There is no escalation, and they can’t even call the construction company to escalate issues. As someone who has worked within many projects teams, and mapped business processes, yours is simply shocking

Wolf of X (@WolfofX) reportedIn 2003, Stan Beaton lost his wife, Ruby, to stomach cancer. Before she passed away, she had recorded the voicemail greeting for their home telephone. It was an ordinary message to anyone else, but to Stan it became the last recording of her voice. For more than a decade, he kept that voicemail safe. He even stayed with the same phone company because he feared changing providers might erase it. Whenever he missed Ruby, he would call his own home just to hear her say, "Sorry, at the moment, Stan and Ruby are not available..." For him, those few seconds were enough to bring her close again. Then, in December 2014, a network upgrade accidentally deleted the recording. Stan was heartbroken. He later said it felt like losing his wife all over again. Believing there was nothing left to lose, he contacted Virgin Media and asked if there was any way to recover it. What followed was something no one expected. Eleven telecommunications engineers spent three days searching through backup systems for a single deleted audio file. They described it as looking for a needle in a haystack, but they refused to give up. They found it. Instead of simply returning the recording, BBC Radio Leeds arranged a surprise during an interview with Stan. As Ruby's familiar voice filled the room once again, he broke down in tears. "That's her. Wonderful. Wonderful." The company later gave Stan permanent copies of the recording on a CD so he would never have to fear losing it again. It wasn't just a recovered voicemail. It was the return of the last words he could still hear from the woman he loved, a voice that had waited silently for years until someone cared enough to bring it back.

Sleepy (@Sleepyteacher3) reported@virginmedia Hello! I still haven’t had an activation email to be able to watch TNT through HBO App. I have TNT in my package. I have chatted on live chat to different people who keep saying ‘wait 24 hours for email’. 24 hours later… no email! Getting no support😔
-
Adrian Weale (@Edeaulx) reportedI would contact you directly @virginmedia but your 'My Virgin Media' website won't allow me to sign in. I assume that this kind of obstructiveness is what got you fined so lavishly by @Ofcom
-
Joanna Ayliffe (@joanna_ayliffe) reported@virginmedia how do you manage to charge me for a service you barely provided but won't let me bill you £25 for an engineer who did not arrive between 8 and 12 on the day in question?
-
Wistern1337 (@wistern1337) reportedSickening it's still hard for customers leave your service despite being fined by the UK government £28m I moved away from your service in March to a new provider. I have been charged over £300 for unused services. Refund refused. Never sign up to ripoff Virgin! @virginmedia
-
Berk (@trapdoor456) reported@virginmedia @RicardoEyes Maybe show decent customer service when you are contacted about issues initially, not just when people have had enough & leave 🤷
-
Robby Yung ⦿⦿⦿ (@viewfromhk) reported@0xsachi I think "moat" is just a polite way of saying monopoly. First mover advantage builds a brand and customer stickiness, and I think this should be the goal, personally. But all these anti-competitive practices like making cancelling services ridiculously hard (hello @virginmedia ) or walling the garden once you get enough users (hello @facebook Open Graph) should be cracked down on, in my opinion.
-
Michelle Wright (@EDsetMefree) reported@virginmedia been with you ever since you were ntlworld, you recently changed my phone to digital with back up emergency phone, the engineer didn’t take my disability into account, has put my phone where I can’t even get to it, impossible to get through to you as you cut the call before connecting, your now not giving me the service I am paying for and in breach of contract, so I am going to cancel my direct debit for all services including tv

Steve Kelly (@kellyokid) reported@virginmedia Hi, would appreciate some contact from you! Apparently I’m now out of contract and my price per month has doubled, no communication from you and I’ve only found out because one of my boxes has decided not to work as a result of broadband connection issues! Brilliant!
