@yorkshirerosie @virginmedia I think your issue is that you are furthest from the cabinet. Therefore everyone else is getting the capacity first. That said for that big a drop in speed late at night it means that they either reduced the capacity on the line or something further up is using a lot. It could

@yorkshirerosie @virginmedia 64mb is ok but if you were getting 150mb then I expect you’d notice it. Good news is. It’s not your issue. It means that theres either a fault on the line, or there’s too many people using it at the same time. It’s called “contention”. Have you called your supplier?

@virginmedia After asking why we wasnt told so we could make other arrangements we was told that they assumed we already knew. When clearly wasnt the case and was just left in the Lerch! We decided we wanted to make a complaint and asked to be forwarded #virginmedia.

@virginmedia The engineer came & said it was a problem with the electrics to the box in the street, he also changed the cable to a different position in the same box, since then the the internets been ok, a little slow, it kept cutting out when speaking to my sister, she called me on landline

@virginmedia I am sorry to report this is not actuall resolved. Every night after about 7 the connection slows down to far less than I pay for and by 8am the next day it speeds up again. This is the same for a couple of friends within 1/2 mile. This eeks of the old traffic shaping days

@virginmedia it’s been 4 days without broadband and nobody in customer service seems to know how to fix this. Any chance we can get someone to look into it or escalate? Feels like Virgin support has stopped caring at this point.
