Brian Cape (@BrianMCape) reported from Birmingham, England
@virginmedia No. Already done it about 7 times without any luck. I refuse to waste more hours in queues, only to rehash my issues to another anonymous operator. I've been assured that this is in the hands of a named handler, who didn't call me back as promised and is ignoring my emails. Fail
-
Brian Cape (@BrianMCape) reported from Birmingham, England
@virginmedia And this is why, I'll be reporting you to trading standards for fraudulent misselling/misrepresentation and then abdicating ALL responsibility/accountability to resolve. There's no security/DPA issues in you giving me a direct dial number via DM. You just don't want to resolve.
-
Stephen Bennett (@Stephen12857059) reported from Birmingham, England
@virginmedia Nobody has called me and the WhatsApp chat is very frustrating and not dealing with the issue. This is very simple, I was sent contract paperwork with an agreed monthly fee of £86.75. Why have I paid two months of excessively higher payments. I should have left VM
-
Bonna (@Phil_Bonna) reported from Birmingham, England
@Angela_Griffin @virginmedia I have the fibre optic broadband for £23.95 month and the customer service is great
-
Antony Howlett (@AntonyHowlett) reported from Birmingham, England
@ChristineAllado @virginmedia I keep having this problem every week and nothing ever gets done and all you get back is we can't find a fault
-
Martin Price (@mrmjprice) reported from Birmingham, England
@virginmedia I have been but they couldn’t get a good-enough price and directed me to the self-service page but I get “customer-exclusion” at the end of the URL which tells me to use chat.

Stephen Cobb, #FBPE 🇺🇦 (@zcobb) reported from Coventry, England
Me: Can you tell your supervisor that this email looks a lot like a phishing email? Support Person @virginmedia: I know, a lot of people have said that.
-
Brian Cape (@BrianMCape) reported from Birmingham, England
@virginmedia Alternatively, if you feel the urge to actually be helpful, you can search my name and location (it's an uncommon name) and ask a complaints manager to contact me. No security issues or breaches, since the notes I've been assured are on file, will be there to check.

Evan Davis (@EvanD) reported from Birmingham, England
@virginmedia Yes I’ve done that. My connection drops out for a minute or so every 30-60 mins. Hard to replicate. My account has notes regarding the reason why the credit was given last time. Ideally I don’t want to wait so long for the same issue to be fixed.
-
Stephen Bennett (@Stephen12857059) reported from Birmingham, England
@virginmedia I called 150 today to speak to a Supervisor regarding my bill. I was told I would receive a call within the hour. NOTHING. I agreed a contract 18/8/22 and the last two payments have been £65 & £75 more than agreed. This is shocking customer care and service.

@virginmedia whats happening with the service in B29 area. Been off and on past 24 hours.

Stephen Cobb, #FBPE 🇺🇦 (@zcobb) reported from Coventry, England
I just spent about 20 minutes trying to find out why I'm getting email from @virginmedia about a SIM that I didn't order. As far as I can tell, the email is legit and Virgin is sending me, and a lot of other people, a replacement SIM "to improve service." Did I miss a memo?
-
Brian Cape (@BrianMCape) reported from Birmingham, England
@virginmedia Another fail. Well done 👏🏻
-
Brian Cape (@BrianMCape) reported from Birmingham, England
@virginmedia Another fail. I've reached out in exasperation since my chase-ups of 14th, 19th and today have been ignored. As have my 5 messages to your local rep who promised to be on hand. If you can't be bothered to help me, I'll just escalate via another route @richardbranson

Robin Johnson (@robintjohnson8) reported from Coventry, England
@virginmedia Thanks. While I’m on the subject - why does it ALWAYS take multiple attempts to sort anything out with VM? Your WhatsApp and online support workers usually sign off with ‘rest assured you will not have to contact us again’. But this is rarely true?
-
Evan Davis (@EvanD) reported from Birmingham, England
@virginmedia I’ve reordered twice already. The packaging never arrives
-
👻🎃Tara but a spookier version🎃👻🏳️🌈🇮🇸🇮🇪 (@TheBluestStar) reported from Coventry, England
@virginmedia My parents TV and broadband have been down all day. My mum has been calling your customer service line all day and no-one is answering.
-
Evan Davis (@EvanD) reported from Solihull, England
@virginmedia 2/ Despite that issue being due to a junction connection in the cabinet in the street, the op seems to refuse to look at that and just wants to reboot my router. Also claims it is due to my use of Modem Mode. Is there anyone in the UK I can contact regarding this?
-
Evan Davis (@EvanD) reported from Solihull, England
@virginmedia Just called your offshore call centre regarding my internet connection. I’m having the same issues as I had when I got a £154 credit from you. /1
Virgin Media Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Steve Ives (@SteveDPIves) reported
@virginmedia No - I’ve already discussed it. Your sales person swore blind you’d deal with terminating my Sky contract and call me with any early termination charges. He lied. Only found out when Sky bill arrived. To late to cancel my Virgin switch now.
-
Dr Jessica Guth (@Jess_Guth) reported
@Dimpledchad_ @virginmedia Switched from sky yesterday. Sky was really slow sometimes but didn’t drop out like this. Think we might have to rethink that move!
-
Bea Smith 🇬🇩 (@Miss_Cherry_B_) reported
@DeviousPL @AntonisAnthony @virginmedia Ah yes, they always have excuses! If they put half as much effort into providing service, as they do excuses, they wouldn’t be the atrocious network they are
-
Louis Kapur (@LouisKapur) reported
@virginmedia @seanfromtheband Tv and WiFi has gone down , can you give me any help ?
-
Shannon ✨ (@ShannonWoods7) reported
@virginmedia Reboots don’t help and it happens with both wired and wireless connections. Can someone please get in touch with me directly? This is getting a bit ridiculous now, that’s the third time in a week and a half the internet has been offline during working hours.
-
𝕵 𝕰𝖑𝖑𝖊 (@KeepItJElle) reported
@virginmedia Yeah when I first checked it said no issues & now it has identified an issue in the area. Any idea on how long roughly till it’s back up?
-
Clive Richardson (@CliveR39) reported
@virginmedia No, I have been told online and by text that there is a queue of 'at least 45 minutes'. This is NOT acceptable service. Perhaps the new partnership with @O2 might bring an improvement. I just want to ask about cancelling an upgrade.
-
PL84 (@DeviousPL) reported
@Miss_Cherry_B_ @AntonisAnthony @virginmedia They constantly bat customer service to offshore workers with no responsibility or concern - if they can’t solve it, they’ll just hang up... then VM have the cheek to brag about lightning fast internet but with decades old infrastructure and cheap, nasty home hardware...
-
Jackie (@HeresJDW) reported
@saracen20 @virginmedia I have the same situation here and my neighbours also have exactly the same issues yet no ones listening to me! #notgoodenoughVirgin
-
Clare James (@Dimpledchad_) reported
@Jess_Guth @virginmedia This has been happening to us too over the last few days. I have had issues every two months or so over the last year. Gave online teaching and added element of fear of losing connectivity!
