  • Paul_Reviews
Paul Moore (@Paul_Reviews) reported from Burntwood, England

@ScottMcGready @SCwithGin @virginmedia @NCSC @troyhunt @PWTooStrong Because "secure" requires a context which neither the OP nor yourself have given. 99% of my passwords are 12 chars, A-Z, a-z, 0-9. They're not being broken in my lifetime... so to claim 10 is sufficient to justify leaving is daft.

  • small1808
nathan (@small1808) reported from Stafford, England

@virginmedia an hour on hold and still no further forward 😭😭😭😭😭 this is why i dont ring with problems with my service from you

  • SpykDaBarstud
Si Hodgkiss-Rogers (@SpykDaBarstud) reported from Rugeley, England

@ryanricardo76 @virginmedia Having problems on and off with mine again. It works for three months... problems for six, etc. Can’t even steam a movie on one device atm. Call for support. Same thing every time. Always say there’s no issue. Must be our devices. Think, at £50 a month... time to change.

  • photo_bloke
Mike Hillman (@photo_bloke) reported from Stafford, England

@virginmedia (3/3) I'm the customer, and I would like to think you would accommodate my wishes and show me some respect as one of the people who ultimately pay for your profits. I will not, however, be a customer for much longer

  • booksandcomics
StaffordBooks&Comics (@booksandcomics) reported from Stafford, England

Right in the middle of hosting a virtual pub quiz with friends from around the world and our WiFi with @virginmedia cuts out. It’s been fine all the way through lock down, unsure why these past few days it has been awful...#virginmediadown

  • byellielouise
El 👸🏻 (@byellielouise) reported from Colwich, England

@FowlerLegend @virginmedia I’m just going round in circles. Hours of stress with it tonight. If I ever manage to get it cancelled I’ll never going near the company again

  • stjohn121
StJohn (@stjohn121) reported from Stafford, England

@virginmedia 2/2 to her system that has Gvt system level security for 5Ghz will then revert back to one name for both and also revert to Ch108 making connection to 5Ghz unavailable. My router was refreshed by service, monitoring 24hrs, waiting on Hub5. Others are exp same fault..

  • EmzeeJaye
Emily-jaye collins. (@EmzeeJaye) reported from Stafford, England

Virgin media really need to pull their finger out. Don't boast a service that you simply cannot provide. What a bloody joke. #virginmedia #failmedia

  • photo_bloke
Mike Hillman (@photo_bloke) reported from Stafford, England

@virginmedia (3/3) I trust that when I call to cancel and switch, the call will be straightforward with no fuss and will be less than 2 minutes with no drawn out attempts to get me to stay

  • S_Whitchurch
Sharon Whitchurch 🇺🇦 (@S_Whitchurch) reported from Burntwood, England

First World problems. Internet dropping. Or should I say, @virginmedia broadband. Its awful, drops completely three / four times a week. Sometimes several times a day for a few seconds. Can't wait until I can give notice!

  • Paul_Reviews
Paul Moore (@Paul_Reviews) reported from Burntwood, England

@kinoshitajona @ScottMcGready @SCwithGin @virginmedia @NCSC @troyhunt @PWTooStrong Agreed, neither are secure and should never be used... however it's certainly possible to make an unbreakable MD5 password.

  • Gemgwar
Gemma Brayne (@Gemgwar) reported from Armitage with Handsacre, England

@virginmedia really not impressed with your service. No idea what is going on and when I’m actually getting my broadband. Your team just keep lying to me and it’s frustrating!!

  • Paul_Reviews
Paul Moore (@Paul_Reviews) reported from Burntwood, England

@SCwithGin @virginmedia @NCSC @troyhunt @ScottMcGready @PWTooStrong This isn't as bad as some would make out. 10 isn't ideal, but it's not insecure either. That's not to say you can't choose an insecure 10 character password however...

  • gingerandnuts
Ginger and Nuts (@gingerandnuts) reported from Brownhills, England

Well @virginmedia you have let so many people down with no apology or update. Disgraceful.

  • MrBlitzed
Glenn Arnold (@MrBlitzed) reported from Rugeley, England

@virginmedia So now I can't get into my account YET AGAIN to pay my bill. I changed my password but now I'm told I only have a secondary account and can't access billing. I went through all this crap last year and had a nightmare with your woeful call centre. Had enough now.

  • beckywvr_
Becky Weaver (@beckywvr_) reported from Albrighton, England

@virginmedia Which would be fine, but it’s now been down for a further 40 minutes again and been lagging all morning. So it’s obviously far from fixed.

  • mrsclholdcroft
Claire Holdcroft (@mrsclholdcroft) reported from Stafford, England

Trying to speak to @virginmedia is so hard, trying to cancel my contract for nearly 2 months now. Does anyone ever get out?

  • timothyray
Tim Ray (@timothyray) reported from Tean, England

@Cassetteboy @virginmedia Imagine being that crap a company that you don't realise the damage you do to @virginmedia's reputation when you piss off someone with 77k Twitter followers.

  • EmzeeJaye
Emily-jaye collins. (@EmzeeJaye) reported from Stafford, England

@virginmedia considering my number isn't on the directory and I've never given it out to anyone, it's funny how I am getting so many scam and cold calls.

@virginmedia our service is down and if you look on the service down sites they are all saying the service is down. Then we speak to virgin media and they can’t see any problems. 🤯 and to give em 20 hours to look into it .. ridiculous

  • Laitty

@VirginMedia 2/2 I have done everything available to me as a customer, yet these emails continue to arrive. At what point does the provider step in and improve the filtering? Can somebody please investigate why these messages keep getting through?
