  • ladyracer70
diandrick (@ladyracer70) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia Thanks for asking. An operator will call me back tomorrow, as it’s part of an ongoing three week saga. I’m so disappointed as I’ve been a loyal VM (originally Telewest) customer for around 30 years. Remaining hopeful 🙃

  • rykoonmesto7
Ryan (@rykoonmesto7) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia been down all morning, reset router and checked service status and everything online

  • bankaudits1
Mike McNulty 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇪🇺🇺🇦✊ (@bankaudits1) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia I tried to get help but didn’t get through to anyone just a text sent to my mobile telling me how to fix it but no joy. Checked the forums and turns out I’m not alone and the upgrade is rubbish so just stuck it in the cupboard.. hopeless!

  • thebarfly
The Bar Fly (@thebarfly) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia I also phoned to report on Thursday but was then told yesterday there was no record of that so must be lying. The customer service on the phone is truly atrocious. Your services are great when they work, your customer services the opposite.

@virginmedia Issues when you phone VM you are constantly transferred to different people cold transfer then if they put u on hold cut off .why is there no email or decent human web chat poor customer service I am still waiting to get complaints resolved

  • lexo6647
Acky (@lexo6647) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia been trying to get through to you. Finally got through to try and speak to a customer service and was cut off immediately when transferred from automated service to an actual person. Trying to sort out my 80 year old dads tv service. Awful service

Jette Goldie ♿ 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣@wolfette@mastodon.social (@JetteUk) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia broadband in EH11 is up and down like a yo-yo. More down than up. (like my attempts with a yo-yo)

  • louham74
Louise Hamilton (@louham74) reported from Grangemouth, Scotland

@virginmedia your customer service is shocking! A sure way to loose customers 🤬🤬🤬

  • vivhaig
Viv Haig (@vivhaig) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia Yes I’ve done all of that and my phone is saying ‘Check phone line’. My land line has been off since last Friday. Ever since it was swapped over to your fibre network and the new adapter fitted to the back of the router. I’m paying for a service I’m not receiving.

  • PatMcCarthy37
Patrick McCarthy (@PatMcCarthy37) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@AndyHarrison123 @virginmedia Help desk pretty much admitted it. Said suspicious activity. No doubt me constantly changing my password. Suggested fix within 5-days. Said they would email me when done!!!! First noticed it about a week ago. Galling when you get the followup marketing text.

  • MacqueenHector
Hector MacQueen (@MacqueenHector) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia, I have been trying to contact you for 3 weeks in order to cancel my TV contract. Email, phone, WhatsApp and your app all lead into frustrating brick walls. Kindly contact me, quickly.

  • trippfuller
trippfuller (@trippfuller) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia It's a bit offensive to send someone u cost significant income a link so they can get a fee bucks. If u just communicate sucking in advance those who count on service can arrange.

  • SobukweScozia
James Smith 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇮🇹🇿🇦 (@SobukweScozia) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia I have now had no service - internet, tv, phone - for 24 hours. It’s impossible to speak with someone about this. There is only a vague automated message about a ‘complicated problem’. How can I get this fixed? What are you doing to address this?

  • DarrenObbard
Darren Obbard is on mastodon (@DarrenObbard) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia Yes. Yesterday. Which is why our phone doesn't work. No adapter, despite being assured it would be sent.

  • philippawrightt
Philippa Wright (@philippawrightt) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia Read my tweet. I have been sent a “resolution” already. Which advised to return the box/speak to online chat if further issues. As I have pointed out multiple times I have already returned the box. This is absolutely infuriating at this point.

  • pumphysaysNO
Lord Galoot (@pumphysaysNO) reported from Broxburn, Scotland

@virginmedia i havent had tv for 5 days now, technician was meant to call yesterday or 8am this morning, no call, any chance of getting a service i pay for

  • etjorgensen
upgrade completed (@etjorgensen) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

That's virgin media back down to £30 a month from £53, all because of one call. If energy prices are going up just tell everyone you can't afford them any more and they'll soon offer a discount!

  • ScottBrownridge
Scott Brownridge (@ScottBrownridge) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia any idea why my internet keeps dropping off. No issues that I can see in the area. Been doing it for two days now.

  • philippawrightt
Philippa Wright (@philippawrightt) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia Sorry? Like my formal complaint - I’m unsure if you have read my tweet? I bought a box and returned the WiFi myself. Ombudsman time?

  • effiefenton
Effie Fenton (@effiefenton) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia With respect, that just takes you to a forum on your own website to tuck this away out of public view. I'll let you know here if I get any response. Emergency response phone lines should be treated as a priority by all telecoms companies.

  • xhatne
    mmhmm (@xhatne) reported

@Johnty14 @virginmedia Easy solution here, someone should invent a method to get the leaflet through the door, so it ends up in the house, but passers by can't see it so it isn't obvious that nobody is home.

  • Northvein
    Steve (@Northvein) reported

@virginmedia hi … looks like you have an outage in LS25 (Garforth, Leeds) :(

  • AlexparkerI

  • DamianHastie
    Damian Hastie (@DamianHastie) reported

@virginmedia do you want help with your customer service bot? It would appear that you must be losing a lot of revenue with current setup. I could improve your service quickly & make a significant increase on your bottom line. I need 2 additional boxes, can't add to my account!

@alan_reddish @virginmedia Day 34 here. And no proper answers such as whether any engineers have actually been out to try to fix things. Just stock answers from the @virginmedia script.
