266 excruciating minutes of my life (nine phone calls!) I will never get back trying to get a complaint response out of @virginmedia A customer of over 20 years treated terribly. Let’s hope @bt_uk are better. #misselling #poorcustomerservice @lutzschuler @libertyglobal @ofcom

  • whambam__ Hannah Bamford (@whambam__) reported from Brighton and Hove, England

Thought I was done awful customer service @bt_uk when I cancelled in April. They have record of my phone call (where I was told there was no point in staying with BT as my broadband was never going to get any better) but no one bothered to process the cancellation 1/2

  • StephenMear Stephen Mear CBE (HonDArt) (@StephenMear) reported from Saltdean, England

@bt_uk I would just like to thank you for your terrible service. I waited 27 minutes befor anyone answered. They then put me on hold and the phone cut off after half an hour of waiting. Tried calling again but after another 20 min I gave up.

  • whambam__ Hannah Bamford (@whambam__) reported from Brighton and Hove, England

Spoke to 2 people @bt_uk today. One on live chat who palmed me straight off on someone else, started a complaint but then couldn’t be bothered to finish it. The next guy was more helpful - clearly sick and tired of having to deal with all these issues. 2/3 (sorry there’s more)

  • SusanFourtane Susan Fourtané  (@SusanFourtane) reported from Brighton and Hove, England

  • skymook Sky Apperley (@skymook) reported from Worthing, England

Dear @bt_uk, you can detect when someone is using a war dailer on your network. The 10,000 hang ups after a 1 second call is a give-a-way. Please ban them after 25 hang ups and spare us the following scam callers. Regards.

  • SusanFourtane Susan Fourtané  (@SusanFourtane) reported from Brighton and Hove, England

  • Chrissyylilyy C h r i s s a a y💖 (@Chrissyylilyy) reported from Worthing, England

@virginmedia He refused to file our complaint because of this. We feel treated like dirt from start and actually relived they can’t connect because the ‘first impressions’ were utterly disgusting. We have decided to sign up with @bt_uk who going to connect us #virginmedia #bt

BT (British Telecom) Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • jaisullivan Jai Sullivan (@jaisullivan) reported

@bt_uk Thanks John. A 4G minihub is not a sufficient replacement. I've gone from a working FTTC service & paying for a premium FTTP upgrade that is not working at all. Providing hybrid connect as a gesture would at least allow me to have something that resembles normal service.

  • jaisullivan Jai Sullivan (@jaisullivan) reported

@bt_uk Hi John, unfortunately not. Openreach have just left, BT have confirmed it's a problem with the cable link in the exchange. Where does this leave me now, how do I get updated or a timescale for resolution?

  • smartcarstaxis Smart Cars (@smartcarstaxis) reported

    @BTCare are crap total

  • CharlieTangoFM CT (@CharlieTangoFM) reported

Suddenly my @btsport account with @EE has stopped working. Reset my password. Ring this number for help. Office closed. No French football for me tonight 😡

  • DanielM16334247 Daniel Mcloughlin (@DanielM16334247) reported

@bt_uk Again I get it but maybe try being a little more personable this doesn't help. Now we're out of 4 days of work between us. We both have desktops and aren't near a hotspot. But I guess thanks.

  • samkev22 Sam ❤ (@samkev22) reported

@bt_uk is there an issue in the Plymouth area? With wifi? Only mine keeps dropping out every half an hour! And it’s getting ridiculous now!

  • LatenMorris1 Latte Morris (@LatenMorris1) reported

@LunchboxLogicYT @nathjnzy @bt_uk Always been with them and no problems

  • ereuben Elliot Reuben (@ereuben) reported

@bt_uk OK solved! Problem was with the ASUS router, something in latest firmware upgrade. Switched router WiFi capability off until primary disc was reconnected after factory reset. Now seems to be working, just resetting all the discs. Thanks Dom, pls add to database of fixes!

  • nathantoothy90 Nathan Butterworth (@nathantoothy90) reported

@bt_uk Ethernet cable won’t reach. I did try it at first and the speeds were also terrible barely made a difference.

  • stuartmacnab Stuart Macnab (@stuartmacnab) reported

@bt_uk some clarification required if possible? Cancelled my service with you but got an auto-generated email that I now have a new 12 month broadband contract starting yesterday. Can I DM to discuss further?
