Virgin Media Issues Reports Near Dunfermline, Scotland
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Dunfermline and nearby locations:
-
Peter Tuffy (@bigtoodle) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia Well as usual you are not proactive to customers informing them of a lack of service. You instead are always reactive when someone complains and slow to compensate for loss of service. Your frequency of drop outs in service are held as secretive.
-
Patrick McCarthy (@PatMcCarthy37) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia I have still not heard from you other than to be told that the email account I can no longer access, is not associated with the account we've had with you for 25 years. Am I supposed to just accept this? How do I escalate a complaint?
-
Scottish (@Scottish720) reported from Skinflats, Scotland@virginmedia I don’t know how you can send out a letter that says our prices are going up but won’t effect you till the end of the of your current price fix /contact then we called up to enquire about it to find out it would actually go up in may absolutely ridiculous
-
The Bar Fly (@thebarfly) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia I also phoned to report on Thursday but was then told yesterday there was no record of that so must be lying. The customer service on the phone is truly atrocious. Your services are great when they work, your customer services the opposite.
-
Degsy (@DegsyScott) reported from Grangemouth, ScotlandGreat… working from home and @virginmedia broadband goes down again. It’s become very erratic service in the last 12 months… what the hell as we paying premium prices for fast fibre if it can’t be reliable… with more price rises ahead
-
victoria carolina (@vcash78) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia I am on the phone right now and like I’ve said. The service I am receiving is disgusting. 40 minutes call and to be told that in a #CostOfLivingCrisis you want £650+ to disconnect a service. Must’ve been robbers you merged with as this is criminal behaviour.
-
Louise Hamilton (@louham74) reported from Grangemouth, Scotland@virginmedia I just phoned again and was told they cannot order for me. So close to just cancelling this shoddy service 🤬
-
seldomseenkid (@seldomseenkid) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@vmbusiness Down for the second time in a week. Poor
-
Nicholas Cross (@wfastronomer) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@andrewducker I did have two rather stressful conversations with Virginmedia a couple of months back. In the first one they offered me a terrible offer and said it was the best and moving took ages. They did this in a slow way, always trying to divert the conversation. 1/

Patrick McCarthy (@PatMcCarthy37) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia What is going on with your email service? You don't recognise my password causing me to keep changing it and now you've locked me out and stopped me doing that. Awful service.
-
upgrade completed (@etjorgensen) reported from Edinburgh, ScotlandThat's virgin media back down to £30 a month from £53, all because of one call. If energy prices are going up just tell everyone you can't afford them any more and they'll soon offer a discount!
-
Patrick McCarthy (@PatMcCarthy37) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia Neither of these things have happened. The last person on the help desk that I spoke to denied that the account was associated with my VM account and did not want to talk to me. Nothing happens when the Help Desk can't sort it themselves Please deal with this.
-
James Smith 🏴🇮🇹🇿🇦 (@SobukweScozia) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia BTW. It’s not an ‘intermittent’ issue - I’ve had no service at all for 18 hours, and what exactly does ‘taking us a little longer than usual’ to fix actually mean?
-
-
Shirley Monteith (@lethalshirl) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia I am going round in circles trying to speak to someone or email you with problems I’m having with broadband & TV! Your system keeps knocking me back - I just want help! #frustratededinburgh
-
Peter Tuffy (@bigtoodle) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia yes well after waiting in for five hours yesterday for an engineer to come I was just told it had been rearranged for the 28th. The great pity is they never informed me to find out if that was OK, such gross inefficiency abounds within your organisation.
-
Darren Obbard is on mastodon (@DarrenObbard) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia Yes. Yesterday. Which is why our phone doesn't work. No adapter, despite being assured it would be sent.
-
Ewan Walker (@e_red_squirrel) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia TiVo box down... No broadband or TV for the last hour in EH4. Called and your tests say there is nothing wrong but try resetting the box. 🤔 Done 3 times while waiting 50mins on your customer 'No' service answering my call! 😡
-
Effie Fenton (@effiefenton) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia it would be a great idea if you could save priority installation slots for those in greatest need, like those with disabilities who need a phone line installed for a telecare service. So they don't have to wait a month. Just a thought.
-
Lesley Neilan (@lesley_neilan) reported from Edinburgh, ScotlandHi @virginmedia I am trying unsuccessfully to contact you about my current contract. I don’t have WhatsApp and your online help link doesn’t help. My old fashioned ‘telephone’ call ended with ‘there was a fault’. Are there any humans around?

-
Liz Langfield (@liz_langfield) reported@ArturNadol7566 So Virgin Media has to pay a fine of £28m for the deliberate mistreatment of customers. But where does that money actually go? Certainly not to their customer-victims of their mistreatment. As always, fines paid by large corporations and companies NEVER benefit the victims.
-
unia (@unia_x) reported@Stsantek @virginmedia Hartlepool, Swindon, Reading - 3 places where I know for a fact a VM connection has packet loss. They’re selling a broken service and are getting away with it.
-
CJ 🍉🌈 (@____CJ______) reported@MichelleBeckett @SkyUK @VodafoneUK They are so out of touch it's unreal. I recently had to phone virgin media "bereavement and critical illness line", a relative has terminal cancer, but yet they can't offer monthly rolling contracts? We had to sign up for a min 2 year contract? It's disgusting. I'll never go VM!
-
Kathy Miller (@KathyMi25429227) reported@virginmedia you are telling me you are extremely busy on 25 minutes hold. Guess what? I am Busy Too but you are not paying me several pounds a month! Employ more staff...am going to Ombdsman about shambolic service
-
Kerrin McIntosh 💙 (@kerbear_t) reported@status_is_down And how can they say it’ll take a week to fix!!! Trying to run my business and I can’t access anything. I can’t use data from my phone as it costs so much. Horrendous @virginmedia. They just don’t care
-
💙Susan Robinson 🌹🐞💙🐝🐈🐈🐝💙 (@hatetorycuts) reported@Stsantek @virginmedia So sorry you e switched to EE they’re among the biggest scoundrels of broadband suppliers Disconnected my landline then gave number away Total **** up but no apology & threaten me with £100 exit fee I hate the leeching bastards Look for a smaller more independent company
-
Pazuzu (@Craig_Higgins) reportedHey @virginmedia we've recently just renegotiated our internet with yourselves after the price became completely unaffordable but based on the news Ofcom has found you guilty of deliberately mishandling customer calls, was this an unwise move?
