    @virginmedia So only total loss of service allows me compensation,just 7 days of really awful service including customer services, when asked about compensation and I query the criteria,throw a ‘sorry I can’t hear you’... Now that’s really awful customer service 😡

    He eventually admitted we could probably make things work by plugging a long phone cable from the adapter in the broadband hub to the phone base in the hall. Could @VirginMedia provide this cable? Nope, you'll have to buy it yourself. Until we do? No landline phone service. /4

    Buying a cable is not that expensive, but it's annoying. Yes, I should have read the instructions when the adaptor arrived, but I foolishly assumed that the changeover would be easy & simple, rather than complicated & costing us money to fix the @Virginmedia-created problem. /5

    @EyeEdinburgh @virginmedia I don't know if it's any use to you, but we've been using a service called Virtual Landline, which forwards your landline number to a mobile.Costs from a fiver a month and has been working well for us (touch wood). I do not work for them, honest! 🙃
