Stuart Hurcombe (@5tu1987) reported from Armitage with Handsacre, England

@virginmedia You mean the number we have used that have fed us countless information that is untrue/impossible to achieve to try and ‘keep us happy’. Also love the identical response to the previous tweet.. Nice template! Hopefully speak to someone in the week who maybe WANTS to help us

@virginmedia 2/2 to her system that has Gvt system level security for 5Ghz will then revert back to one name for both and also revert to Ch108 making connection to 5Ghz unavailable. My router was refreshed by service, monitoring 24hrs, waiting on Hub5. Others are exp same fault..

  • Paul_Reviews
Paul Moore (@Paul_Reviews) reported from Burntwood, England

@ScottMcGready @SCwithGin @virginmedia @NCSC @troyhunt @PWTooStrong I didn't say it was perfectly fine... but it's certainly possible to pick a secure 10 character PW within those constraints. I was a VM customer for 2 decades... I can't recall ever losing sleep over this.

El 👸🏻 (@byellielouise) reported from Colwich, England

@virginmedia I have also tried the text service, and have been waiting an hour and a half for someone to answer. I have tried the options it gives in the meantime which redirect to the website which still doesn’t answer my query

  • _jwynny
James (@_jwynny) reported from Newport, England

  • saneorinsane
Jason Timmins (@saneorinsane) reported from Brownhills, England

@virginmedia Thanks but that never works. ~15 years ago someone in our little cul-de-sac objected to VM digging the road so it's not here. How do I get VM to try again?

  • EmzeeJaye
Emily-jaye collins. (@EmzeeJaye) reported from Stafford, England

  • beckieslittleb1
beckiemurphy (@beckieslittleb1) reported from Rugeley, England

    @virginmedia Yes it doesn’t help

  • SpykDaBarstud
Si Hodgkiss-Rogers (@SpykDaBarstud) reported from Rugeley, England

@ryanricardo76 @virginmedia Having problems on and off with mine again. It works for three months... problems for six, etc. Can’t even steam a movie on one device atm. Call for support. Same thing every time. Always say there’s no issue. Must be our devices. Think, at £50 a month... time to change.

  • Paul_Reviews
Paul Moore (@Paul_Reviews) reported from Burntwood, England

@ScottMcGready @kinoshitajona @SCwithGin @virginmedia @NCSC @troyhunt @PWTooStrong Scott, we use the term "unbreakable" in the trade to imply the credentials cannot be broken in a timeframe which realistically presents a risk to the user... it's not an OED term. Sure, if we're talking to an end-user, you either use a different term or explain the meaning

  • MarcosJimClowes
Marcos Clowes FCILT (@MarcosJimClowes) reported from Stafford, England

@virginmedia They refused to tell me as they said it contravened GDPR rules, I asked if they could tell me the minimum I needed to pay so as not to involve GDPR. They weren’t able to help.

  • photo_bloke
Mike Hillman (@photo_bloke) reported from Stafford, England

@virginmedia (3/3) I trust that when I call to cancel and switch, the call will be straightforward with no fuss and will be less than 2 minutes with no drawn out attempts to get me to stay

  • serenium
Serenium (@serenium) reported from Stafford, England

@williamtm @virginmedia 1&1, bt, EE, sky, zen and talk talk all support v6 afaik. The ONLY major (by number of subscribers) ISP that doesn’t is virgin. The smallest of the big 4 is talk talk and numbers 5-10 of the top 10 added together are still half the size of talk talk.

  • Paul_Reviews
Paul Moore (@Paul_Reviews) reported from Burntwood, England

@ScottMcGready @SCwithGin @virginmedia @NCSC @troyhunt @PWTooStrong Because "secure" requires a context which neither the OP nor yourself have given. 99% of my passwords are 12 chars, A-Z, a-z, 0-9. They're not being broken in my lifetime... so to claim 10 is sufficient to justify leaving is daft.

  • Paul_Reviews
Paul Moore (@Paul_Reviews) reported from Burntwood, England

@leicscyberaware @SCwithGin @virginmedia @NCSC @troyhunt @ScottMcGready @PWTooStrong The irony here is 3 random words can be broken in as little as 40 seconds, maximum 50 minutes. A 10 character random password, by comparison, would take 7 weeks with the same hardware.

  • Paul_Reviews
Paul Moore (@Paul_Reviews) reported from Burntwood, England

@kinoshitajona @ScottMcGready @SCwithGin @virginmedia @NCSC @troyhunt @PWTooStrong Agreed, neither are secure and should never be used... however it's certainly possible to make an unbreakable MD5 password.

@virginmedia once again your online service status tells me there are no known issues in our area. I call to report I still have the intermittent fault I have had for over a week and told there is a fault in the area which may not be fixed until 12th March.

  • ianmorris04

@JimBrowning11 @virginmedia @KolkataPolice They are also targeting sky customers, was seeing my mum phone went internet, today my house phone, same ****. Be careful people.

@virginmedia what’s wrong with your virgin media tv? Did an ‘update’ and now every time I turn on the tv it loads into TiVo and I have to go back to Virgin again. And now your red button for Sky sports doesn’t work. Tell me how to fix these issues, they’re maddening.

  • afcwomblelong
    Chris Long (@afcwomblelong) reported

@virginmedia Ok so no sky sports+ available to watch.. just spent over a hour and 20 minutes on a web chat queue that no human turned up to help. Now seeking compensation as I cannot view what I paid for. Please advise.

@virginmedia @StevenDent35621 Was going to say. You are already aware and it’s a 2 week fix

  • traceyjohnson44
    tracey johnson (@traceyjohnson44) reported

@virginmedia It was very frustrating and the caller kept saying my mum had to talk. But my mum gets confused. I was getting stressed as my mum relies on it. But it should say on my mum's account that she is elderly and has emergency calling attached to her phone.

  • KathyMi25429227
    Kathy Miller (@KathyMi25429227) reported

@virginmedia I am NOT setting up a passcode. I ought to be able to SPEAK HUMAN TO A HUMAN. I gave spent an hour amd finally spoke to someone but am still complaining to Ofcom 4 a variety of reasons about appalling customer service

Nice to see @virginmedia issues with @SkySports + are still not resolved. Absolutely useless... Hope you are gonna knock some money off my bill.
