Justine (@Just_Woodbridge) reported from Wellingborough, England@virginmedia Yes I’ve done the factory reset and still having issues. Sky boxes need to be reconnected to wifi every day and I’ve checked it all out with Sky and it’s not a Sky problem. It’s a Virgin wifi issue.

Virgin Media Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Kevin Muldoon (@KevinMuldoon) reported@virginmedia has to be the worst ISP in the UK. Currently raising a CISAS complaint against them due to how they're terrorirising my elderly mother. May have to take this to small claims too as it's impossible to speak to any UK staff who can resolve anything.
-
Luke O' Connor (@LOCthedreamer2) reportedIt's a scandal that these media companies spend your money in order to try and influence how you think. Virgin Media received 3 million euro worth of state grants from Coimisiún na Meain last year. They would never think of doing a documentary on how immigration has negatively impacted the economy or society, which is why it is so galling to see them propagandise the immigration scam in Ireland. #HowIrelandWorks
-
Keeley 🌻 (@Keeleyeveline_) reportedIs anyone elses @virginmedia broadband down? #virginmedia
-
dawnieC (@CorkinDawn) reported@virginmedia @virginmedia how long before you respond please. If i need a new tv box then it needs to be ordered asap or are you going to refund me for the days i am paying for a tv service i cant use. Thanks
-
Andy Ward (@Trickyred59) reported@virginmedia @TheAFC0522 Just had my monthly bill. £143. I'm assuming that next month the reduced charge will reflect this "functionality issue".
-
Richard Aldous 🍊 (@RJAldous1) reportedHey @virginmedia how long does it take to sort out a connection issue as my broadband and tv went down about 14:00 and still just getting a flashing red light on my router (yes I reported it) these days it’s hard to do anything without internet access! 😡
-
Lee (@LeeDeacy90) reported@virginmedia who in their right mind decided that a software update was a good idea on the weekend the Premier League launches. Literally had no issue with my Sky or Sky+ yet you choose to do a update on the weekend the football launches. Absolutely shambolic decision making.
-
Kaiser Soothsays (@_SonOfTheDesert) reported@virginmedia No. Because it’ll end up as a hard reset and we’ll lose all our recorded stuff. When are you going to bring out a box that saves content to the cloud? That way, there’d be no issue.
-
Stephen Maddock (@stephenm68) reportedIn the meantime the @virginmedia ‘supervisor’ whom I waited 90 mins to talk to on Tues night, & who promised to escalate our outage to engineering so I could have SOME INFORMATION, has of course not been in touch Just like the other supervisor who made the same promise last week
-
Gary Adams (@GazzaAdams) reported@virginmedia I need this escalated as a formal complaint regarding fault **F012421201**, because the information Virgin Media is providing has now become demonstrably contradictory. At **08:01 today, 20 August**, Virgin Media told me: “Our engineer is on site and they're working to fix the problem.” The estimated repair time given was **18:00 today**. At **15:27 today**, after I have had intermittent service for most of the day and had to hotspot from my phone to be able to work, Virgin Media has now told me: “We have identified the problem and an engineer is on their way.” The estimated repair time has also been moved to **14:10 tomorrow, 21 August**. These statements cannot both accurately describe the progress of the same fault. An engineer who was already **on site and working on the problem at 08:01** cannot subsequently be **“on their way” at 15:27** without some explanation. I fully understand that a complex network fault may take longer to repair than initially anticipated, and that estimated restoration times can change. That is not my complaint. My complaint is that Virgin Media is repeatedly providing contradictory factual information about the status of the repair, while I remain without the service I am paying for. I consequently have no confidence in the estimated restoration times being provided. Please therefore: 1. **Log this as a formal complaint and provide me with the complaint reference.** 2. Confirm the actual current status of fault **F012421201**, rather than repeating the automated status information. 3. Explain how an engineer could be reported as on site and working at 08:01 but “on their way” at 15:27. 4. Confirm when the outage affecting my service officially began and that the full period of loss of service has been recorded against my account. 5. Confirm what automatic compensation I will be entitled to for the complete loss of service, where applicable. I have retained screenshots of the outage updates and their timestamps. Please respond to the specific points above rather than sending me another automated repair estimate.
