  • WakeFireplaces Wakeford Fireplaces (@WakeFireplaces) reported from Send, England

@virginmedia Getting a new/replacement Hub, existing one keeps turning off/resetting. Call lasted 50 mins, 6-7 mins was chatting to someone, until put on hold again. Gave up.... shocking service!!

  • JulianHull Julian Hull (@JulianHull) reported from Farnborough, England

@virginmedia having problems with internet in GU14. Will this be resolved soon

  • pmross Paul Mackenzie Ross (@pmross) reported from Farnborough, England

@GuseensLV @virginmedia Ah man, I’m with ya. 350MB here was fab until 16 days ago. Been “OK” today, had a relatively stable connection but it never crept over 10MB and that was if I was lucky *sigh*

  • BagshotTwit Paul Austin (@BagshotTwit) reported from Camberley, England

@virginmedia I upgraded to the Ultimate Oomph package in Jan but still waiting for the order to be completed. I’ve contacted customer services on numerous times but no success, I’ve also raised a complaint. How do I actually get some help to complete the order?

  • EmsAlice Ems ☾ (@EmsAlice) reported from Bracknell, England

@virginmedia We managed to get through to your team on the phone yesterday and they said they will call us back. It started working again yesterday evening but it’s an on and off problem we have had for weeks so needs looking into properly which I hope will happen soon.

  • paulineayres PaulineAyres-S/W (@paulineayres) reported from Blackwater, England

@virginmedia I have to wait until Monday for an engineer to come and fix whatever the problem is but never ever had a good connection and made many complains

  • TheonlyJonesy Martyn Jones (@TheonlyJonesy) reported from Fleet, England

@virginmedia don’t worry about supplying a service that I can use to work from home, I’d much rather leave the house in a pandemic to access stable broadband...!!!

  • pmross Paul Mackenzie Ross (@pmross) reported from Farnborough, England

@Binky_2301 @virginmedia The service was pretty reliable until now 19 days ago. Their status tool says no issues yet an engineer told me there were. And that they were fixing it. Been watching Twitter and it’s been an issue with folks all over the country.

  • pmross Paul Mackenzie Ross (@pmross) reported from Farnborough, England

@sniveldirk @virginmedia Also it’s not reliable broadband. I’m suffering day 15 of anything but the 350MB connection I paid for. Right now it’s dead again. The lack of service forced me to have to work from an office today (again!) How unsafe is that?

  • pmross Paul Mackenzie Ross (@pmross) reported from Farnborough, England

@virginmedia Hi AR, I was given no time at all, only that there were ongoing issues the last two weeks then he said 7-10 days. He said you were working on it, it would be fixed but no timescale. 15 days of unreliable BB is awful. Have had 100% outages of up to 36 hours.

  • pmross Paul Mackenzie Ross (@pmross) reported from Farnborough, England

Dear diary, day 16 of poor/zero broadband. I called @VirginMedia, joined a queue, cooked, served & ate dinner, started watching The Simpsons then after 48 minutes of Jake Bugg and some other repetitive on-hold phone entertainment, they cut me off!

  • flyingjok John Neilson (@flyingjok) reported from Camberley, England

@virginmedia Worst part of it @virginmedia is the way your customer service team speaks to customers. Quite appalling and in my experience always approached on basis that the customer is wrong. It consistently bad - to be told you don’t send texts when I clearly had two texts quite insulting!

  • EmsAlice Ems ☾ (@EmsAlice) reported from Bracknell, England

@virginmedia It’s now been more than 48 hours and once again our catch up services and virgin media store is down and unavailable ... this time with no known local issue. What am I meant to do?

  • BagshotTwit Paul Austin (@BagshotTwit) reported from Camberley, England

@virginmedia I had my phone on me all day and didn’t have any missed call message. I have called numerous times and no progress. I understand you also can’t help me.

  • wmatthew Will Matthews (@wmatthew) reported from Fleet, England

@virginmedia is there a bandwidth issue in the network? I’m in Fleet, Hampshire #patchy #slow

  • paulineayres PaulineAyres-S/W (@paulineayres) reported from Blackwater, England

Omg @virginmedia the worse service you could possible get 😡

  • paulineayres PaulineAyres-S/W (@paulineayres) reported from Blackwater, England

@virginmedia Have to wait until Monday until an engineer can come out to fix whatever the problem is, I have never ever had a good connection, made many complaints but this is the worse ever. Intermittence connections causing me to need another @SlimmingWorld consultant to cover my groups 💔

  • pmross Paul Mackenzie Ross (@pmross) reported from Farnborough, England

@virginmedia Called yesterday PM: engineer tested the line, said there were network issues despite status page saying to the contrary. Was told you were fixing the issue but today is day 15 and no BB since ~15:30 yesterday. I have to go to the office, no choice. Poor/no BB = risk my health 🙁

Virgin Media Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • scottm1989 Scott (@scottm1989) reported

@virginmedia Hi MH, I have spoken to someone over the phone twice now and both times have left me feeling like I’m knocking my head against a brick wall. A 3 week wait to get an engineer out for a simple fix doesn’t bode well. Could this be brought forward? I read you have 24/7 engineers……

  • Ragdollcatman Raggycat Rattyman - 🐭🐱 (@Ragdollcatman) reported

@virginmedia I didn't say marketing emails. I said spam. Getting fed up with it. Getting crap pretending to be from all sorts of businesses trying to get me to log in to their fake websites to phish my details. You people need to do some filtering at YOUR end!

  • johnnyhammer5 John (@johnnyhammer5) reported

@virginmedia I’ve just emailed back your useless complaint team, 3rd formal reply and they are still referring to me with by mothers name. My email services 2 different Virgin accounts, I can’t log on to see recent stuff - crap. I am STILL missing a mimi-box from you. It’s been shockingly bad

  • Editmonster Stewart Daniels (@Editmonster) reported

@virginmedia No one from the Network has contacted me , they were last here two weeks ago and got no idea what is happening, no one has contacted me with any updates

  • abz_mercy98 Abigail (@abz_mercy98) reported

@virginmedia 2 months is a bit ridiculous if you ask me and the fact that no one has really been helpful on the phone doesn’t help either. Why would someone want to take out a plan with virgin if they can’t even get 1mbps of upload speed when they need it!

  • Hillygoat1 Hilda (@Hillygoat1) reported

@virginmedia I have no issue with 30 days notice period even though I’ve been out of contract for over a year. It’s why the system doesn’t issue a bill as per the dates as opposed to leaving the onus on the ex customer to be out of pocket especially during a time of financial crisis

  • DanielKennett77 Dan (@DanielKennett77) reported

@virginmedia So basically pay more to you per month to solve a problem that I should have? Will this stop me having to reset the box? I don’t see why I should have to pay more money to @virginmedia it’s been a disaster from day one when you never installed at the selected day. Not happy.

  • Hillygoat1 Hilda (@Hillygoat1) reported

@virginmedia why can I not just pay the 11 days that are outside of the termination date? Told had to pay the full month and would take up to 45 days to have difference refunded. This is poor customer service

  • abz_mercy98 Abigail (@abz_mercy98) reported

@virginmedia He’s called many times and just gets pushed about to different people or they just tell him it’s an issue in the area and it will be fixed soon. First it was the 23rd December now the beginning of January. The customer service hasn’t been good and he keeps getting disregarded.

  • Denn1sMenac3 Dennis the Menace (@Denn1sMenac3) reported

@virginmedia Start by not providing an utterly horrendous service
