@virginmedia is there an explanation of the intermittent evening issues affecting RM11 1DN for the last few weeks?

  • GoonerGrizzly
grizzly_gooner (@GoonerGrizzly) reported from Thundersley, England

@virginmedia This seems to be the standard message coming from Virgin Media. “Computer says no”. If you can’t see the issue with this then you (Virgin Media) are the problem. I’m inclined to contact the ombudsman as you have sold me a service which you blatantly cannot provide or install.

  • BobCratchitt
Andee Byford (@BobCratchitt) reported from Romford, England

@virginmedia Yes I have checked the service status, it is the first thing I do & all was fine. The issues is with the cable Ethernet & the phone connection in the Hub 4. I don’t use your WiFi setup as my house is fully cabled for networking. I am a Network Architect, so have done basic tests

  • Andrew007Uk
Dr Andrew Fleming 🇬🇧 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 (@Andrew007Uk) reported from Sutton at Hone, England

After a mammoth session on the phone to 6 of your departments to arrange interim broadband given your service failed in Nov. & won't be fixed to March I spoke to a helpful chap called David in the Customer Care Dept before I was cut off. Can you help reconnect me @virginmedia 🙏🏻

  • feyipuk
Phil (@feyipuk) reported from Crayford, England

@virginmedia I'm sorry for the two poor support staff who are trying to sell us new remote controls, routers and O2 sims - for more money - till we hit the nuclear option and say we're leaving to get what we're asking? We're loyal customers; why does it need to get to that?

  • macon1375
Mark Connolly (@macon1375) reported from Crayford, England

@virginmedia Of course. I’ve done everything required of me: I was told it’s caused by my home move and the disconnection due on 12th. Things seem to have been prematurely actioned affecting my signal

  • getpipfit
Pippa Crowther (@getpipfit) reported from Sutton at Hone, England

@virginmedia Thankyou. The site still won't let me check status.. reported this.. says your site down. I've now spoken to someone as I need Internet for work. Someone coming out on Saturday!

  • rrrussboy
Russell Norris (@rrrussboy) reported from Southend-on-Sea, England

@virginmedia Actually that’s wrong, I received an email to advise that the complaint had been resolved and had to respond saying it hasn’t. What hope is there when you can’t even get a complaint right?

  • macon1375
Mark Connolly (@macon1375) reported from Crayford, England

@virginmedia @virginmedia can have no rival to the worst customer service out there! Said resolved an issue after held for over an hour only to find it’s not and I now can’t get back in touch. 2nd day work ruined

  • rrrussboy
Russell Norris (@rrrussboy) reported from Southend-on-Sea, England

@virginmedia I’ve already raised a complaint. I spoke to someone in the Stage 2 complaints team who told me it’s being dealt with and, as already mentioned, a manager would call me back at 4.30 which didn’t happen. Can someone please sort this out?

  • LaurenLFlower
charlie and Blossom (@LaurenLFlower) reported from Romford, England

@virginmedia Hi I have an issue with my current plan? It says I’ve cancelled my O2 benefits but I never received the sim nor did I cancel.

  • mizznansea
Nancy S (@mizznansea) reported from Aveley, England

@virginmedia I've been having problems with my phoneline and it is currently dead. An engineer came on Friday but its still not working. Charges have also been appearing on my phone bill for calls I have not made. This has happened twice since November.

  • discobabe76
DragonFish 🇬🇧🇪🇺🇮🇹 (@discobabe76) reported from Sutton at Hone, England

@virginmedia 11/ I've never been 6 days without internet and help was much more available in the past with virgin. Now, customers are being left high and dry.

  • macon1375
Mark Connolly (@macon1375) reported from Crayford, England

@virginmedia They advise they would send a signal to router, I then turn off after 5 mins, for 10 mins and when back on all will be working! Well it didn’t make a difference and my speed test shows my downloads dropped from 236mbs to 36. The issue is uploads tho at 0.5mbps. On hold again!

  • discobabe76
DragonFish 🇬🇧🇪🇺🇮🇹 (@discobabe76) reported from Sutton at Hone, England

@virginmedia 8/ have to pay if it came down to a third party router intimating that the fault was mine. No appointment till Thursday! I tried to explain that I care for an elderly lady and he wouldn't let me speak and kept interrupting me which was incredibly rude. I advised him to let me

@virginmedia The issue has now been resolved just after my tweet, I was just very angry at the time. Thank you though for responding.

