  • seldomseenkid seldomseenkid (@seldomseenkid) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@vmbusiness @virginmedia @virginmedianews Why is your service so unreliable? Are we expected to pay for a service that doesn’t work?

  • PatMcCarthy37 Patrick McCarthy (@PatMcCarthy37) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia Neither of these things have happened. The last person on the help desk that I spoke to denied that the account was associated with my VM account and did not want to talk to me. Nothing happens when the Help Desk can't sort it themselves Please deal with this.

  • dreamingisfree Laura Barbour (@dreamingisfree) reported from Bo’ness, Scotland

service agent who tells me an appointment is scheduled for the 15th November. Shall I laugh or scream? 7 weeks with no WiFi? @virginmedia (2)

  • welshref Paul Collier (@welshref) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia how the hell do I get any sense from you guys? Eight days spent just trying to get an account sorted 🤬 your customer service is non-existent

  • Alli3Fifer Alli (@Alli3Fifer) reported from Kirkcaldy, Scotland

@virginmedia Spent another 75 mins on the phone & managed to get a technician out this afternoon. The technician confirmed it is a known fault with the hub 5 and knew without testing what the issue was. The fault has no fix and my vulnerable parents are still left without the phone service.

  • dreamingisfree Laura Barbour (@dreamingisfree) reported from Bo’ness, Scotland

@virginmedia It is now almost four weeks since I have had broadband. The technician who came out 11 days ago assured me the “dig team” would be out in the next day or two. Having now spent approximately 738 hours trying to contact you, I have finally spoken to a customer (1)

  • DegsyScott Derek Scott (@DegsyScott) reported from Grangemouth, Scotland

@benjitindz @virginmedia To be fair, the speed is the best option and I’m on 250mbps whereas the best I’d get on ADSL is 10-34mbps. Agreed, customer service is worse than a RyanAir equivalent

  • PatMcCarthy37 Patrick McCarthy (@PatMcCarthy37) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@AndyHarrison123 @virginmedia Help desk pretty much admitted it. Said suspicious activity. No doubt me constantly changing my password. Suggested fix within 5-days. Said they would email me when done!!!! First noticed it about a week ago. Galling when you get the followup marketing text.

  • Alli3Fifer Alli (@Alli3Fifer) reported from Kirkcaldy, Scotland

@virginmedia Quite simply No. They are in mid 70s and tbh we just need the issue fixed. Mum is awaiting a call from the hospital & is concerned and stressed they won’t be able to get her as she hasn’t had use of the number she is has had since 1989 for over a week!! My Dad is just stressed

  • marktaylor73 Mark Taylor (@marktaylor73) reported from Bathgate, Scotland

@virginmedia twice now appointment for line pull has been scheduled and twice now there’s been no engineer. Move of service to new house required , now being told 10th November, not acceptable.

  • pixiecat5 Nicola❤️🏳️‍🌈❤️ (@pixiecat5) reported from Cowdenbeath, Scotland

@virginmedia no internet for 4 days now. Outage reported Fri. No updates other than the resolution date moving every day. No text updates as promised. @FifeCouncil you have cut the cable whilst replacing Streetlighting. Contact me please. I cannot work hence can't earn anything

  • vcash78 victoria carolina (@vcash78) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia what’s going on. No service alllllll day in EH14 area?! Working from home impossible today … great service!

  • effiefenton Effie Fenton (@effiefenton) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia my daughter has finally got a new home in supported accommodation but can't move in until a telephone line is connected so her carers have access to a 24/7 phone. The earliest appointment is currently a month away. Can you help us so she can start her new life?

  • effiefenton Effie Fenton (@effiefenton) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia it would be a great idea if you could save priority installation slots for those in greatest need, like those with disabilities who need a phone line installed for a telecare service. So they don't have to wait a month. Just a thought.

  • PatMcCarthy37 Patrick McCarthy (@PatMcCarthy37) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia What is going on with your email service? You don't recognise my password causing me to keep changing it and now you've locked me out and stopped me doing that. Awful service.

  • effiefenton Effie Fenton (@effiefenton) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia With respect, that just takes you to a forum on your own website to tuck this away out of public view. I'll let you know here if I get any response. Emergency response phone lines should be treated as a priority by all telecoms companies.

  • Alli3Fifer Alli (@Alli3Fifer) reported from Kirkcaldy, Scotland

@virginmedia It will be interesting to know what ofcoms view is of virgin continuing to sell a service that has been known not to be working since at least Oct. Is it not an option to go back to a standard phone line rather than VOIP for vulnerable customers??

  • PatMcCarthy37 Patrick McCarthy (@PatMcCarthy37) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia About 14 days ago I kept being asked to reset my password. On the 3rd or 4th occasion I was locked out. The first Help Desk person said 'suspicious activity' and escalated the problem. The second person said that the address was not associated with the primary account holder 1/2

  • PatMcCarthy37 Patrick McCarthy (@PatMcCarthy37) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia I have still not heard from you other than to be told that the email account I can no longer access, is not associated with the account we've had with you for 25 years. Am I supposed to just accept this? How do I escalate a complaint?

@virginmedia Unfortunately I am at work but I can try, can you confirm something for me.. the 3rd agent I spoke to said my husband could take out a new contract in his name and I cancel mine, is this correct?

  • JNH77 James Harrison (@JNH77) reported

@virginmedia I’ve raised a complaint and got an embarrassing response with a £5 credit. Made me even more angry. If I don’t get a call back from a manager tonight I’m cancelling my direct debit.

  • cludgie78 Mark Rainford (@cludgie78) reported

@virginmedia Trying it a second time, got a bit further But it’s not accepted the password. How do we get around this? I’m upset with the customer support and service, I honestly now want to leave this service.

  • squeakytoy Steven Peterson 🏳️‍🌈 (@squeakytoy) reported

@virginmedia They never called. Now what?

  • cludgie78 Mark Rainford (@cludgie78) reported

@virginmedia Thanks, they talked of a pin hole reset, but the details weren’t clear, do you have info on this? And is it really £25 for a technician appointment? It’s been a week of problems. - cheers.
