Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Stafford and nearby locations:
-
Kate (@khnatter) reported from Newport, England
@virginmedia Trouble is as I explained, it’s rented accommodation and the rental company have the login and password info and are closed all weekend. Making studying impossible 😠
-
Mike Hillman (@photo_bloke) reported from Stafford, England
@virginmedia (3/3) I trust that when I call to cancel and switch, the call will be straightforward with no fuss and will be less than 2 minutes with no drawn out attempts to get me to stay
-
SketchXZ (@SketchXZ) reported from Burntwood, England
Sorry stream was cut short @virginmedia decided it was gna go down 🖕 #twitch #internetproblems
-
Paul Moore (@Paul_Reviews) reported from Burntwood, England
@kinoshitajona @ScottMcGready @SCwithGin @virginmedia @NCSC @troyhunt @PWTooStrong Agreed, neither are secure and should never be used... however it's certainly possible to make an unbreakable MD5 password.
-
Denise Powell (@PPowellfamily) reported from Barlaston, England
@virginmedia 2 houses in the same street no Internet or broadband. Your call centre claims the fault to be in my home. #3rd class service
-
Gemma Brayne (@Gemgwar) reported from Stafford, England
@virginmedia Yes. They have said we will have to wait until WEDNESDAY, so we were lied to again. Shocking service!
-
Mike Hillman (@photo_bloke) reported from Stafford, England
@virginmedia (3/3) I'm the customer, and I would like to think you would accommodate my wishes and show me some respect as one of the people who ultimately pay for your profits. I will not, however, be a customer for much longer
-
Paul Moore (@Paul_Reviews) reported from Burntwood, England
@leicscyberaware @SCwithGin @virginmedia @NCSC @troyhunt @ScottMcGready @PWTooStrong The irony here is 3 random words can be broken in as little as 40 seconds, maximum 50 minutes. A 10 character random password, by comparison, would take 7 weeks with the same hardware.
-
John Sanders (@ObsessiveJohn) reported from Shifnal, England
@virginmedia Unreliable & intermittent Broadband, no Sky Atlantic but most importantly very poor customer service as justified by this thread - I’d rather rather speak to a person real time
-
Stuart Hurcombe (@5tu1987) reported from Armitage with Handsacre, England
@Gemgwar @virginmedia Basically.. nobody knows what the process is! Told we had to wait in ALL DAY yesterday for nobody to come (when we apparently now it’s only a package being delivered) STILL! nobody is clear if it’s a package being delivered or an engineer. Shocking service for what we are paying!
-
Paul Moore (@Paul_Reviews) reported from Burntwood, England
@ScottMcGready @kinoshitajona @SCwithGin @virginmedia @NCSC @troyhunt @PWTooStrong Scott, we use the term "unbreakable" in the trade to imply the credentials cannot be broken in a timeframe which realistically presents a risk to the user... it's not an OED term. Sure, if we're talking to an end-user, you either use a different term or explain the meaning
-
Serenium (@serenium) reported from Stafford, England
@williamtm @virginmedia So virgin media don’t support it then. that is not “nothing supports it” Yell at virgin. BT is fine, although they do need to differentiate their treatment of ipv4 vs ipv6 icmp in their default firewall rules
-
John Sanders (@ObsessiveJohn) reported from Wheaton Aston, England
@Appolotech @virginmedia I’ve had really intermittent quality of service with the Virgin BB. Switching to SKY end of month.
-
j (@jcanlas159) reported from Stafford, England
@virginmedia No difference. We do have an engineer booked in but just trying to understand the issue. The router page shows the Broadband reading (Access Denied) errors
-
Paul Moore (@Paul_Reviews) reported from Burntwood, England
@leicscyberaware @SCwithGin @virginmedia @NCSC @troyhunt @ScottMcGready @PWTooStrong You're right, it's not good enough... but it's not insecure either. I debunked 3 random words years ago. Now *that* is poor advice.
-
Mike Hillman (@photo_bloke) reported from Stafford, England
@virginmedia If you really wanted me to stay and you valued me as a customer you would have respected my original request when i was first called and we wouldn't be here now Learn the lessons from this - do what customers ask show them some respect and stop bothering them with unwanted calls
-
Teds (@Tedtalks13) reported from Brownhills, England

-
Gemma Brayne (@Gemgwar) reported from Armitage with Handsacre, England
@virginmedia really not impressed with your service. No idea what is going on and when I’m actually getting my broadband. Your team just keep lying to me and it’s frustrating!!
-
Stuart Hurcombe (@5tu1987) reported from Armitage with Handsacre, England
@virginmedia You mean the number we have used that have fed us countless information that is untrue/impossible to achieve to try and ‘keep us happy’. Also love the identical response to the previous tweet.. Nice template! Hopefully speak to someone in the week who maybe WANTS to help us
-
Mike Hillman (@photo_bloke) reported from Stafford, England
And now @AmazonUK have managed to join @virginmedia on the list of companies who've managed to p**s me off today with poor service They all seem to forget who pays their bills....

-
The Fox (@TheFox89688362) reported
@virginmedia I am leaving Virgin & need to talk to someone about when to cancel direct debit. Should I just cancel direct debit now and assume that someone in Sunderland has read my letter confirming I am leaving Virgin?
-
Had I (@HadI48323270) reported
Hi @virginmedia a member of your customer service offered me special price to keep me as a loyal customer higher than the March price increase. Why are existing customers being charged more than new customers - I will be charged £10 a month more than a new customer
-
Mark (@LufcMad84) reported
@virginmedia See thread & tweets - been waiting since 8th December for my complaint be dealt with. Each time I ring up I’m told only manager can deal with complaint & ring me back. Not once have they - you then sent a fake / false email saying my complaint has been dealt with. Illegal @Ofcom
-
Lady Dy (@DyannRowe) reported
@virginmedia @TheFox89688362 It is infuriating to wait for ages on the phone constantly being told by the remote voice to refer to the website for help when your first approach was the website! The website is not as helpful as your staff are!
-
Janice Edwards (@Janice0987654) reported
@IM_org Do not get virgin media ever because the signal is terrible if more than one gadget is on it and only reaches the room its in! they have zero customer service. we have tried for 3 weeks to cancel but there is no way of doing it as no customer services are there.#badfordisabled
-
Marianne 🌸💜 (@AngelaH80467217) reported
@virginmedia How about you call me! I simply do not have the time to hang on the phone.
-
Uncle CC (@CCGOOOO) reported
@virginmedia I was never informed about the cancellation before. They found out that the building was not serviceable after 3 weeks of the contract. However, it was misrepresented because it was clearly ok when I first purchase. You could have told us that weeks ago…
-
CHRISTY (@Christy_HI) reported
@virginmedia They were also no help.
-
Jayne Sarhangian (@zhenyaax) reported
Hiiii @virginmedia can I get a call back? I’ve spent an hour trying to sort my issue and calls keep getting dropped. Ready to just cancel the account at this point