  • discobabe76
DragonFish 🇬🇧🇪🇺🇮🇹 (@discobabe76) reported from Sutton at Hone, England

@MayorofLondon Shame they provide the most terrible customer service and treat you like they've got you by the short and curlies! Pay £400 a year for a service, custome service agents are like robots and stuff you for days when it doesn't work with no alternative offered! @virginmedia

  • WhiskyOneIce
Mark 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 (@WhiskyOneIce) reported from Sutton at Hone, England

@virginmedia Yes I have chased and chased and spent 4 hours today on WhatsApp, no advise just can't help because I have outstanding bill....no the line isn't active because it was ported over to Community Fibre on 8th July

  • mizznansea
Nancy S (@mizznansea) reported from Aveley, England

So trying to cancel @virginmedia services and the stalling tactics being used are not cool. If customers want to leave they have every right to do so. Let them go.

Being messed up by @virginmedia. 1st we were never told the old box must be returned then they charge £90 for not returning it. Trying to get this sorted is such a hassle. You’re told one thing, nothing gets done then you’re told something else.

Everyone's focused on $AMPG's US story. And fair enough, they're expanding fast across America. The only American 64T64R AI-RAN radio, deployed at Telus, a Strategic Partner in the DoD-funded Open6G hub next to $NVDA and $QCOM, and the CEO just said new major carriers may go straight to POs next quarter. The US story alone is plenty. But here's what almost nobody is connecting: it was never going to stop at America. On the last earnings call, CEO Fawad Maqbool pointed somewhere else entirely: "Our success being the largest O-RAN deployment in America is helping us reach out and reach further into Europe and other areas of the world". That's the strategy in one sentence. Win the flagship at home, then use that credibility as a passport into other markets. And it isn't just talk. The groundwork is already there. Receipt 1, the concrete one: AMPG signed a 5-year supplier agreement with Fujitsu Spain back in October 2024, explicitly expanding its reach across Europe, Africa and the Middle East. So when the CEO says "Europe," there's already a signed, multi-year channel underneath the words. Receipt 2 is hiding in plain sight: the United Kingdom. Look at AmpliTech's customer wall and you'll find Digital Catapult. Most people scroll right past it. But Digital Catapult isn't a random logo. It's a UK government-backed innovation organization, funded through Innovate UK and DSIT (the UK's Department for Science, Innovation and Technology). And it runs SONIC Labs, the country's flagship Open RAN testing facility. Here's where AMPG enters. Its 64T64R Massive MIMO radio was tested at the O-RAN Global PlugFest in London, hosted at SONIC Labs, with HTC's G-REIGN providing the DU/CU stack and AmpliTech bringing the radio. The only American radio in the room, validated inside a UK government-funded laboratory. Now the part that makes it interesting. Who advises SONIC Labs? All four of Britain's major operators: EE/BT, Three, Virgin Media O2 and Vodafone UK. They sit on its advisory board, shaping what they need from Open RAN vendors and acting as potential future buyers of the vendors who pass through. So picture it. AMPG's radio validated in a government-backed UK lab, whose advisory board is a who's-who of every major British carrier. The entire UK Open RAN buying ecosystem, in one room, watching the only American radio perform. Now let me be completely honest, because that's the only way this is worth anything. There is no signed UK contract. The British operators advise SONIC Labs, they do not own it, and they haven't bought anything from AMPG yet. This was a product-validation milestone, not a revenue event. Anyone telling you the UK government or a British carrier is about to hand AMPG a deal is getting ahead of the facts. A foot in the door is not a sale. But here's why it matters AMPG keeps showing up in exactly the rooms that matter. The US DoD-funded Open6G hub. The O-RAN Global PlugFest as the only American 64T64R radio to pass. A signed channel into Europe via Fujitsu Spain. And now a UK government-backed lab advised by every major British operator. And the CEO saying they'll expand to Europe. That's the pattern. The same playbook, repeated across the Western world: get the only American radio validated, get it in front of the buyers, and let the sovereignty tailwind do the rest. One market at a time. This isn't a company waiting to be discovered. It's methodically getting itself in front of every major Open RAN buyer in the US and Europe, one validation at a time. The contracts are the next step, not the first one. A foot in the door isn't a deal. But you never get the deal without it first. And AMPG's foot is now in a lot of very important doors. Still sub-$1B while all of this quietly compounds. Not financial advice. I'm long $AMPG. DYOR. 📡

@BingoBertie @RichardLXXII @virginmedia Yes you clearly have no clue about the wording of the contract. Contracts have a fixed period and if you are smart you have discounts. They however have a fixed period, so if you let them run out the contract continues without them. So what your are suggesting is bad
