Mum is awaiting a call from the hospital & is concerned and stressed they won’t be able to get her as she hasn’t had use of the number she is has had since 1989 for over a week!! In the first one they offered me a terrible offer and said it was the best and moving took ages. They did this in a slow way, always trying to divert the conversation. 1/

At which point my issue is still going to exist and I’ll have to phone the awful call centre again to beg for an engineer.

Sorry you're leaving but that is the best price, you already have. It was expensive. No problem, bye now. Next day, virgin cold calls me. Asks me to confirm who I am. I said no, you are calling me, you should know. Guy was annoyed as he was phoning to offer me a better deal. I said fine, I'll call the same retentions team I called yesterday to leave and I'll know it's actually virgin. He got angry, said they can't offer discounts, only he could and if I didn't confirm my details, he couldn't give me the offer. I just told him I could no longer do business with virgin due to such poor security procedures. He seemed very angry about the fact I wasn't willing to give personal identifiable information to a stranger cold calling me. Never paid them a penny again.
