@bt_uk is there any update on when Edinburgh will be back online? I can’t work so it’s an issue!

  • brian6211
Brian Thomas (@brian6211) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@bt_uk No the issue wasn’t resolved. I answered the call within a few seconds but they hung up right away and made no attempt to call again. If you have an hour or so, read the notes. Utterly appalling. I am expecting 2 callbacks today but not holding my breath. @ThomasDuecke @Ofcom

  • EdiDisgraces

@EdinReporter There are some horrors in Leith that could do with being removed before new expensive paving goes down @BTCare could show it cares…

@GenuineNoob198 @mitchmi09009371 @bt_uk Do you know what a question mark is? It means I'm asking you a question not making a statement. FFS and you're calling me stupid??

Brian Thomas (@brian6211) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@ThomasDuecke just thought you should know that I’m experiencing appalling customer service from @bt_uk and despite almost 10 hours complaining, am still no further forward. Can you please help as I’m at my wits end?

  • LAYC2015
LAYC (@LAYC2015) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@bt_uk please help small charity who has no telephone landline and don’t understand why there’s a fault? On hold to very expensive customer service line!

  • RTPeat
Richard Peat  (@RTPeat) reported from Kinghorn, Scotland

@OpenreachHelp Hi Dan, there is no service in their new house as they’ve emigrated - the @bt_uk service is sitting unused. It seems absolutely ludicrous to replace the ONT with a 4 port for a property that only needs 1 FTTP service because of a BT admin issue!

  • _SmithChris
Chris Smith1️⃣9️⃣⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (@_SmithChris) reported from Kirkcaldy, Scotland

Can someone at @btsport please replay the incident and show us where the head knock is, there isn't one. He is trying to get away with one

  • maryjanesdesk
Avantika (@maryjanesdesk) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

Have been trying to get broadband sorted since we moved over a MONTH ago and between the innumerable errors made by @bt_uk and apparent issues with Openreach's systems I am at my wits end...how do you not inform the provider / the customer if you aren't going to turn up?!!

  • Shafacakes1
Shafay (@Shafacakes1) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@bt_uk broadband still not working in Edinburgh, is there any news on when it will be fixed?

  • taylor354
Graeme Taylor (@taylor354) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@bt_uk @benmols @bt_uk FTTP services down for me in the EH4 area of edinburgh. Can you confirm if this is expected. Old broadband over copper is still working via the DEAN exchange.

  • phildalgleish
phil *wash your hands* (@phildalgleish) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

Brilliant @bt_uk scam, I mean poor systems. Existing BT consumer moving house to a BT serviced property. No problem; 3 days max says @bt_uk, oh, can’t find the address of other property in our system (the one they bill and provide the service to) so pay £75 as a new install.

  • karenagalloway
Karen A Galloway (@karenagalloway) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

Anyone else having @bt_uk internet issues in edinburgh???

  • fergusboden
Fergus (@fergusboden) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

Apparently an electricity problem has blown our area's internet and they might have to dig up the street to fix it. Anyone who knows me knows this is some of the worst news I could receive. (@bt_uk system was utterly clueless too, which was really helpful.)

  • andrew_kemp
Andrew Kemp (@andrew_kemp) reported from Currie, Scotland

Hello @bt_uk broadband goodbye @virginmedia. BT fibre being installed today! Finally virgin media have got some competition in the area. I can see everyone in the area switching in the coming months due to the poor service you’ve provided everyone in Currie.

  • No7Nurgle
Matt (@No7Nurgle) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@uniteandserve @bt_uk @Ofcom Just get Starlink, and reduce your blood pressure. I know it’s frustrating to have to go to a foreign provider to get decent internet, but it’s been the best internet service I’ve ever had. Recommend the rental service. It’s zero risk. Just cancel if it doesn’t work for you.

  • Jim5511blue
Jim up the saints 💪 (@Jim5511blue) reported

@bt_uk Just so its out there, when cancelled today I was told if I rejoin BT at a later date I would be put to the back of queue, how absolutely typical of company who gave me start date then could not supply their service even after a month and four days !! Excellent customer care!!!!

  • buzyizzy21
    💙Climatecrisisbeliever🐴🦄❤️ 🔸🌎🔥 (@buzyizzy21) reported

@bt_uk WHY HAVEN’T YOU RESPONDED TO MY COMPLAINT FROM 13/8 AND NOW YOU EXPECT ME TO PAY TWO MONTHS FOR 10 DAYS SERVICE? TRULY APPALLING!!NO COMPENSATION OFFERED, A WHOLE MONTH WAITING FOR YOU TO SORT YOUR **** UPS OUT!! AND YOU EXPECT ME TO PAY!! TRULY APPALLING!! OMBUDSMAN NEXT.

  • darrenwhitehall
    Darren Whitehall (@darrenwhitehall) reported

@bt_uk my mother phone line has a fault and it is not working I have brought new phones and this has not changed the issue. I need help as my mum has dementia.

  • CarolLo58903853
    Carol Lord (@CarolLo58903853) reported

@bt_uk is there a broadband issue in some areas this pm? The call delay suggests yes. I can't stand at the top of the garden for 90mins to wait for a call back from you and 'WiFi calling' indoors obviously isn't working. Very frustrating 😕

  • SuperSparkyDuck
    SparkyDuck 🐸 (@SuperSparkyDuck) reported

@bt_uk do your executive complaints team just ignore emails requesting I be contacted? Ive requested calls twice in the space of two days and neither have happened. My internet is still down. Its been 3 weeks. Sort. It. Out.

  • Walesguy2
    Mark (@Walesguy2) reported

@bt_uk Paying a bill should be easy. Automatic. Why do you make it so difficult for your customers? I’ve already spent an hour on this tonight. And your complaints page wouldn’t upload. Funny that. You think I have that time to spend on a **** company that can’t organise itself?

  • Yorkiebloke
    Yorkie Paul (@Yorkiebloke) reported

@bt_uk Your guides basically said I’ll have to dispute it with Vodafone. You’re expecting me to pay for a service that was cancelled when I switched to Vodafone. I even had an email stating my final bill would be £15. Loyal BT customer for over ten years

  • tringgooner
    Chris (@tringgooner) reported

@bt_uk I think anyone would be unhappy don’t you? Messed around, then asked for a £20 deposit to that you will hold onto for up to 6 months. It’s a bloody disgrace. That is no way to treat any customer. And you know it.

  • JGMacColl
    Gari MacColl (@JGMacColl) reported

@bt_uk I just feel paying £50 a month more than a new customer, shows a serious lack of customer service, loyalty goes both ways.
