@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Thank you @GeorgeMonbiot for your dogged determination to shame these disgraceful practices. And for using your profile on behalf of so many disgruntled customers. @GeorgeMonbiot Just saw your story about @vodafoneuk. You quote VUK as say “We do not have a policy of making it difficult for bereaved families to get in touch with us to cancel contracts.” Your question wasn't about difficulty contacting them, but canceling. Omissions matter.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK same with BT Sport, after dad died in Oct. Had a late put charge as bank a/c frozen and we hadn’t seen the bill. Also SSE handed the elec/gas bill to “compassionate bad debt company” as I refused to pay until we had probate and house sold. A lot of companies need to do better

@GeorgeMonbiot just wanting to send a big 👍 with regards to your article about how terrible @VodafoneUK are as a company. They nearly cost me getting a mortgage because of how inept their staff are. I will be keeping a close eye on the outcomes of your meeting. All the best 🫡

@VodafoneUK @GeorgeMonbiot Shame on you Vodafone, what George Monbiot had to go through, along with thousands of others is clearly not due to errors but rather to shameful business practices.
