-
Laura Barbour (@dreamingisfree) reported from Bo’ness, Scotland@virginmedia It is now almost four weeks since I have had broadband. The technician who came out 11 days ago assured me the “dig team” would be out in the next day or two. Having now spent approximately 738 hours trying to contact you, I have finally spoken to a customer (1)
-
Degsy (@DegsyScott) reported from Grangemouth, ScotlandGreat… working from home and @virginmedia broadband goes down again. It’s become very erratic service in the last 12 months… what the hell as we paying premium prices for fast fibre if it can’t be reliable… with more price rises ahead

James Smith 🏴🇮🇹🇿🇦 (@SobukweScozia) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia If I phone there is a message saying there is a complex fault. The online fault tracker says there isn’t. Hard really to understand what the problem is and when and how it will be fixed. Still no service at all. Not impressed.
-
Peter Tuffy (@bigtoodle) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia at last, fixed at last, that’s only taken from the 20th Nov to the 28th of Dec to fix my home phone.
-
Patrick McCarthy (@PatMcCarthy37) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia I managed to find a phone number to call you. The message 'don't contact us unless you need to' isn't great is it! Follow up text asks me to rate VM on the basis of my interaction. Not fair is it. Not the help desk fault if everything else is so bad.
-
Patrick McCarthy (@PatMcCarthy37) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@AndyHarrison123 @virginmedia Help desk pretty much admitted it. Said suspicious activity. No doubt me constantly changing my password. Suggested fix within 5-days. Said they would email me when done!!!! First noticed it about a week ago. Galling when you get the followup marketing text.
-
Lord Galoot (@pumphysaysNO) reported from Broxburn, Scotland@virginmedia i havent had tv for 5 days now, technician was meant to call yesterday or 8am this morning, no call, any chance of getting a service i pay for
-
The Bar Fly (@thebarfly) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia And the scheduled engineer call tomorrow got cancelled because of this unrelated and later supposed outage. It’s a farce.
-
Derek Scott (@DegsyScott) reported from Grangemouth, Scotland@benjitindz @virginmedia To be fair, the speed is the best option and I’m on 250mbps whereas the best I’d get on ADSL is 10-34mbps. Agreed, customer service is worse than a RyanAir equivalent
-
Jill Scorer (@JillScorer1) reported from Dalgety Bay, Scotland@lornagilmour_ @virginmedia @SkyUK How to make a complaint via phone. Call us on 150 from your Virgin Media landline or Virgin Mobile. Or 0345 454 1111* from any other phone. WONDER IF THIS WOULD WORK?
-
James Smith 🏴🇮🇹🇿🇦 (@SobukweScozia) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia What complex issue? Can you explain what it is? Your service status says it’s fine. I have to wait a week for an engineer. Forgive me for being cynical.
-
Les Rey .Erso Meero Live in the city of Light (@amypond4ever) reported from Glenrothes, Scotland@virginmedia IAM tweeting you for the third time today why is You tube on my Search and Discover not working?! I'll tweet you every day for an Answer about This we pay for this why is it Not working????!!
-
Lesley Neilan (@lesley_neilan) reported from Edinburgh, ScotlandHi @virginmedia I am trying unsuccessfully to contact you about my current contract. I don’t have WhatsApp and your online help link doesn’t help. My old fashioned ‘telephone’ call ended with ‘there was a fault’. Are there any humans around?
-
Peter Tuffy (@bigtoodle) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia Yes I have phoned yet again this morning so I think your organisation are considering some sort of compensation for the five weeks I have been without the service. No doubt it will be a paltry sum in comparison to what I pay every month.
-
Peter Tuffy (@bigtoodle) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia Well as usual you are not proactive to customers informing them of a lack of service. You instead are always reactive when someone complains and slow to compensate for loss of service. Your frequency of drop outs in service are held as secretive.
-
Neil Sneddon (@EdinburghNJS) reported from Edinburgh, ScotlandGot to say. Been a customer of @virginmedia since Dec 10th 1999. First problem I've ever had this week, and service, ability to contact and understanding of my problem is absolutely woeful. Luckily still in cooling off period for new deal. Dreadful.
-
diandrick (@ladyracer70) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia Thanks for asking. An operator will call me back tomorrow, as it’s part of an ongoing three week saga. I’m so disappointed as I’ve been a loyal VM (originally Telewest) customer for around 30 years. Remaining hopeful 🙃
-
Judith Boyle (@JudithBoyle3) reported from Livingston, Scotland@virginmedia A better service from virgin media
Virgin Media Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Stephen Maddock (@stephenm68) reportedDay 35 of absolutely no services from @virginmedia and no useful information about when/if the outage in our area will ever get fixed. Let’s hope that @guardian Consumer Champions will look into this - I’ve just written to them. @Ofcom
-
Ian Kill (@IanKillip) reported@MelJanie @virginmedia I’ve never had a problem that’s not been sorted quickly and conveniently.
-
Sekret Machines (@privatepilotuk) reportedand still @o2 have done nothing about this disaster of a sign in process with @virginmedia Fire your developers. #Clueless
-
Frankie Smith (@frankiesmith74) reported@virginmedia please can someone phone me urgently to deal with the entirely unacceptable service I am receiving from your home mover team. A failed installation on Wednesday and no engineers turning up yesterday or today despite being promised! I can’t get through on the phone
-
John Munro (@Munro78) reported@virginmedia Got an email saying my contract expires soon. Taking my payments from £73.50 to £137.50 - I can’t seem to find any new deals that would bring my payments down to what my original contract was. Unless I become a new member and you charge £49.99. This can’t be right?
-
mmhmm (@xhatne) reported@Johnty14 @virginmedia Easy solution here, someone should invent a method to get the leaflet through the door, so it ends up in the house, but passers by can't see it so it isn't obvious that nobody is home.
-
Colin (@Colinmc7t) reported@virginmedia Yeah yeah yeah absolutely useless service
-
Monty Kumbulla (@KumbullaMonty) reported@virginmedia What are the chances of a very-light-use customer that has been with you for THIRTY YEARS getting a deal at the same cost as a brand new customer?
-
Robert Grieve (@robert_grieve) reportedTrying to upgrade my TV package with @virginmedia yet can’t get through to speak to someone. Gave up after being on hold for an hour. Appalling customer experience 🤯📺
-
Torexeon (@Torexeon) reported@wrighty1707 @virginmedia It was me who suggested this when I worked for them. I designed it to get you on the phone to retentions, because a huge percentage of customers would just sit out of contract or complain online about astronomical pricing. Granted not every customer is able to get a decent deal.
