@virginmedia Thanks. Done that. Multiple times. And over the last 6 months. And when I was an ntl: customer. And CableTel before that. 27 years of 56k > 350Mb and now it’s totally doing my head in. Unable to work from home properly. Boss won’t be happy!

Useless service from @virginmedia called 2 discuss package options on hold for ages the agent says he was trying to help them puts me on hold then put the phone down. If their customer service is like that I think I’ll try give someone else a go @skytv can you do better?

  • pmross
Paul Mackenzie Ross (@pmross) reported from Farnborough, England

@virginmedia Yep. Wired isn’t working either. I have no broadband, no WiFi, no service. Been like this since Saturday and intermittent since Jan/Feb.

  • pmross
Paul Mackenzie Ross (@pmross) reported from Farnborough, England

@virginmedia Nope. There’s “nothing wrong” with the broadband according to the status page. Never is. It’s always the hub supposedly downloading updates. 10 weeks of this now, getting a bit bored of the lack of service TBH. This needs to be escalated.

  • fayeharland
faye harland (@fayeharland) reported from Reading, England

@virginmedia hi there not sure if you can help. We’ve been trying to contact my Uncle for a few days on his landline and it’s going direct to the message service. We’re getting quite worried about him and wondered if it’s possible to see if there’s a fault on the line?

@virginmedia My cancellation date is already set 11th Nov 2022, as I have to give 30 days notice. You lost my business yesterday after one of your CS decided to try and change my package to make it cheaper thinking that would sort problem, he wasn’t listening to complaint!

  • pmross
Paul Mackenzie Ross (@pmross) reported from Farnborough, England

Dear @VirginMedia, after 3x visits from technicians over 6 months (one of whom LIED about fixing bb/WiFi) I’m now back to no service (48 hours). Yes, tried rebooting, off/on etc, status says everything OK, Called yesterday and there IS an issue. When are you going to fix it?

@virginmedia TV is an issue. broadband is not. Tests are always either cannot connect at this time or say there is nothing wrong. Don’t see how my kit in the house can one minute have speeds on +300Mb to next to nothing?

  • Pablocollier
Paul Collier (@Pablocollier) reported from Wokingham, England

@CheekyVic @virginmedia Yes I would totally agree with that! I had to get in touch with one of the directors to sort my account out! She waved the massive bill if I dropped my complaint!! We had closed the account 5 months before that! Shocking customer service!!

@lionking2014 @LPXIOP @virginmedia It is, just like when u call with ur mobile phone using wifi cos uve no service

  • william27504693
    william (@william27504693) reported

@LeeHarris @virginmedia The fact you seem shocked by this means 1 of 2 things. 1) You're really dense & didn't research how truly terrible VM services are 2) You went for the cheap option & this is the result

  • GauciReports
    Gauci Reports (@GauciReports) reported

@LPXIOP This isn’t anything new tbh. The two copper networks are basically BT & Virgin Media. They’ve been migrating across to VOIP (Voice over ip) for a long time now. Unfortunately copper networks have become old and expensive to maintain and quality of service just deteriorates over time with fault calls, replacing cables and customer complaints etc.

  • HamsterSick
MerlinJ & the Dowager. (@HamsterSick) reported

@Johnty14 @virginmedia I can't stand virgin I will not be renewing that contract November **** that. I dont pay failure

  • noimspartakus

@virginmedia do you have any issues in WA9? My internet has gone down 😡

  • Borgle1
    M-O-O-N (@Borgle1) reported

@caz_fizz @MelJanie @virginmedia Virgin are terrible now. Since the Welsh and North East staff were laid off. The overseas workers are untrained and promise the earth but deliver nothing and cause hours of phone calls for issues that could and should be solved in 3 minutes.

  • NineIsTheNumber
    Elka (@NineIsTheNumber) reported

@NLeespeaking On the other hand, when I reported a fault to Virgin Media they confidently told me it was an issue in my area which would be resolved in 24hrs. It was in fact a broken wire.
