was likely to take place and I wasn't. I appreciate any help/response.

  • lvn5e LVN (@lvn5e) reported

@virginmedia No steps were taken. This was in June. Rather lost hope when nothing happened. Neighbours were away which helped. Since mid Jan it's been terrible.

  • spokeperson Spokes Man (@spokeperson) reported

@virginmedia I couldn’t get through. The password wouldn’t work despite me knowing what it is. And the phone system alternately told me there was a problem in my area and then that there were no problems.

  • spokeperson Spokes Man (@spokeperson) reported

@virginmedia There are no issues. In the labyrinthine phone system it alternated between there are and there arent problems seemingly at random. Turning the router off and on again helps but not something you can do in a work meeting. Key issue is speed is often below what we are paying for.

  • ToTravelIsToLi1 To-Travel-Is-To-Live (@ToTravelIsToLi1) reported

@virginmedia Yes. The @o2 customer service is processing the request and says it will take 14days.

  • MC40649014 𝕄𝕁ℂ (@MC40649014) reported

@virginmedia Pray tell, how can I get the box fixed when calling your customer service number sends you a text link which doesn't work and you can't use the virtual chat to book a technician appointment. Shoddy service
