Something about having detected that my internet was slow when doing online banking. It sounded very much like the “We are from BT open reach” scam so I said I would call them back.

The call was a scam, saying that my wifi was too slow and trying to get to my laptop. When I twigged and refused they became abusive and threatened physical abuse.

They physically cut the cable to my neighbours house while “fixing” mine once. They got it back up and running but offered nothing in recompense.

This is more frequent than that. 8 times in 3 days in May. Twice in 2 weeks in July. This is more than things just not working from time to time
