Virgin Media Issues Reports Near Bedford, England

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Bedford and nearby locations:

  • TMITV19 Let's get back to normal #KBF (@TMITV19) reported from Bedford, England

@virginmedia The outcome of the call was what I wanted. I mean your pour service telling people to sit online for 4 hours waiting for someone to talk to me rather than call your call centres. If I'd called up straight away I'd not have needed to tweet you. You didn't even tweet back quickly.

  • tony_cop Tony (@tony_cop) reported from Ampthill, England

@LloydGriffith @virginmedia The worst company to deal with by some distance. Can never talk to anyone. Just some automated guff. Where you go round in circles

  • TMITV19 Let's get back to normal #KBF (@TMITV19) reported from Bedford, England

@virginmedia Yes after a phone call. Now I'm actively looking into moving to @skytv after the poor service.

  • Tech_Analyst_UK Rob Anderson #TipToeingOutOfHibernation (@Tech_Analyst_UK) reported from Bedford, England

2nd day running that @virginmedia services have dropped out. Unacceptable with so many working from home. Chatbot just redirects to service status #fail

  • jasondflynn Jason Flynn 💙 (@jasondflynn) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England

@VisctFishpond @virginmedia I had similar problems to you; got the runaround from Virgin. Lots of research done and the issue is almost certainly the router. You can buy a third-party router and turn the virgin router into a modem. Solved all my problems. Worth a try.

  • jasondflynn Jason Flynn 💙 (@jasondflynn) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England

@AdamDea29742908 @virginmedia But buying one between £50 and £200 will probably suit most and if it turns out it doesn’t solve your problems it hasn’t broken the bank. I went for an Asus one at about £120. Netgear is another strong brand. I had poor WiFi for years and it was a massive improvement. 2/2

  • PC_Lawyer Chris Belcher (@PC_Lawyer) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England

@virginmedia broadband down again in SG6 ... makes home working a pretty frustrating experience!

  • Just_Woodbridge Justine (@Just_Woodbridge) reported from Wellingborough, England

@virginmedia Tried this 3 times today. It will not submit my complaint. Very handy.

  • Just_Woodbridge Justine (@Just_Woodbridge) reported from Wellingborough, England

@virginmedia I thought my issue was resolved yesterday, but today I’ve had an email saying something different. I text the number again, at 11.28am, the bot replied but nothing since then?!

  • trushar108 Trushār Patel (@trushar108) reported from Wellingborough, England

@Virgin @virginmedia @richardbranson Dear Virgin Media, unlawful pretending fraudulent callers keep ringing us about a nonsense router signal issue and hacked IP network? Can you please implement preventative measures to protect vulnerable community members living in the UK. Thx

  • swimmingsu Su Felce (@swimmingsu) reported from Cardington, England

@virginmedia 1/2 been on the phone for over an hour on hold waiting for customer service - finally get through and the customer service rep cuts me off before I even say what I want...

  • jasondflynn Jason Flynn 💙 (@jasondflynn) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England

@Lindzell_LFC @virginmedia It’s their router. All the calls in the world won’t change the problem. You can buy a new router abs connect it to the Virgin one. Worked for me.

  • Tranquil_Maria Maria-Luisa Prezio (@Tranquil_Maria) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England

@virginmedia The absolute worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Changing a minor detail impossible!!!

  • swimmingsu Su Felce (@swimmingsu) reported from Cardington, England

So frustrated with @virginmedia spend over an hour on hold only to be cut off by their customer service rep #whatcustomerservice #frustrated #zerocustomerservice

  • TMITV19 Let's get back to normal #KBF (@TMITV19) reported from Bedford, England

    @virginmedia *poor

  • jasondflynn Jason Flynn 💙 (@jasondflynn) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England

@virginmedia @mouthwaite Hi John; just jumping in on this. You really need to start advising customers properlyit doesn’t matter how many technicians visit it won’t solve the problem of the poor standard router and your default settings.

  • Gordonsalive200 Stuart Paterson (@Gordonsalive200) reported from Bedford, England

Are there any other UK @skytv customers having trouble with Sky Q boxes over a #virginmedia broadband connection?

  • jasondflynn Jason Flynn 💙 (@jasondflynn) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England

@StMirrenDaft @virginmedia @mat_fraser One of the key issues is their router. It’s rubbish and has programming which means main signal isn’t direct for WiFi. I had this problem; buy another router and turn Virgin one into modem. It solved my problem.

  • jasondflynn Jason Flynn 💙 (@jasondflynn) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England

@virginmedia You do realise that the majority of messages sent to you are people complaining that your Wi-Fi is very poor? So perhaps concentrate on that for existing clients rather than pushing new sales? Poor router is the issue. #slowerfaraway

  • Just_Woodbridge Justine (@Just_Woodbridge) reported from Wellingborough, England

@virginmedia I have sent text messages to the number you provided on here, and I last spoke to several customer representatives on 26th January, then asked to speak to a manager, was put on hold for 50 minutes, then you cut me off/the line went dead. So, nothing has been resolved.

Virgin Media Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • HoganEdgerGolf Edger Hogan (@HoganEdgerGolf) reported

@RobTrav @SkyHelpTeam @virginmedia No contract mate, I can cancel anytime with 14 days notice, That's the first thing I checked when they put me through to cancellations, unless they lied about that aswell.

  • Dallas_Payday_ Dallas 🇵🇱 (@Dallas_Payday_) reported

@ThatBloodyRisk If you think that’s bad Virgin Media had a cut thingy which lasted like 3 weeks 💀

  • RPCook130 Ron Cook (@RPCook130) reported

@virginmedia I have checked and there’s no apparent solution, the problem is with the new V5 and it’s protocols. Why did you promote a system that is not compatible with a major audio company like Bose. It is a problem of Virgins making and I await a solution from you.

  • BranLCFC28 Brandon Fletcher (@BranLCFC28) reported

@virginmedia Still not working despite getting a text from you to say it’s all fixed! You love to take the money off people but don’t want to provide the service!! Bunch of fraud artists

  • KarenJAshley Karen Ashley (@KarenJAshley) reported

@virginmedia Still no internet. It's been 2 days now and your link is still not working 😡

  • zingiber2000 Giant Cactuar (@zingiber2000) reported

@virginmedia Yes, it says there’s no known issue but several people in my street have the same problem.

  • Evergreenbooce evergreen (@Evergreenbooce) reported

@virginmedia Mobile connection, I have a VM sim but I tag 02 so they can see how bad the service as gone since you both merged.

  • philipmeynell62 Philip Meynell (@philipmeynell62) reported

Appalling service from @virginmedia who have my account mixed up with someone else’s and are clearly breaching GDPR as I have access to someone else’s details . A total of 4.5 hrs on the phone over 3 weeks failed to sort the issue. @VirginMediaNews not sure who can help now.

  • jenzyknight Jenny Knight (@jenzyknight) reported

@virginmedia No they didn’t confirm at all. They said it might be rectified when the final bill is generated. But as I’ve raised a complaint someone will be in contact, but the previous complaints haven’t been resolved around the same issue

  • HoganEdgerGolf Edger Hogan (@HoganEdgerGolf) reported

@JaySeeDeCaux @SkyHelpTeam @virginmedia I pay sky over £200 a month for a premium service, not to be lied too, I won't stand for it and if virgin do it I will give them a chance to sort it like I gave sky the chance and they failed on basic customer service.
