Keith Duncan (@Keithduncan47) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@bt_uk Thanks Lesley. Unfortunately the issue has been going on for over 10 years now. It’s quite frankly gone beyond a joke. To add insult to injury a new school is being built in front of me and has already have fibre installed as have all the flats around us.
-
Richard Peat (@RTPeat) reported from Kinghorn, Scotland@bt_uk I don’t want the equipment removed, I want your customers service removed from it so I can have my service installed rather than having to have hardware pointlessly replaced. Your customer has emigrated, the service is no longer used.
-
Fergus (@fergusboden) reported from Edinburgh, ScotlandApparently an electricity problem has blown our area's internet and they might have to dig up the street to fix it. Anyone who knows me knows this is some of the worst news I could receive. (@bt_uk system was utterly clueless too, which was really helpful.)

BT (British Telecom) Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Trevor Chenery (@Krisp06) reported@countrymousie @btbusinesscare I wouldn't have thought so. You can keep your landline but you would need to move it -eventually - to a 'digital supplier' when the line service finally ends. However, I checked with Dr Google & his Elves & they made the following points which sound like very good news. "Starlink does not directly provide a traditional copper landline service, but it can fully replace one as part of the UK PSTN switch-off by supporting Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services. You can keep your existing phone number and handset by using a VoIP adapter connected to the Starlink router, suitable for replacing old copper lines. How it Works: Starlink provides high-speed internet, allowing you to use third-party VoIP providers (e.g., Plexatalk, Premitel) to make calls via your internet connection. Requirements: You will need a VoIP Analogue Telephone Adapter (ATA) to plug your existing telephone handset into the Starlink Wi-Fi router. Suitability: VoIP over Starlink is ideal for rural areas where copper is being removed, offering sufficient speed and reliability.Alternatives: If you do not wish to use VoIP, you may look at mobile phone-based solutions, which are also often used when replacing old copper lines. As the UK moves towards a digital-only network by 2027, switching to a VoIP service via a broadband connection like Starlink is a common solution." You need to find & check it al lout with a good IT man to help you through the key steps & stages. You may also need to invest in new telephone hand sets around your house to replace your old BT ones. You won't need wires to connect them, it all works digitally through the air.

Gizmo (@Gizmo83508413) reported@bt_uk Does it on multiple browsers and devices. Look like the website has a problem, rather than me. As it’s your website maybe you should be contacting the technical team? Just a thought, like
-
Caroline (@snowlingc) reported@bt_uk Your missing the point, your engineer installed full fibre today but it is still not working after 7 hours of flashing pink
-
Graeme Davis (@GraemeDavis) reportedi’m trying and failing to report a broadband problem to @bt_uk - online is an endless loop to linecheck (fault found), chat message won’t open, phone sends to txt not a person, txt is a very long wait on a charged-for line. How does anyone ever contact BT?
-
bazzer (@thematrixzion) reportedThe @bt_uk app is a load of crap it updates you can’t use it even to turn my kids Wi-Fi back on
-
Larissa Collins🇱🇹🇮🇪🏴 (@CollinsLarissa) reported@bt_uk So you’re making an upgrade I never asked for and it’s still cost me over an hour on the phone because you can’t get your appointments in the right order. I don’t care about your rigid systems - I’m the customer. I care even less that ‘AI did it’ - you trained it.
-
Alexandra O'Byrne (@AlexaOByrne) reported@simboman @stokeygurl @bt_uk Could not agree more! During my many calls with BT I’ve been told this is affecting tens of thousands of customer accounts. Waiting for my paper bill for which BT “kindly waived the £3 fee”. Luckily, I’m “out of contract” and hence able to move to another provider.
-
Nikki Anderson (@NikkiOsbor4715) reported@bt_uk When are you going to sort out the problems you have. I CANNOT log into my account have not been able to for two days now. What the heck is going on. Awful company, need to get rid of you. Shame really I have internet, phone and 4 mobile phones all going. Had enough😡
-
Graham & June Hall (@GrahamH36921247) reported@John210750 @bt_uk We are seriously considering switching, and nuts to the contract. This is awful!
-
Rhonda 💙 🇺🇦 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ (@rhondawainman) reported@bt_uk Tried that and the customer service agents kept cutting me off. Waste of bloody time.
