David Williams (@TheTestingMuse) reported from Ashford, England@virginmedia Having just looked at model photos it's the Hub 4 I have, set to Modem Mode. The connection drop problem is with the Hub itself (the solid white ring light then starts glowing to show it is "connecting"), so the connection drop affects both wired and wireless connections.

Wolf of X (@WolfofX) reportedFor more than a decade, Stan Beaton held onto something that many people would consider priceless. It wasn't jewelry, money, or a photograph. It was the voice of his wife, Ruby. Ruby passed away from cancer in 2003. Before she died, she had recorded the greeting on their home answering machine. It became the last recording of her voice, and whenever grief felt overwhelming, Stan would play it just to hear her speak again. He was so afraid of losing that message that he stayed with the same phone company for years, believing it was the safest way to protect it. Then, in 2014, everything changed. Following routine maintenance by Virgin Media, the voicemail suddenly disappeared. Stan was devastated. He believed the final piece of his wife's voice had been erased forever. When Virgin Media learned what had happened, they refused to give up. The company assembled a team of 11 engineers, who spent three days searching through backup systems and archived data. One executive compared the task to searching for a needle in a haystack. Against the odds, they found it. When the recording was played back to Stan during a BBC Radio Leeds interview, he broke down in tears. "That's her... It's just a wonderful, wonderful sound that I thought was lost forever." Virgin Media later provided him with copies of the recording so it would never be lost again. Sometimes technology isn't just about cables, servers, and code. Sometimes, it's about giving someone one more chance to hear the voice of the person they loved most.
