I was left without service for a week with multiple lies, promises of calls that didn’t happen and appalling customer service … you promise compensation of a month for free, the next you state £650 for disconnection. We are in a coat of living crisis you idiots! @virginmedia

@virginmedia Sorry? Like my formal complaint - I’m unsure if you have read my tweet? I bought a box and returned the WiFi myself. Ombudsman time?

@virginmedia I tried to get help but didn’t get through to anyone just a text sent to my mobile telling me how to fix it but no joy. Checked the forums and turns out I’m not alone and the upgrade is rubbish so just stuck it in the cupboard.. hopeless!

@virginmedia Except I can’t because I get fobbed off and they just try to get me to upgrade my package. Seriously. I’d just like to know if there is some systemic complex issue, as you suggest, or not.

@virginmedia Just said it would be back on by 1230. It’s not … paying a fortune (way above the odds!) a month for service I’m not getting. New contract with another provider incoming.

@virginmedia Got a message after power outage in Edinburgh yesterday that Virgin Services had been restored - internet is okay but ‘phone line off. Is this a known issue, EH16

@virginmedia Yes I have phoned yet again this morning so I think your organisation are considering some sort of compensation for the five weeks I have been without the service. No doubt it will be a paltry sum in comparison to what I pay every month.

@virginmedia yes well after waiting in for five hours yesterday for an engineer to come I was just told it had been rearranged for the 28th. The great pity is they never informed me to find out if that was OK, such gross inefficiency abounds within your organisation.

@virginmedia Read my tweet. I have been sent a “resolution” already. Which advised to return the box/speak to online chat if further issues. As I have pointed out multiple times I have already returned the box. This is absolutely infuriating at this point.

@virginmedia I managed to find a phone number to call you. The message 'don't contact us unless you need to' isn't great is it! Follow up text asks me to rate VM on the basis of my interaction. Not fair is it. Not the help desk fault if everything else is so bad.

@virginmedia Since yesterday afternoon. I was working so not entirely sure but approx 24 hours. £160 a month to be without even “free” channels. I am aware nothing is without fault but the poor customer service and lack of ability to locate/tell us what the issue is, is appalling.

@virginmedia I am on the phone right now and like I’ve said. The service I am receiving is disgusting. 40 minutes call and to be told that in a #CostOfLivingCrisis you want £650+ to disconnect a service. Must’ve been robbers you merged with as this is criminal behaviour.

@virginmedia The phone is not working and your engineer was arranged to call today between 1.00 and 6.00pm needless to say he did not arrive or give me a call to arrange another day.

@virginmedia What complex issue? Can you explain what it is? Your service status says it’s fine. I have to wait a week for an engineer. Forgive me for being cynical.

Trying to downgrade/cancel your @virginmedia is made harder than it ought to be! Perhaps of your customer service was better then I wouldn’t have made this request after all these years. Diabolical and shoddy! There was a time when I’d have only recommended them over competitors!

@virginmedia do you actually read formal complaints or are they just automated responses too?! For the second time the response does not answer the complaint at all?

@virginmedia existing customer and did a renewal on TV, net and phone line end of October 2020, reduced total monthly bill - had an email to say there'll be a £3.50 increase from march 2021. I'm sure I've read deals after 20th June or something are unaffected. Please fix this.

@virginmedia can you let me know the phone number for disabled / visually impaired customer helpline please?
-
Rob
(@Robert_Ze_Bruce) reported
@virginmedia why is it I can ring your sales team and get through in minutes, but when I use your messaging service about an overcharge, I wait 6 hours for one reply and never hear from them again? 3 days of trying with no resolution.
-
Darren Borrow
(@dborrow88) reported
@TomoTheTechie @jukeyz Virgin Media will have a duty of care to him as a customer. I'd recommend probably moving from a consumer line to a business line in order to get them to take the issue more seriously due to the amount of times this is happening, if they cannot help then move ISPs to 1 that will

@virginmedia "the team" didn't mention, this was an the BOT that responds when you call. Unless that's what you mean by team. Yup, guess noone is going to pick up tonight after 3.5 hrs. Really really displeased with the service
