@virginmedia Very interesting as I was told £216.11 for each service (TV, BB, Phone). I asked is this a total of over £600 and she said, “yea mamm, that is correct”. My response was purely to laugh. This conversation has happed in the last 15 minutes. Absolutely despicable!

  • SobukweScozia
James Smith 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇮🇹🇿🇦 (@SobukweScozia) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia If I phone there is a message saying there is a complex fault. The online fault tracker says there isn’t. Hard really to understand what the problem is and when and how it will be fixed. Still no service at all. Not impressed.

  • vcash78
victoria carolina (@vcash78) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia Just said it would be back on by 1230. It’s not … paying a fortune (way above the odds!) a month for service I’m not getting. New contract with another provider incoming.

Acky (@lexo6647) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia been trying to get through to you. Finally got through to try and speak to a customer service and was cut off immediately when transferred from automated service to an actual person. Trying to sort out my 80 year old dads tv service. Awful service

  • PatMcCarthy37

@AndyHarrison123 @virginmedia Help desk pretty much admitted it. Said suspicious activity. No doubt me constantly changing my password. Suggested fix within 5-days. Said they would email me when done!!!! First noticed it about a week ago. Galling when you get the followup marketing text.

@virginmedia I’ve no internet, phone or tv in South Edinburgh - following intermittent internet for days. Your fault checker says there is no service fault yet your website does not allow me to book an engineer. Can you help?

  • thebarfly
The Bar Fly (@thebarfly) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia I also phoned to report on Thursday but was then told yesterday there was no record of that so must be lying. The customer service on the phone is truly atrocious. Your services are great when they work, your customer services the opposite.

  • PatMcCarthy37
Patrick McCarthy (@PatMcCarthy37) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia About 14 days ago I kept being asked to reset my password. On the 3rd or 4th occasion I was locked out. The first Help Desk person said 'suspicious activity' and escalated the problem. The second person said that the address was not associated with the primary account holder 1/2

  • bigtoodle
Peter Tuffy (@bigtoodle) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia at last, fixed at last, that’s only taken from the 20th Nov to the 28th of Dec to fix my home phone.

  • bigtoodle
Peter Tuffy (@bigtoodle) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia Yes I have phoned yet again this morning so I think your organisation are considering some sort of compensation for the five weeks I have been without the service. No doubt it will be a paltry sum in comparison to what I pay every month.

  • bankaudits1
Mike McNulty 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇪🇺🇺🇦✊ (@bankaudits1) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia I tried to get help but didn’t get through to anyone just a text sent to my mobile telling me how to fix it but no joy. Checked the forums and turns out I’m not alone and the upgrade is rubbish so just stuck it in the cupboard.. hopeless!

@lornagilmour_ @virginmedia @SkyUK How to make a complaint via phone. Call us on 150 from your Virgin Media landline or Virgin Mobile. Or 0345 454 1111* from any other phone. WONDER IF THIS WOULD WORK?

  • SobukweScozia

@virginmedia What complex issue? Can you explain what it is? Your service status says it’s fine. I have to wait a week for an engineer. Forgive me for being cynical.

Tired of paying for multiple subscriptions like Sky, BT Sport, Virgin Media, Now TV, Amazon Prime, Disney+, Apple TV+? I have got the solution. This IPTV @8k_ultra_IPTV6 offers: • 300,000+ live channels • 65,000+ VODs • PPV events • Netflix • 78,000+ movies

  • ads913
    keith addy (@ads913) reported

@virginmedia I understand they're introductory, but the gap is £51/month for the identical package. That's not a normal "new customer discount" that's a loyalty penalty. What can you actually offer me?

  • FrazzzYT

I guess @virginmedia hardware can't handle a little rain? No wonder they go down so much in Scotland -_-

  • SerenitySoloDev
    Serenity Solo Studios (@SerenitySoloDev) reported

Virgin Media may have the best broadband speeds for me, but lying salesmen and Virgins policies really has me thinking about cancelling during this cooldown period. I was told 1000mbps was the maximum speed here. I found out it was 2000mbps. I tried to change as I was unaware of this at the time, due to what the saleman told me, but they wanted to charge me £88 per month or so for the 2gb package when the 1gb only costs £33 per month. Even though the website says £55 per month for the 2gb package. I then asked about the upload spped matching the download speed. At first, I was told this was a different package, not an addon, so it would cost £88 per month in total. What? I then threatened to leave and rejoin with a new package as I was in the cooling off period. I was then told this was an addon for £6 per month. They can't change anything on my package though apparently. It now has to be sent to another team to check through this and I have to wait 5-10 days. This is the most confusing company I have ever dealt with. When joining Sky, I could change my package at any time and still be given the in contract discount. Sky may have slower speeds, but @Virgin have to have to the worst policies that kind of makes me regret changing over. If they say I still have to pay almost triple the cost, I may just take the loss of the broadband speed and move back over to Sky. Virgin are trying to rip me off as their sales representative who came to the door and sold me the package never gave the full information to me and said 1gb was their highest package they had for my area.

@adzflowers @virginmedia @VictorMeldrew77 I've been waiting nearly 4 months for them to sort my account, I still can't get into it. Every time I get told they will "escalate my case to IT support" and nothing happens. Amazing connection, non existent customer service.

Being messed up by @virginmedia. 1st we were never told the old box must be returned then they charge £90 for not returning it. Trying to get this sorted is such a hassle. You’re told one thing, nothing gets done then you’re told something else.
