-
Patrick McCarthy (@PatMcCarthy37) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia I have still not heard from you other than to be told that the email account I can no longer access, is not associated with the account we've had with you for 25 years. Am I supposed to just accept this? How do I escalate a complaint?
-
Fergus Wright (@fergus_wright) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@Will_Jeffs @virginmedia Tbf ive had problems with my wifi for the last few days, what i done was unplug everything then wait a couple of mins then plug it all back in again then it was fine.
-
Peter Tuffy (@bigtoodle) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia I can hear a band playing a tune but it will not be to my benefit. I phoned today about being overcharged obviously the call handler was so inept she cut me off rather than fix it. But she did get in the fact that this terrible service was going up by 20% next month.
-
Alli (@Alli3Fifer) reported from Kirkcaldy, Scotland@virginmedia Quite simply No. They are in mid 70s and tbh we just need the issue fixed. Mum is awaiting a call from the hospital & is concerned and stressed they won’t be able to get her as she hasn’t had use of the number she is has had since 1989 for over a week!! My Dad is just stressed
-
seldomseenkid (@seldomseenkid) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@vmbusiness @virginmedia @virginmedianews Why is your service so unreliable? Are we expected to pay for a service that doesn’t work?
-
Patrick McCarthy (@PatMcCarthy37) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia I managed to find a phone number to call you. The message 'don't contact us unless you need to' isn't great is it! Follow up text asks me to rate VM on the basis of my interaction. Not fair is it. Not the help desk fault if everything else is so bad.
-
seldomseenkid (@seldomseenkid) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia internet down. Again. Why?
-
Peter Tuffy (@bigtoodle) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia Well as usual you are not proactive to customers informing them of a lack of service. You instead are always reactive when someone complains and slow to compensate for loss of service. Your frequency of drop outs in service are held as secretive.

bruce findlay 🟢 power to the people 🇺🇦✌ (@brucerisk) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia Thank you, but, hey...they didn't fool me...just thought you should know and maybe warn others. I've had 'it' before but fortunately never been 'taken in'.
-
upgrade completed (@etjorgensen) reported from Edinburgh, ScotlandThat's virgin media back down to £30 a month from £53, all because of one call. If energy prices are going up just tell everyone you can't afford them any more and they'll soon offer a discount!

Degsy (@DegsyScott) reported from Grangemouth, ScotlandGreat… working from home and @virginmedia broadband goes down again. It’s become very erratic service in the last 12 months… what the hell as we paying premium prices for fast fibre if it can’t be reliable… with more price rises ahead
-
victoria carolina (@vcash78) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia I am on the phone right now and like I’ve said. The service I am receiving is disgusting. 40 minutes call and to be told that in a #CostOfLivingCrisis you want £650+ to disconnect a service. Must’ve been robbers you merged with as this is criminal behaviour.
-
Scottish (@Scottish720) reported from Skinflats, Scotland@virginmedia I don’t know how you can send out a letter that says our prices are going up but won’t effect you till the end of the of your current price fix /contact then we called up to enquire about it to find out it would actually go up in may absolutely ridiculous
-
Tullia (@thelifeoftul) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@ScottM083 @virginmedia If that’s the case then Virgin need to communicate this to their customers as the lack of communication is doing more damage than the lack of wifi at this point! 🙈
-
Nicola❤️🏳️🌈❤️ (@pixiecat5) reported from Cowdenbeath, Scotland@virginmedia no internet for 4 days now. Outage reported Fri. No updates other than the resolution date moving every day. Alli (@Alli3Fifer) reported from Kirkcaldy, Scotland@virginmedia Spent another 75 mins on the phone & managed to get a technician out this afternoon. The technician confirmed it is a known fault with the hub 5 and knew without testing what the issue was. The fault has no fix and my vulnerable parents are still left without the phone service.
-

Virgin Media Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
NewsTongue (@NewsTongueX) reported🔴 Ofcom fines Virgin Media £28m for blocking customer cancellations Virgin Media breached UK telecoms rules by deliberately dropping calls, transferring customers unnecessarily, and placing them on hold to prevent contract cancellations between January 2022 and September 2024. Ofcom received nearly 2,000 complaints and found the company's retention agents operated under a commission scheme that financially rewarded obstruction. • Fine of £28m — Ofcom's largest ever under consumer protection rules, reduced 30% after Virgin Media admitted fault and agreed to settle • Millions of calls "likely mishandled" during the three-year period
-
Coaster Addict (@Andrew_TRP) reported@MoneySavingExp I’ll never use Virgin Media again. Moved house in 2024 when I was out of contract, they put me on a new 18 months contract without telling me. No email, no letter. Complaints come to nothing. Terrible company.
-
Stacy Mitchell (@StacyMitchell2) reported@virginmedia what’s with your broadband in South Bristol. It’s been slow as hell for a week and off completely for 2 days now. As soon as this contract’s up I’m going to sky
-
Iran,Houth,Hez,Hams & Sky/BBC Lies#NeverAgainIsNow (@UFinlay33392) reportedVirgin media Fined 28 million for tryjng to prevent customers leaving. No wonder people are sick of their **** service
-
Deano... (@Frugal_ways) reported@benjaminlfc @O2 @virginmedia It's always the private browser software they fail on. Always states, "Access denied to this page" yet the options button asks me if, "I want to log out?" Funny that...
-
Shelton (@CBTwizard) reportedGood @Ofcom 28 million fined to the parasites that are Virgin Media. Good. I have been victim to this horrible pass on pass on (6+ hours on the phone) department to department and back to start again, as well as a 2 year new contract without my consent (early termination £500 being chased for, after 2000+ disconnections in a month, email proof, text proof, delayed line fixes) list goes on. Parasites, charging elderly people £70+ for like 100mb Maybe @MartinSLewis applied some well deserved pressure. If I'm not mistaken @dshensmith had issues too.
-
Mark Rock (@markdrock) reported@virginmedia to sign in to my virgin media everymonth i have to go through that account link utter shite it tells me i need to log into my old email address @blueyonder yet when i try to log into emails it takes me back to the log in I CANT GET INTO ANYTHING. ******* **** COMPANY
-
Elaine Walsh (@mabaker_moz) reported@virginmedia I rang your service number and there is an issue in the area
-
inthezone (@inthezoneuk) reportedIf you’re with Virgin Media and have had issues, I would leave them if you have the option. A company that treats its customers like this, doesn’t deserve customers. This starts from the top of Virgin media. Will @richardbranson allow his brand to be trashed like this? Or does he not care anymore?
-
harley ˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶ (@whisperwoIf) reportedvirgin media, you are soooooooo lucky i haven’t smashed up your headquarters because WHY IS MY WIFI DOWN AGAIN GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH
