James Smith 🏴🇮🇹🇿🇦 (@SobukweScozia) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia I have now had no service - internet, tv, phone - for 24 hours. It’s impossible to speak with someone about this. There is only a vague automated message about a ‘complicated problem’. How can I get this fixed? What are you doing to address this?
-

-
Alli (@Alli3Fifer) reported from Kirkcaldy, Scotland@virginmedia Spent another 75 mins on the phone & managed to get a technician out this afternoon. The technician confirmed it is a known fault with the hub 5 and knew without testing what the issue was. The fault has no fix and my vulnerable parents are still left without the phone service.
-
trippfuller (@trippfuller) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia It's a bit offensive to send someone u cost significant income a link so they can get a fee bucks. If u just communicate sucking in advance those who count on service can arrange.
-
James Smith 🏴🇮🇹🇿🇦 (@SobukweScozia) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia BTW. It’s not an ‘intermittent’ issue - I’ve had no service at all for 18 hours, and what exactly does ‘taking us a little longer than usual’ to fix actually mean?
-
James Smith 🏴🇮🇹🇿🇦 (@SobukweScozia) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia I’ve no internet, phone or tv in South Edinburgh - following intermittent internet for days. Your fault checker says there is no service fault yet your website does not allow me to book an engineer. Can you help?

Bev Terry 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆 (@Bev2810) reported@virginmedia you don’t bother looking after loyal customers do you ? want to offer my renewal for more than what I can get as a new customer
-
andy spinoza (@andyspin) reported@virginmedia my screen keeps having a giant error message ‘Channel Failed’ over the picture which is actually working! Anyone else having this issue? Usual rubbish Virgin customer service not picking up - waiting over 45 mins now.
-
maxine wilson 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧 (@maxinewilson121) reportedI have changed Internet yesterday as I was out of contract with virgin media and they wanted 95 a month, I have switched to @youfibre and I am thrilled to bits with it and now even get signal in my garden.
-
Expanse Consulting Ltd (@ExpanseCon) reported@MikeScheider_ Not a vodafone issue. Looks like a core switch failure, optical cross-connect fault or other fault inside one of the central carrier-neutral hubs. It has dropped interconnection across multiple fixed ISPs (Virgin Media, Eir, Siro, NBI) simultaneously.
-
Success W Lewis (@SuccessWLewis1) reported@virginmedia 3 months of issues have forced me into this situation. I may as well be in a zombie apocalypses.

-
Escape to the Garden (@JanetsEscapades) reported@virginmedia I have recently closed by Broadband account. I returned your equipment on 25th August 2026. I have an in-post receipt. However, your email is no reply & there is no contact phone number for customer service? I am now getting further emails about returning this!
-
Malcolm Sillick (@Malcolm_Sillick) reported@LeilaniDowding @EE Lellani, it's not just EE, it's everyone. Even those on cable (Virgin Media) still have to have the phone plugged into the router. Seems like a good idea, until you get a power cut (which can be supported by a back-up battery, which is NOT given as standard) If the internet goes down, then so does your phone. Great if you have a mobile, but if you live in an area with a poor mobile signal, so reply on 'Wi-Fi calling' in the house, then when the internet goes down, you also have no mobile service. It's called progress!!
-
Monty Kumbulla (@KumbullaMonty) reported@virginmedia What are the chances of a very-light-use customer that has been with you for THIRTY YEARS getting a deal at the same cost as a brand new customer?
-
Martin (@lionking2014) reported@JuanSpanishfly @LPXIOP @virginmedia I know how it works I was using voip 30 years ago!... The problem is the virgin broadband is down more often than the virgin phone line... So seems like I am losing a reliable landline line to go over a dodgy broadband one!
