@virginmedia hi I’m aware there’s a calling issue just now on Virgin Mobile but I was wondering how to get an upgraded 5G SIM on ultimate Oomph as the one we have is only allowing 4G.

@virginmedia If I phone there is a message saying there is a complex fault. The online fault tracker says there isn’t. Hard really to understand what the problem is and when and how it will be fixed. Still no service at all. Not impressed.

I've had rude calls with some staff, spent over £9 on calls to @TravelodgeUK to get this refunded for the charity, their customer service emailed saying that even though two of their staff & virgin media said I should get a refund that they are not going to refund. #badservice

@virginmedia What is going on with your email service? You don't recognise my password causing me to keep changing it and now you've locked me out and stopped me doing that. Awful service.

@andrewducker I did have two rather stressful conversations with Virginmedia a couple of months back. In the first one they offered me a terrible offer and said it was the best and moving took ages. They did this in a slow way, always trying to divert the conversation. 1/

Cost of living advice - IF Virgin Media ask for a big price hike tell them you are going elsewhere but will stay for the same price as a new customer would pay. It takes a while but saved £800 (over 18 months) today and will get more for same price/no increase @MoneySavingExp

    Wolf of X (@WolfofX) reported

In 2003, Stan Beaton lost his wife Ruby to cancer. But there was one small piece of her he could still hold onto. Her voice. Ruby had recorded the outgoing voicemail greeting on their home phone around 2001. After she died, Stan deliberately kept it. In the difficult years that followed, whenever he was feeling particularly low, he could pick up the phone and hear her voice again. He even avoided changing phone providers because he was afraid the recording might disappear. Then, in December 2014, it did. Technical work involving Virgin Media's voicemail system caused Ruby's recording to vanish. Stan was devastated. After protecting it for more than a decade, he believed the sound of his wife's voice was gone for good. When Virgin Media learned what the recording meant to him, a team of engineers began searching through their systems. They initially thought the chances of recovering it were extremely small. They searched for three days. Then they found it. In January 2015, BBC Radio Leeds was there as Stan heard the recovered recording for the first time. The moment Ruby's voice came through, he recognized her immediately. "That's her." Stan broke down in tears. He later described hearing her again as a "wonderful, wonderful sound." Virgin Media also gave him a permanent copy of the recording, so he would never have to rely on the voicemail system to keep it safe again. Ruby had recorded nothing extraordinary. It was simply an everyday greeting for their home telephone. Fourteen years later, that ordinary little recording had become something Stan thought he would never hear again.
