grizzly_gooner (@GoonerGrizzly) reported from Thundersley, England@virginmedia I have spoken to your CS team about raising a complaint and have been told that the complaints procedure is for existing customers. -
rachel Wheelhouse 🇺🇦 (@RWheelhouse1) reported from Chelmsford, England@virginmedia 6 days since moving to Virgin, we are having issues, the WiFi won't reach our outside cameras. After completing the troubleshooting guides + waiting for over an hour for a chat agent + 30 mins on the phone, we still haven't spoken to a human....not impressed
-
Katie Purkiss (@KatiePurkiss) reported from Southend-on-Sea, England@virginmedia I’ve sorted the issue. But now there’s no way of cancelling the engineer! Can’t get through on phone. Appointment isn’t showing on their account, so can’t cancel there. WhatsApp is useless - been waiting for an Agent to be available since about 1pm!
-

Liam Stanley💙 (@SeasideAPNP) reported from Sutton at Hone, England@AnnG50707311 @virginmedia I always haggled with them and got them to come in at new customer prices. Surprising what they will give you when you let them think you are leaving. Also let them know what other companies will offer you to become a customer as they may match the offer
-

-
grizzly_gooner (@GoonerGrizzly) reported from Thundersley, England@virginmedia This seems to be the standard message coming from Virgin Media. “Computer says no”. If you can’t see the issue with this then you (Virgin Media) are the problem. I’m inclined to contact the ombudsman as you have sold me a service which you blatantly cannot provide or install.
-
Wesley Hammer ⚒️ (@CouchPotatoUK) reported from Romford, England@virginmedia for a media company that sells amazing broadband, your website is terrible. Just goes in circles, doesn't let you change packages online. Terrible.
-
Dr Andrew Fleming 🇬🇧 🏴 (@Andrew007Uk) reported from Sutton at Hone, England@virginmedia John - lights are on but the external fault has already been established. It is a contractor that has to deal with the issue - one claimed to have done it but it failed to work - now you contractor is failing to respond to requests by your colleagues 4 updates on a new commission
-
Dr Andrew Fleming 🇬🇧 🏴 (@Andrew007Uk) reported from Sutton at Hone, EnglandListening to the broadband presentation on @itvMLshow with some irony. I pay @virginmedia £79/month for broadband/phone & TV. BB/TV failed in November, after many calls they say it will be fixed in March 2023 😬 Compensation is only calculated when service is restored 😪 Fair?
-

My bill started off at £35 and is now £45 as we had to buy boosters. Worst service ever. Skybroadband non-fibre was better than this.
Virgin Media Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Liz Langfield (@liz_langfield) reported@ArturNadol7566 So Virgin Media has to pay a fine of £28m for the deliberate mistreatment of customers. But where does that money actually go? Certainly not to their customer-victims of their mistreatment. As always, fines paid by large corporations and companies NEVER benefit the victims.
-
mitchelle holland (@mitchlog) reported@BladeoftheS Never watched tv for 7 months filled out online form to buy license to watch world cup football . They have backdated yo Dec 25 . Now going in circles like virgin media to get refund . Imagine how they will take money with digital id and digital banking . 🪬🏦
-
Modern day King of moderate degeneracy (@b4ran4bus) reported@Stsantek @virginmedia Awful
-
Flossie Smith (@LostPigeonPost) reported@virginmedia @Stsantek Virgin has thus customer’s contact details, but as always expects the customer to get in touch with them - which is ALWAYS a waste of hours and hours of the customer’s time. Virgin knows that and everyone else knows that.
-
WimpingEgo (@WimpingEgo) reported@EE At what stage of the order would I get a set up/ connection date please. @virginmedia have let me down far to many times so looking to switch to a new ISP
-
estevén (@superpaddiepads) reported@LessGrumpy @virginmedia Exactly that. The quality of the broadband has never been an issue but the customer service is almost non existent. But when you base that offshore it does tend to be the case. Very polite but utterly useless.
-
estevén (@superpaddiepads) reported@LessGrumpy @virginmedia Whenever I’ve had issues with Virgin it’s never been a UK call centre I’ve spoken to. Tend to avoid now but just left again after a couple of years of thankfully issue free broadband. Moved to PlusNet which is Openreach rebranded but far cheaper.
-
Opeyemi Daniel (@DinaGlyphs) reported@Stsantek @virginmedia Newsflash, @EE is also ridiculous with shady contracts. I hope you never get to cross hairs with them.
-
Rob Heneghan (@robheneghan) reported@virginmedia There is a known issue. But the time it’s getting fixed is changing every few hours. And not for the better. As a laying customer we need to know when it will be coming back on as right now I’m using my mobile data for myself and children
-
GromitFoxZero (@gromitfoxzero) reported@whisperwoIf @virginmedia I mean they didn’t let customers cancel and yet they got fined yesterday by our regulator here in the UK for £28m. I can’t relate because I use Plusnet which practically never goes out or ***** up a lot
