Acky (@lexo6647) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia the problem is now being dealt with and will need repair. Thanks for the help again although it shouldn’t be so difficult. Pensioners don’t have the knowledge to do what I had to do for my dad
-
Acky (@lexo6647) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia We have tried to problem solve ourselves and need help. A replacement box or an engineer, not a link to a forum. Do you have a link to a customer complaints department? Maybe I will get somewhere with them.
-
Effie Fenton (@effiefenton) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia With respect, that just takes you to a forum on your own website to tuck this away out of public view. I'll let you know here if I get any response. Emergency response phone lines should be treated as a priority by all telecoms companies.
-
Patrick McCarthy (@PatMcCarthy37) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@AndyHarrison123 @virginmedia Help desk pretty much admitted it. Said suspicious activity. No doubt me constantly changing my password. Suggested fix within 5-days. Said they would email me when done!!!! First noticed it about a week ago. Galling when you get the followup marketing text.

Lesley Neilan (@lesley_neilan) reported from Edinburgh, ScotlandHi @virginmedia I am trying unsuccessfully to contact you about my current contract. I don’t have WhatsApp and your online help link doesn’t help. My old fashioned ‘telephone’ call ended with ‘there was a fault’. Are there any humans around?
-
Acky (@lexo6647) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia been trying to get through to you. Finally got through to try and speak to a customer service and was cut off immediately when transferred from automated service to an actual person. Trying to sort out my 80 year old dads tv service. Awful service
-
Peter Tuffy (@bigtoodle) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia more problems with Virgin, their internet and phone service in EH 14 has had problems for two weeks, no refund for the loss of service though. I was cut off today after their call handler could not answer the simplest of questions on an overcharged bill.
-
Philippa Wright (@philippawrightt) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia Read my tweet. I have been sent a “resolution” already. Which advised to return the box/speak to online chat if further issues. As I have pointed out multiple times I have already returned the box. This is absolutely infuriating at this point.

-
trippfuller (@trippfuller) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia It's a bit offensive to send someone u cost significant income a link so they can get a fee bucks. If u just communicate sucking in advance those who count on service can arrange.

victoria carolina (@vcash78) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia Since yesterday afternoon. I was working so not entirely sure but approx 24 hours. £160 a month to be without even “free” channels. I am aware nothing is without fault but the poor customer service and lack of ability to locate/tell us what the issue is, is appalling.
-
Philippa Wright (@philippawrightt) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia do you actually read formal complaints or are they just automated responses too?! For the second time the response does not answer the complaint at all?

🇬🇧🔥 FIRE is awesome 😎 (@GrahamCompton) reported@CompoundingISA @MartinSLewis @ao Such short sighted customer service experience. I's like dealing with Virgin Media 10 years ago. I had to tell them 2-3 times that yes, I really did want to cancel. Thankfully, I was only on hold for a few minutes.
-
🇬🇧🏴Big Bad Wolf🏴🇬🇧 (@BigBadWolf137) reported@trapdoor456 @virginmedia I tried, after 3 months of bullshit, it was brought into my house behind my fryer as this was and i quote ' the only place it can go' They may have sorted themselves out by now but I have heard mixed reviews so make sure to have the option to cancel
-
Dan (@dannog_8) reportedRemind me again why I pay Virgin Media monthly for a service that works whenever it feels like it?

Wolf of X (@WolfofX) reportedIn 2003, Stan Beaton lost his wife, Ruby, to stomach cancer. Before she passed away, she had recorded the voicemail greeting for their home telephone. It was an ordinary message to anyone else, but to Stan it became the last recording of her voice. For more than a decade, he kept that voicemail safe. He even stayed with the same phone company because he feared changing providers might erase it. Whenever he missed Ruby, he would call his own home just to hear her say, "Sorry, at the moment, Stan and Ruby are not available..." For him, those few seconds were enough to bring her close again. Then, in December 2014, a network upgrade accidentally deleted the recording. Stan was heartbroken. He later said it felt like losing his wife all over again. Believing there was nothing left to lose, he contacted Virgin Media and asked if there was any way to recover it. What followed was something no one expected. Eleven telecommunications engineers spent three days searching through backup systems for a single deleted audio file. They described it as looking for a needle in a haystack, but they refused to give up. They found it. Instead of simply returning the recording, BBC Radio Leeds arranged a surprise during an interview with Stan. As Ruby's familiar voice filled the room once again, he broke down in tears. "That's her. Wonderful. Wonderful." The company later gave Stan permanent copies of the recording on a CD so he would never have to fear losing it again. It wasn't just a recovered voicemail. It was the return of the last words he could still hear from the woman he loved, a voice that had waited silently for years until someone cared enough to bring it back.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ (@WraggyTheGamer) reported@virginmedia reliability has dramatically dropped recently. In the 8 years of being with them we have never had any outages at all, However, the last 3 month, it's pretty much going down every single day I think I need to look at other internet providers
-
Jim Bauld (@jimbauld) reported@virginmedia At £16 for a rental it shouldn’t even be a question … never mind “understanding” and “appreciating” …. Get it sorted 😡
-

Jan (@geminicat7) reported🛜 I’m safely back from the dentist’s 😷 (only a 6 monthly check-up and all was well) but now our internet is down and not likely to be resolved until 17:30! @virginmedia 👋 I can’t afford to use up all my mobile data chatting on social media so I’ll see you when if it’s sorted!

David Howard (@Geordie_Radgie) reported@MoneySavingExp I'm in favour of more control (virgin media constantly stiffing me...), but define "inflation". You also need to factor in how the costs - for the specific business and product - are increasing. It would help if govt. didn't keep finding new ways of driving costs up, also.
