  • lexo6647 Acky (@lexo6647) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia the problem is now being dealt with and will need repair. Thanks for the help again although it shouldn’t be so difficult. Pensioners don’t have the knowledge to do what I had to do for my dad

  • iABehl Abhishek BEHL (@iABehl) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia I would like help / assistance in setting up my new account. I received 3 missed calls today from your sales team and when I did call back nothing productive happened. I have a severely disabled daughter and we need the new account to be activated as we have alot of…

  • lexo6647 Acky (@lexo6647) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia We have tried to problem solve ourselves and need help. A replacement box or an engineer, not a link to a forum. Do you have a link to a customer complaints department? Maybe I will get somewhere with them.

  • lexo6647 Acky (@lexo6647) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia as it was tiresome and he can’t get through to anyone. The same problem I had today. He has his phone, broadband and tv with you. His mobile as well I reckon. Having spent a good bit time today going through all the stuff on the phone to eventually be hung up on is infuriating

  • lexo6647 Acky (@lexo6647) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia been trying to get through to you. Finally got through to try and speak to a customer service and was cut off immediately when transferred from automated service to an actual person. Trying to sort out my 80 year old dads tv service. Awful service

  • bigtoodle Peter Tuffy (@bigtoodle) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia I can hear a band playing a tune but it will not be to my benefit. I phoned today about being overcharged obviously the call handler was so inept she cut me off rather than fix it. But she did get in the fact that this terrible service was going up by 20% next month.

  • bigtoodle Peter Tuffy (@bigtoodle) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia more problems with Virgin, their internet and phone service in EH 14 has had problems for two weeks, no refund for the loss of service though. I was cut off today after their call handler could not answer the simplest of questions on an overcharged bill.

  • bigtoodle Peter Tuffy (@bigtoodle) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia Well as usual you are not proactive to customers informing them of a lack of service. You instead are always reactive when someone complains and slow to compensate for loss of service. Your frequency of drop outs in service are held as secretive.

  • thefyvies David Fyvie (@thefyvies) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia It’s been horrific for the last 4-5 days although today is by far the worst.

  • JetteUk Jette Goldie ♿ 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣@wolfette@mastodon.social (@JetteUk) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia broadband in EH11 is up and down like a yo-yo. More down than up. (like my attempts with a yo-yo)

  • Kim6672012 Kim667 (@Kim6672012) reported from Kirkcaldy, Scotland

@virginmedia poor show @virgin media. Nothing works! Not even the app or your service status page.

  • gedi29 Ged O’Hara 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 (@gedi29) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia any update on the uk wide broadband issues??

  • wfastronomer Nicholas Cross (@wfastronomer) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@andrewducker I did have two rather stressful conversations with Virginmedia a couple of months back. In the first one they offered me a terrible offer and said it was the best and moving took ages. They did this in a slow way, always trying to divert the conversation. 1/

  • DarrenObbard Darren Obbard is on mastodon (@DarrenObbard) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia Yes. Yesterday. Which is why our phone doesn't work. No adapter, despite being assured it would be sent.

  • MacqueenHector Hector MacQueen (@MacqueenHector) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia, I have been trying to contact you for 3 weeks in order to cancel my TV contract. Email, phone, WhatsApp and your app all lead into frustrating brick walls. Kindly contact me, quickly.

  • ladyracer70 diandrick (@ladyracer70) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia Thanks for asking. An operator will call me back tomorrow, as it’s part of an ongoing three week saga. I’m so disappointed as I’ve been a loyal VM (originally Telewest) customer for around 30 years. Remaining hopeful 🙃

  • vcash78 victoria carolina (@vcash78) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

Finally something positive to say about @virginmedia following a call from Callum at the “executive team” providing the level of current service I would expect from a such a huge company! Perhaps the skills of good customer service need to be a CPD exercise for the call centres!

  • vcash78 victoria carolina (@vcash78) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia Very interesting as I was told £216.11 for each service (TV, BB, Phone). I asked is this a total of over £600 and she said, “yea mamm, that is correct”. My response was purely to laugh. This conversation has happed in the last 15 minutes. Absolutely despicable!

  • vcash78 victoria carolina (@vcash78) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia I am on the phone right now and like I’ve said. The service I am receiving is disgusting. 40 minutes call and to be told that in a #CostOfLivingCrisis you want £650+ to disconnect a service. Must’ve been robbers you merged with as this is criminal behaviour.

  • vcash78 victoria carolina (@vcash78) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

I was left without service for a week with multiple lies, promises of calls that didn’t happen and appalling customer service … you promise compensation of a month for free, the next you state £650 for disconnection. We are in a coat of living crisis you idiots! @virginmedia

Virgin Media Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • Thomas75A Tracey Thomas (@Thomas75A) reported

Why do @virginmedia make it impossible to contact them any way other than by their website or app when you have an Internet problem. Not everywhere has good mobile signal.

  • JammersMinde 🦖Leonora Christina 🦕 (@JammersMinde) reported

@EdmontonRoller @virginmedia @litfibre I was surprised after I signed up they told me that it wasn’t Virgin as I knew it anymore. It wasn’t cables, but I was told no change to their service. Then when it was installed the engineer informed me I couldn’t record anything either. I still thought it’ll be ok, but nope

  • JammersMinde 🦖Leonora Christina 🦕 (@JammersMinde) reported

@Virginmedia finally sent me a text at 13.04 today (13 hours later) to say there’s an outage, yet when I go to my account it says no issues in my area and I need an engineer. This happens every, single time I lose service. I was with @SkyUK for 2.5 years. Never had a problem!

  • csljohnkirby John Kirby (@csljohnkirby) reported

@virginmedia The system is sending me around in endless loops, every time I ask to speak to a customer agent, he say it need to check.

  • csljohnkirby John Kirby (@csljohnkirby) reported

@virginmedia Again, thank you, but I have now wasted enough time on it, and have made a formal complaint now. Have a nice weekend.

  • cpfc_taylor Taylor (@cpfc_taylor) reported

@virginmedia Worst internet provider in the uk

  • csljohnkirby John Kirby (@csljohnkirby) reported

@virginmedia Thank you for your kind offer, but it is not for public consumption here, nor should it take a post on social media to get even basic customer service from an organisation

  • csljohnkirby John Kirby (@csljohnkirby) reported

@virginmedia Stuck in an endless loops on the phone, just a useless customer service experience

  • csljohnkirby John Kirby (@csljohnkirby) reported

Seriously @virginmedia must be the worst communications company on the UK, trying to get through to speak to a human being, so far wasted over 1 hour 29 minutes through endless loops, options exhausted. They really do not care about customer services, so long as they can continue to rip off the consumer, constantly overcharging, never altering the package price or applying the discounts/compensation offered. @ofcom needs to look into this company. The level of Customer Service is appallingly low.

  • nieuwenhui2 Dr Paul Nieuwenhuis (@nieuwenhui2) reported

For over a week now @virginmedia has been unable to supply us with TV via its TV360 box. There is some stuff about outages on the internet, but attempts to contact them fail, of course. No doubt they still charge us for a service they do not provide 🙄.
