There isn't an issue with the phone lines but the recent wind up here in Edinburgh has the branches bashing of the lines, so it's only a matter of time before the branches snap the wires, hence I'm trying to take preventive measures.

No problem; 3 days max says @bt_uk, oh, can’t find the address of other property in our system (the one they bill and provide the service to) so pay £75 as a new install.

To add insult to injury a new school is being built in front of me and has already have fibre installed as have all the flats around us.

You've forced us to switch over from copper to fibre, but then you haven't made the actual switch and just thought its easier to charge us for both services.
