As customer service standards go, @virginmedia sucks badly. They need to seriously ask themselves, is letting someone wait 45 mins and counting for someone to help with a technical fault acceptable? NO IT ISN’T. HEEEELLLLOOOOO???!! WHEN ARE YOU PICKING UP??!!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬

@OwenJones84 @virginmedia @JeremyVineOn5 Usually a router issue of inefficient switching between bands 2.4GHz and 5GHz Can go into router settings and explicitly set it to 2.4GHz (lower speed/better range) or 5GHz (higher speed/poorer range)

  • OlaAgbaimoni Ola Agbaimoni (@OlaAgbaimoni) reported from London, England

@virginmedia Hi please send an engineer to my house to sort out the useless Hub 4 box that replaced my reliable and efficient Hub 3. I have asked the community for a solution and they say get engineer out to separate the 2 and 5 GEXT. Fed up of paying good £ for a crap service!

  • MLong94 Mark.. (@MLong94) reported from Grays, England

@virginmedia To clarify : I am still waiting two weeks after the date YOU @virginmedia said you’d call me back. I’ve received another bill for almost twice what I agreed to. And my online message & complaint have been ignored. Shall I try @Ofcom next? Thanks.

  • peteholbrook Peter Holbrook (@peteholbrook) reported from London, England

@virginmedia is their an outage in SE London ? I’ve lost everything.

  • SaraBarman Sara Barman (@SaraBarman) reported from London, England

@virginmedia I would like @virginmedia to return the call they promised over a week ago addressing the fact I agreed to pay £28/month and then got charged £46/month. Are you still listening to the tapes?! My email and complaint also ignored. 😡

  • jit_singh99 Jit (@jit_singh99) reported from Romford, England

I’m a new customer with @virginmedia. Should be getting 200MB download. But literally move 2/3 meters away from router and it drops significantly and device is just buffering. Furthermore trying to resolve this via ur call centre is a joke. Been on hold for 50mins now.

Virgin Media Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • kobikiuk shaun sawyer (@kobikiuk) reported

@virginmedia Can you also supply the number for customer services so that I can lodge a complaint against the service and technical support response?

  • itskyleflamson Kyle Flamson (@itskyleflamson) reported

@virginmedia It’s nothing to do with anything with the hub. The connection dropped multiple times completely. No WiFi, no Ethernet connection, nothing. It just lost connection to VMs network. Entirely.

  • gregarus Greg hook (@gregarus) reported

@virginmedia My partner been told she agreed a contract to have sky sports last year but she only found out last week she has it, yet never watched it and you want £240 discon fee, keep getting cut off, eventually told they will check the original call, then told “not all calls recorded”

  • 1DrunkBarbarian Stewart Bennie (@1DrunkBarbarian) reported

@virginmedia You sent an engineer to fix it and it's fixed nothing

  • kobikiuk shaun sawyer (@kobikiuk) reported

@virginmedia I have both wired and wireless connections to the router. But the issue is the stability of the router connection to Virginmedia network (cabinet problem??). This happens in both wifi router and modem mode. What I need is 2nd / 3rd line support to identify and fix the cause!!

  • djsm1ddy djsm1ddy (@djsm1ddy) reported

@virginmedia Wifi. We're talking g about how the wifi is slow and occasionally drops out

  • Sam_Rigg1 Sam (@Sam_Rigg1) reported

@virginmedia No, I don't believe they have logged it as an issue, they just tell me a fake date to get me off the phone. I know that over-utilisation is the issue since it is extremely common with VM and I set up a BQM on one of your forums etc.

  • gregarus Greg hook (@gregarus) reported

@virginmedia Also told the managers decision has been emailed (it hasn’t) an absolute poorly handled situation by @virginmedia and will NEVER use your services again whatever the outcome

  • Joee_Sp Joee⚡️ (@Joee_Sp) reported

@virginmedia customer service are an absolute disgrace, several complaints and callbacks not handled.

  • mateo301294 cristian jaramillo (@mateo301294) reported

@virginmedia The agent said that we will have to wait for the call. Because what the house needs is a recable. Saying sorry, does not fix the situation. What is needed is a technician. #CustomerService #badcustomerservice #badservice
