  • Goldy73
GoldyMcGoldface (@Goldy73) reported from Farnborough, England

@virginmedia The fact you have even done it without telling anyone is a shocking customer service move, especially in this day and age where a lot of people are working from home. Absolutely disgusting service I don't care how long it will take, I need to know of you plan to take it down so

  • PhilStace20
Phil Stacey (@PhilStace20) reported from Maidenhead, England

@denman79 @virginmedia The irony is that @virginmedia are more like the Pistols -‘No point in asking you’ll get no reply’ and they seem ‘Pretty Vacant’ but ‘Never mind all that…..’ can someone please take some responsibility and ownership that seems to be sadly lacking atm

  • PhilStace20
Phil Stacey (@PhilStace20) reported from Maidenhead, England

Hey @virginmedia I forgot how awful you were when it came to anything other than collecting my direct debit. Apparently you don’t have a complaints dept, genius, and after 4 calls to you today totally around three hours, you cut two of them off during the musical interlude!

  • woodyturts
Alex Turton (@woodyturts) reported from Farnborough, England

@virginmedia hey, it’s been slow going on broadband in GU14 since Tuesday.

  • HoarseRoar
eamorugby (@HoarseRoar) reported from Slough, England

@virginmedia Still no service. Your website tells me service is fine. Over the phone the automated message is “an intermittent service” and when I finally spoke with someone they’ve organised a technician to visit next TUESDAY. It’s a mess.

  • Rochdale_Cowboy
Craig (@Rochdale_Cowboy) reported from Reading, England

@virginmedia @LudaLukeUK That webpage isn't working. Presumably because your network is down!

  • TheBadgerG
Thom Gibbons (@TheBadgerG) reported from Farnborough, England

@virginmedia Yes, zero issues in area for broadband, pulled apart and reset the router numerous times. It just keeps wanting to download new settings, works for a bit and then fails. Engineer now booked for next Wednesday which is an eternity running my business from home.

  • EmsAlice
Ems (@EmsAlice) reported from Bracknell, England

@virginmedia We just purchased a film from the media store and it won’t play - just is stuck at 0 minutes 😡 we’ve restarted our box but always have problems like this with catch up especially… not ideal when we’ve paid money to rent a film! Can you help at all?

  • leaver_sharon
Sharon Leaver (@leaver_sharon) reported from Bracknell, England

@virginmedia Sorted now. Received an envelope last week with an adaptor. A leaflet inside stated we would receive an email when to change it. No such email received. Communication very poor

  • MikeBiscoe1
Mike Biscoe (@MikeBiscoe1) reported from Reading, England

If anyone is interested in how much @virginmedia are overcharging for their dreadful service, I’ve just been offered a price match on cancellation to move to a different supplier. £27.50/month for a service for which they originally increased price to £105/month

  • pilot_paul
Pilot_Paul (@pilot_paul) reported from Basingstoke, England

@ianmills99 @virginmedia No internet in RG21 either. Cannot even get on to the service page on my mobile

  • PhilStace20

@virginmedia It’s more about how this can’t be dealt with online and spending a busy day trying to get to talk with someone who actually can help. #Disgraceful #expectedthis

  • PhilStace20
Phil Stacey (@PhilStace20) reported from Maidenhead, England

@virginmedia It about moving house. As Virgin is unavailable at the new residence and the move is only temporary I was told in two separate calls that I could ‘freeze’ my account and now it’s come to it it seems that I have to keep paying whilst not receiving any service or buy myself out!

  • kqbrain
Khurram Qayam (@kqbrain) reported from Reading, England

Another day of pathetic experience on @virginmedia broadband service. No broadband service in RG6 area. Regretting my decision to switch. @Ofcom @DowndetectorUK

@Ofcom The worst experience I have ever had was signing up for @virginmedia and then trying to extricate myself from them. Took months and months and hours and hours of my time that I won’t get back. So glad to see this news. The irony was they never even connected me. Shambles.

  • Ailsa56202286
    Ailsa (@Ailsa56202286) reported

(Part 2/4)It absolutely wasn't. As five medical students finishing university and being dispersed across the country, there was no practical way to continue using Virgin Media. We called to cancel... and were hit with a £450 early termination charge. We simply couldn't afford it

  • maegdi
    magdi abdelhadi (@maegdi) reported

"Virgin Media has been fined £28 million by the regulator for repeatedly preventing customers from cancelling contracts. We hear from someone who experienced that. Plus legal expert from consumer group Which?" BBC prog. Avoid @virginmedia customer disservice based in India

  • SmithChristian4
    Christian Smith (@SmithChristian4) reported

@lukerobins @virginmedia I can stomach the £2 difference in offering, not sure if it’s area based, but a £14 offer for an existing customer when a new one gets it much cheaper is where I draw the line. Virgin I DM’d you as requested and you’re yet to come back to me….

  • CliveDaviesUK
    🇺🇦 Clive Davies #FBPE 🔶🇬🇧🇪🇺🇭🇰 (@CliveDaviesUK) reported

.@virginmedia So 2 days with no TV, no broadband, no landline and an @o2 mobile with no signal. A fix date of 15th July!!!? Zero means of communication. Totally unreliable. What a dreadful company you are. So pleased you got fined. When will this be fixed?

  • cherry_ugh
    Cherry Von Boom (@cherry_ugh) reported

@virginmedia @O2 Day 14 of not having a working phone, of having 3 counts of fraud on my account, on having people STILL trying to hack your login page, of getting no help, and my gods, I can see why you’ve been fined 28 million. And the transphobic complaints team? Chefs kiss.

  • DiscooDave1969
    Disco Dave (@DiscooDave1969) reported

@BBCNews @virginmedia I am disappointed the fine is not higher. Let this be a warning to anyone thinking of moving to them. They will offer a great 12 month deal and then double the price in year 2 and making it extremely possible to cancel.
