Rob Mcgimpsey (@Rob_Mcgimpsey) reported from Romsey, England@virginmedia Virgin are compensating me £5.25 a day. That’s £787. Two years of free service because they couldn’t organise a piss up in a brewery
-
Rob Mcgimpsey (@Rob_Mcgimpsey) reported from Ampfield, England@virginmedia Unfortunately no end in sight. I had to make another call to Virgin today. It took 40 minutes before I was talking to someone. It seems Virgin are not capable to get this over the line without me pushing them onto the next step and following up to make sure things are done. Poor

Nicola Foster (@mayonnaise65) reported from Portsmouth, England@virginmedia 3.45 pm for 1st issue and 8.30pm for second issue
-
Sarah-Jane Finch (@formula1girl) reported from Eastleigh, England@sfc_rich @virginmedia They literally don’t care. They are my Dads provider too so I’m going to have the same issues when his house is sold. I’ve never, ever dealt with such sheer incompetence in my life!
-
Jeff Otton (@Jeff_Otton) reported from Portsmouth, England@virginmedia Yeah I did - and I used the ridiculous online assistant. However the problem is my wifi signal is really bad. But because they can’t see a problem their end they won’t help. Plus the queue to try get help is really bad. Your call is in a que because we’d rather employ telesales
-
Vinnie Davis (@vinnie_davis) reported from Portsmouth, England@virginmedia Nope! just spent two hours on the phone to what you laughing call "Customer Care" people. They can only be called at best useless. It's more than obvious that your company has nothing but contempt for its customer so will not be using your services.
-
Finola Sloyan - Brand building PR for B2B (@FinolaSloyanPR) reported from Portsmouth, England@virginmedia Your lack of communication has and still is horrific. And i am fast losing confidence in @virginmedia - how can i plan a working day while having to chase the Supplier of my comms equipment. Issue was to be fixed at 8am, but now … who knows!😡
-
Rob Mcgimpsey (@Rob_Mcgimpsey) reported from Ampfield, England@virginmedia the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered. 6 cancelled installs, no broadband, no Tv, no heating. Unable to work thanks to virgin media. No resolution in sight, just empty promises and apologies.
-
Sarah-Jane Finch (@formula1girl) reported from Southampton, England@virginmedia I cancelled in July (which apparently you have no record of) so I contacted you in Sept when you threatened to cut my service off, that I wasn’t using anymore, and told you I’d cancelled. I’m not paying this!! Absolutely ridiculous!!
-
Rob Mcgimpsey (@Rob_Mcgimpsey) reported from Romsey, England@virginmedia This has already been dealt with yea, we’re continuing just because it feels as if we’ve waited too long to cancel now. Plus, Virgin are crediting me £5.35 for every day of delay that they’ve caused (55 days and counting).
-
Pete (@unhippyman) reported from Portsmouth, EnglandConsider this as me reporting loss of service @virginmedia - because there’s no other way of doing it right now!
-
Rahim™ 🇬🇧🇲🇦 (@rahim94) reported from Southampton, EnglandAt this rate, Virgin Media is gonna have to change their name because that's bound to offend some woke idiot somewhere 🙄 #BBCQT
-
Rob Mcgimpsey (@Rob_Mcgimpsey) reported from Romsey, England@virginmedia You’re not helping. You’re asking the same questions you ask every day. Yes, complaint raised. No, Virgin have given no reason why they keep cancelling. Next you’ll tell me you can’t do anything to help, which is exactly what your customer services say
-
Rob Mcgimpsey (@Rob_Mcgimpsey) reported from Romsey, England@virginmedia I guarantee you they cannot help. I call every day, usually spending over an hour on the phone. The pre-installs team only promise me a call back from someone who can help, within 24-48hrs. The call back never comes, despite further requests for this to happen. Explain that?
-
Rob Mcgimpsey (@Rob_Mcgimpsey) reported from Romsey, England@virginmedia After waiting 24hrs for a response on WhatsApp I’ve once again been told I need to talk to another department. I waste more time waiting to speak with the “correct” department, only to be told they can’t help because of a third party completing the work. Absolute joke
-
Mike Walker (@MikeWalker2012) reported from Fareham, England@virginmedia Honestly, I tried contacting customer support & they didn't care, so I don't think there's anything further you can do, the functionality of 360 is hopeless, doesn't come anywhere near as good as the old TiVo box. I just need to dump the overpriced VM service as soon as possible.
-
Rob Mcgimpsey (@Rob_Mcgimpsey) reported from Romsey, England@virginmedia The call back was organised by your virgin customer services because nobody seems to know what’s going on with my install. I think the hope was that the area manager might know. I’m not even exaggerating.
-
Sarah-Jane Finch (@formula1girl) reported from Southampton, England@virginmedia more of your appalling customer service!!!! Spend over 90 minutes on your chat help “service” trying to resolve an issue and your agent takes a break. When he returns and I don’t reply as I’m getting lunch I get cut off. And guess what?
Virgin Media Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Shardon (@shardon1980) reported@virginmedia I can’t send DMs but update. Issue won’t be fixed until 14th August . Absolutely unacceptable. No notice or comms I had to check myself. I pay you a lot of money. To be over 2 weeks with no WiFi is unacceptable. No details either and your hotline has a wait time of over 45 mins.
-
propper klopper (@gilesy10982) reported@miked36 @virginmedia No problem at all 👍🏻
-
Charles Forsyth (@charles_forsyth) reported@biggle1908 @SBarrettBar @zeninternet I have both Zen and Virgin Media (two fibres). Zen is symmetric but VM is not (here), despite Zen being half the price. Symmetry (or not) depends on the underlying infrastructure supplier. VM has been great over many years, fairly usual tech support; Zen has been excellent and the tech support is very techy. ("Symmetric" here means upload and download rate is the same; often upload is much slower.)
-
John Bhoy Walton (@walton_bhoy) reported@virginmedia 33 mins on the phone to be told the engineer who was out on 24/072026 did not fix my issue but told me it was shocking really bad

-
Shaun Riley (@shaunriley1954) reported@DarcKni68649817 @virginmedia I had that and I have been a customer since before ntl!!
-
VB (@Vincent2455) reportedReceived a text from @virginmedia asking me to return an unused device or they will charge me for something I did not request. Investigation Findings The regulatory investigation covered calls made between January 1, 2022, and September 11, 2024. Ofcom found that MILLIONS of customer service interactions were mishandled to prevent or delay cancellations. Specific tactics included: • Deliberately dropping or hanging up calls when customers asked to cancel. Putting callers on hold for no reason to frustrate them Excessive and unnecessary call transfers between departments. Using a two-tier retention system where only specific agents were allowed to process final cancellations. THIS LOT ARE CONFIRMED CRUEL SCAMMERS
