@VodafoneUK Got the SIM week ago with a phone. Still no activation. PM to customer services 5 times in a week. Still nothing. So I am going to cancel the direct debit and keep the phone. Let's see if that works.

They might be a little more expensive than other networks I have been with before but I've always had good service if I've been stuck with something. This is probably just a glitch in the system tbh

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Have had similar problems following a bereavement with Eon Next referring to debt collection agency. In fact most utility companies have been disappointingly bad. Even when they have a bereavement dept. and initially do the right thing, they later **** it up. So upsetting.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Had the same with 02 Germany. Kept telling me I had to cancel through the phone app, or call them on the phone, but I didn’t have my mum’s PIN. A sympathetic call centre agent eventually cancelled the contract and advised me not to pay the outstanding balance.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK We had the same with TalkTalk from my mum's house after she passed away. They racked up £600 to be owed to them, after we told them she'd passed away. Eventually spoke to someone with a heart and got it cancelled. We'll never use Talk Talk for anything now.
