So in desperation, I call @bt_uk and speak to a call handler who was just brilliant. He bent over backwards and then some. I have had plenty of poor customer service from them, but not tonight. So, there may be hope. That long gone email address *might* be recovered and if so

@bt_uk really disappointed with your service (or lack of) this week. Two engineer visits not undertaken as booked and two promised call backs which failed to materialise. Please advise how this can be resolved.
