Tom Bowran (@tombowran) reported from Willingham, England
ironic that the hold music on @virginmedia ‘s “help line” contains the lyrics “please don’t let me down”. The very reason i’m calling for the upteenth time. 100 hours since i was promised a manager calling back in 48hrs, and 48hrs since they said it would only be another 24 hours
-
Martin Jones (@MHartleyJones) reported from Cambridgeshire, England
@virginmedia claim on my ever-increasing monthly bill: “Looks like you’ve made some changes”. All I did was complain that their TV box wasn’t working. Still haven’t received the new one either. Customer service? Forget it.

@virginmedia Fix time was by 15:00. Yea and now it’s 15:00 I have service. Convenient. This happens all to often. 5 plus hours of no service. Special after speaking with the customer service team about the so called service improvements. Where are these so called service improvements???

@virginmedia Yeah it's not WiFi because it's affecting my pc which is connected via an Ethernet cable to the back of the hub. Just now it went down and came back up but there was no change to the lights on the hub.

Claire Dyer ⚯͛ ⁷ (@cdyer98) reported from Great Shelford, England
@virginmedia internet down in cb22 . system checker says nothing is wrong and fiancé is fast asleep (and knows all the passwords) so can’t get through to report the issue- usual 12.30 drop (5mins ish) happened and then it cut off completely at 4.20am
-
Nigel Leaney (@nleaney) reported from Willingham, England
@virginmedia Yes. Service is restored at the moment but understand it’s an ongoing issue. Usually a short outage (9 minutes) but this was 25mins this time.
-
Craig (@Jagercraig) reported from Saint Neots, England
@virginmedia I’m not free from my awful contract with @VodafoneUK until 13/12/21, I’ve changed delivery date to be 11/12/21, but there’s nothing to say my contract will start then, can you help?
-
Deirdre Creevey-Murphy (@scaryscorpio) reported from Cambridgeshire, England
@virginmedia do you know if there if there are connection problems in the Cambridge area? We've been offline for about 45mins now. Done everything required, and nothing.
-
Mick Brown (@Lord_Drainlid) reported from Cambridgeshire, England
@steveeejg It looks like to get a basic fibre service it might be around £25 and for higher speed from about £40 monthly. One test is will they charge to plug a home phone into a router and allow a landline no to be transferred? Virgin Media charges, putting the monthly rate up to about £55
-
Dan Jackson (@danj2k) reported from Cambridgeshire, England
Hey @virginmedia why is my Internet up and down like a yoyo this morning? Are your systems breaking down under the load of people completing the census or something?
-
Nigel Leaney (@nleaney) reported from Willingham, England
@virginmedia Got through within 2-3 minutes on hold. sepal did a great job diagnosing the problem and reset my password. Thanks for your help

@emmalouwillcox @virginmedia 😩 I’ve also been a victim in the past and their customer service is awful. Good luck!
-
Martin Jones (@MHartleyJones) reported from Cambridgeshire, England
For a while now, I’ve been dissatisfied with the performance of my elderly rented @virginmedia TIVO TV box. Tonight it ceased to function, so I phoned for a fix. I didn’t get a fix. Instead the operator tried to sell me a new one at extra cost. Not a happy bunny!
-
cj hubbard (@ir_427) reported from Cambridgeshire, England
@virginmedia We're on M100 fibre. Speed isn't the issue. The issue is that whole thing stops working for no clear reason; no warning lights, no issues on the service check website. It takes out all the devices at once. And it's been getting worse since the bill increase was announced.
-
Helen-Jason-Mille (@jasonhelenmille) reported from Chatteris, England
@virginmedia I told them repeatedly that I did not believe that a booster would work. Even when I would be required to pay for one. The speed at the hub as you can see in WiFi is poor so you tell me.
-
Nigel Leaney (@nleaney) reported from Willingham, England
@virginmedia broadband service outage in CB24 since 10.00am. Service status not showing any issues but equipment check is failing

The True Plasmarion MC (@ThePlasmarion) reported
@virginmedia, why is your broadband in the northwest constantly flickering on and off? I know it ain't an issue on my end, cos I've done every diagnostics test, and nothing on my end is at fault, so what's up? I have time sensitive stuff I need to get done. So fix the issue.

No @virginmedia broadband for the past 5 days. Followed their usual step by step advice a million time. Nothing has worked. No way of getting through their customer service. Their website has booked me a technician for next Friday. 🤬
-
Sir Bee (@beezlebum) reported from Ballycastle, Northern Ireland
@virginmedia I've wasted hours of my life being hoodwinked by your 'customer service'. So I'm just going to keep pestering on twitter. It might be a grim warning so others don't have to go through it. I want someone to contact me and to resolve this issue. It's not that difficult.
-
Lee Randall (@randallwrites) reported
@virginmedia There is obviously an issue.
-
Artificial Original (@RTFishalOrijnal) reported
@virginmedia @TheShannimal_ “Solves a lot of issues”. Read the previous tweet. Four people in the same street with the same problem. Surely that’s got to be an external fault? That reply is an insult tbh. Checking connections, resetting router is something anyone would do before asking for help!
