@virginmedia @52marathonman They are useless, had an installation due on Wednesday of this week, they emailed me Wednesday morning to say they couldn’t instal as they had been unable to gain access on Monday. Never did they mention needing access on Monday, and I was home all day and no one rang bell!!

  • garypleece
Gary Pleece (@garypleece) reported from Brighton and Hove, England

@virginmedia So… are you saying work is being carried out today. Wait until tomorrow and then if still bad book an engineer? I can live with that. But the person I spoke to had no idea about that and just booked an engineer again. Can I ask have other people raised area issues?

  • CharlesB2T
Charles Brittain (@CharlesB2T) reported from Burgess Hill, England

@virginmedia how do I simply cancel my account on a chosen date? It seems impossible to arrange this on your website or app.

  • etinton
Elliot Tinton (@etinton) reported from Shoreham-by-Sea, England

.@virginmedia so how do I get in touch, speak to someone, get issues resolved?? No response anywhere.

  • MarkCherrie
Mark Cherrie (@MarkCherrie) reported from Brighton and Hove, England

So far I’ve had three promised appointments from @virginmedia but sadly three no shows. We’ve had intermittent broadband for about 6 months now and just can’t seem to get the problem fixed.

  • Sacto_King_UK
Danny Williamson (@Sacto_King_UK) reported from Worthing, England

@virginmedia But I’ve been in touch with the phone teams, they can’t or don’t do anything’s. At all. The Social Team were in contact via email, but finish their shift, and don’t tell me. Then don’t get back in contact, or pass me on to a colleague. It’s terrible customer service

  • mrgarrett100
Lee Garrett (@mrgarrett100) reported from Worthing, England

@virginmedia you guys are truly the worst... move the service to you with 6 weeks notice and you don't have it ready - suggesting we wait 16 days until you're ready with no service as we've cut the other provider?????

  • BecciCohen
Becci Cohen (@BecciCohen) reported from Worthing District, England

It must have been a bad day for the #virginmedia social media team. I’m one of those affected by the outages today, but I bet my day’s been better than theirs!

  • alternativeage
Alternative Ageing (@alternativeage) reported from Brighton and Hove, England

@virginmedia It’s happening way to regularly. I’ve lost a whole days work up to now, do I get compensation? Spent an hour yesterday morning sorting out yet more issues as a result of the outage over the w/e. 🥲

  • rhock1979

@virginmedia How can we get money back from this issue or will you credit all the customers who got virgin tv etc due to what happened

  • sami_chanchan
Sami Channon (@sami_chanchan) reported from Worthing, England

@virginmedia @Ofcom @TradeStandards just called to try & cancel my plan as I have just been evicted. you don’t supply my new flat but want to charge me £250, your agent was so rude and refused to transfer me to a manager. Thanks for making a hard time worse!

  • esjexe
Siobhan Fitzgerald-Gibson (@esjexe) reported from Hove, England

@virginmedia Intermittent broadband service for 24 hours, no contact or apology, and when I called your customer service rep said it wasn't on the status page because "it only affects 25% of customers." Your company should be up in front of Ofcom.

  • FragileCreature
Fragile Creatures (@FragileCreature) reported from Brighton and Hove, England

@virginmedia We already know there aren't problems in the area. I'm complaining about a lack of customer support staff and you send us to an automated line! Ridiculous.

  • beadyface
Keri Kennedy (@beadyface) reported from Hove, England

@virginmedia It didn’t work, box was reset, tried to use online help, still not working.

  • garypleece
Gary Pleece (@garypleece) reported from Brighton and Hove, England

@virginmedia Called and no issues. It has to be equipment, right? There’s an option to ‘test hub’ on that link but it just goes to an invalid page. I’ve been patient for a few weeks now, but I’m finding it hard to remain so! Trying to work like this is impossible

  • garypleece
Gary Pleece (@garypleece) reported from Brighton and Hove, England

@virginmedia Same, slow and occasionally dropping out

  • fabsalva
Fabrizio Salvatore (@fabsalva) reported from Woodingdean, England

@virginmedia is there a known issue in the BN2 6 area of Brighton with your broadband? Crashed at 14:30 and hub seems to be unable to rejoin the network...

  • DavMichael

@virginmedia Finally back on just before compensation has to be paid funny that. So we just have to accept no service with no consequences for yourselves.

  • FrazzzYT
    Frazzz (@FrazzzYT) reported

Virgin Media has got to have some of the worst systems in the UK. Demanding money (I kid you not putting a demand for £0.00 or they will cut service and apply late fees) spoke to complaints they sorted and wiped everything. Literally two mins ago a new email demanding money >.>

  • markrmifsud
    markrmifsud (@markrmifsud) reported

@virginmedia it's been said that service should resume 16:00 tomorrow?

  • spudmagic
    Potato Witch (@spudmagic) reported

@PeteUK7 @virginmedia Virgin continued to bill me after I switched to another provider, then chased me for £500 of "service" I hadn't had. When I told them I wouldn't be paying it because I switched to another provider X number of months ago, they said "oh yes, we knew that". ******* useless company

  • RobHolroyd
    Rob Holroyd (@RobHolroyd) reported

@PeteUK7 @virginmedia We're having the same problem, been a year now, my dad is having to pay bills manually and incurring additional charges as they won't recognise his wife has died after countless emails and calls. It's disgusting.

  • Lord_Arse
    Lord Arse! (@Lord_Arse) reported

@markrmifsud @virginmedia Same here. "glad" that somebody else has the same issue, if you know what I mean.

  • Teresacooper
    🌸 🙀 Teresa Cooper (@Teresacooper) reported

@virginmedia all my emergency buttons are on Virgin and its all been offline since yesterday.

  • daddytoatribe
    Kyle (@daddytoatribe) reported

@virginmedia If you can offer a deal to a new customer you should be able to offer the same deal for existing customers. This is why your retention rate is diabolical because the introductory offers expire and the new offer is 300% more than what they was paying. Should be illegal

  • Ana1Atkinson
    Ana Atkinson (@Ana1Atkinson) reported

@virginmedia we currently have no broadband, no tv and no landline. When I checked the service status, it says phone is ok, so I’m unable to register that we have no landline?
