Martin Rowan (@martinrowan) reported from Wokingham, England@dowenb @highlight If you’re using Virgin Media cable then this isn’t the same technology as the rate adaptive technology used in ADSL and VDSL, so you don’t have a sync speed to monitor. One issue you can have with Cable can be an increase in latency especially under load.

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Potato Witch (@spudmagic) reported@PeteUK7 @virginmedia Virgin continued to bill me after I switched to another provider, then chased me for £500 of "service" I hadn't had. When I told them I wouldn't be paying it because I switched to another provider X number of months ago, they said "oh yes, we knew that". ******* useless company
-
the_beeb_23 (@thebeeb_23) reported@virginmedia a little man from virgin media just rocked up at the door to explore opportunities to get our business back. How poor is the customer relationship software that they don’t have on record that pricing, service and delivery was so bog awful I will never go back?
-
Catherine 🏴🇬🇧 (@katie4249) reported@virginmedia Internet down in PA2 again. Third time in two weeks !
-
Dr Stuart Woolley (@FractalDoctor) reported@PeteUK7 @virginmedia Had exactly the same situation last year with a close relative. Complete shambles that took many mails and waiting on hold on the phone to resolve, then sending back boxes of crap that would no doubt go into landfill. I'd recommend avoiding them at all costs, for anyone.
-
cath liff (@CathLiff) reported@JamieGBarry @virginmedia cancel always gets a better deal pretty quick
-
Kris (yes it's actually spelt with a K) (@kobraman88) reported@JamieGBarry @virginmedia Stupid ***** tried to offer me a "deal" for my broadband after i had been on a rolling contract for a while that was more expensive (£75pm), managed to grind them down to a decent price and the morons didn't even put me on a new contract so left and went with HyperOptic for £25pm
-

-
Bill Y (@BillY18201250) reported@PeteUK7 @virginmedia #Vodafone did this to me with my dad's estate. 2months left on a 24month. Gimme the money and kit back. Then had the cheek to try and upsell the package during the call. I lost it on that one. Think its time #ofcom cracked down on bereavement account closure tactics.
-
Ana Atkinson (@Ana1Atkinson) reported@virginmedia we currently have no broadband, no tv and no landline. When I checked the service status, it says phone is ok, so I’m unable to register that we have no landline?
