@virginmedia You do realise that the majority of messages sent to you are people complaining that your Wi-Fi is very poor? So perhaps concentrate on that for existing clients rather than pushing new sales? Poor router is the issue. #slowerfaraway

  • beckybaldock77
Becky (@beckybaldock77) reported from Baldock, England

@virginmedia bill was supposed to be reduced to accommodate the lack of Sky sports, bt sports etc etc etc. But no. Great. Thanks. Final nail in the proverbial coffin. Customer loyalty accounts for nothing with you. Will be looking to go elsewhere.

@virginmedia I’m not free from my awful contract with @VodafoneUK until 13/12/21, I’ve changed delivery date to be 11/12/21, but there’s nothing to say my contract will start then, can you help?

  • jasondflynn
Jason Flynn 💙 (@jasondflynn) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England

@VisctFishpond @virginmedia I had similar problems to you; got the runaround from Virgin. Lots of research done and the issue is almost certainly the router. You can buy a third-party router and turn the virgin router into a modem. Solved all my problems. Worth a try.

@virginmedia @Ofcom - can you help with this situation? As you monitor, telecoms companies; Do you think 3-hours worth of phone calls, being cut off 3 times and 80 minutes on WhatsApp (and counting) is good enough service from @virginmedia just to renew a contract ? #virginmedia

@virginmedia That is a joke - as I want to take @virginmedia with me - so are you saying I should be choosing a house based on virgin media’s’ service ??? it’s not my fault you don’t service the area.... why am I being penalised ? You are breaking the contract by not providing the service.

@StephenD1402 @virginmedia It’s the router Steve. The free Virgin router is the problem. Buy a new router from someone like Asus and turn the Virgin one to Modem mode. Should solve most problems.

  • TruthAsylum121
    (Re)Search & Destroy (@TruthAsylum121) reported

THREAD 5 — VODAFONE, BT AND THE TELECOMS NETWORK The French side is only part of the story. In Britain, telecommunications companies have developed programmes providing connectivity through charities and other organisations supporting people experiencing digital exclusion. Vodafone is one of the clearest examples. Its charities.connected programme provides participating charities with SIM cards carrying data, calls and texts. Vodafone has documented the scheme being used by organisations supporting refugees and asylum seekers. Then there is BT. This is different because it isn’t a charitable donation. In March 2024, the Home Office awarded BT a £528,000 contract for data-only SIM cards for asylum seekers. The contract was procured by the Home Office team responsible for asylum support, resettlement and non-detained accommodation. And this is only part of the corporate network. Virgin Media O2 is involved in the National Databank, Community Calling and technology-lending programmes. Three is another major National Databank connectivity partner. The technology companies aren’t operating in isolation. They connect into a much wider system. And that brings us to the National Databank.

@nicolatallant Nicola...with your experience in investigative journalism you should be all over this! I have never heard of such widespread corruption. You know what should be done here. Do the right thing. Ask the questions.... Start with the Shilling report...or how about the fact there is NO PULSE RECORD for #MrP regarding the allegations and subsequent harrassment of #MrP. The enablement and cheek turning is disgusting. Do your job. @rtenews @virginmedia
