  • RobinsonBelinda
Belinda Robinson (@RobinsonBelinda) reported from Worthing, England

@virginmedia Will I have to wait up to an hour if I dial this number before anyone answers? Also last time I spoke to someone they said they couldn’t do anything as I had raised a complaint. I just seem to go round in circles instead of getting it sorted!

  • rafthemaster
Richard Frame (@rafthemaster) reported from Burgess Hill, England

@virginmedia Looked for a moment like it was back, both the TiVo and router self restarted - is this meant to happen as part of work that may be being done?, unfortunately hasn’t resulted in restoration of service. Confirmed on service page it’s still an outage in the area

  • leerobertson64
Lee Robertson FCSI FRSA (@leerobertson64) reported from Hove, England

@virginmedia Service keeps dropping and when on its really poor signal. Gone through all the usual trouble shooting steps as this happened a few weeks back so just did everything as per last time.

Out of contract with @virginmedia so looking at deals New customer: 213Mbps, 200+ channels inc Sky Cinema, new STB, plus a 49” LG TV, all for £57pm Existing customer: upgrade 108 to 213Mbps, add Sky Cinema to package, no other extras, £120pm Why do companies do this?!

  • rafthemaster
Richard Frame (@rafthemaster) reported from Burgess Hill, England

@dazzleeds @virginmedia That’s because the router will auto connect without password to show you a diagnostics page to let you self test for issues (no good here as it’s on VM side) once service is back the router will resume normal security mode

  • indiointernet
Brian Roe (@indiointernet) reported from Brighton and Hove, England

@virginmedia If you read back, I already mentioned that I had done do. Hence the speed test that I performed. Look, I mean no disrespect but your service is a bit of a joke. I couldn't even get through on the phone! Engaged tone for 2hours. Thankfully, things seem ok today.

  • rafthemaster
Richard Frame (@rafthemaster) reported from Burgess Hill, England

@virginmedia Are you able to advise IF this is going to be fixed, yesterday you said by 10am today. Then 2pm,6pm & now 10am tomorrow - could live with the loss of either service but it’s really impacting not having either!

@HaileeBacardi @virginmedia I’m in a similar boat as you (no internet for 1 week, 3 days of work missed for the household, etc). Consider filing a complaint with Consumer Line (or your local equivalent). Virgin is going to try and have you file complaints internally so they can keep it on the long finger.
