From recent experience I can confirm this tweet is total nonsense. I’m moving all of my services elsewhere. Customer service 0/10, shambles. I suggest you all check if you can get a better deal elsewhere. (@Plusnet expect my call)

@OpenreachHelp Yet another 72hrs of being fobbed off by Plusnet and Openreach. Approximately Openreach identified an issue on 13th December but still have not resolved it. @plusnethelp @Plusnet seem to think help means sending a standard email requesting I wait for update for another 48hrs

@plusnethelp switched from the 8th january but not router been delivered as of today. Not router= no broadband = not work. Never experienced such unprofessionalism how can you post router 2 days before activation on normal delivery in such time. bad start #badservice #plusnet

Trouble is when companies splinter they tend to reform into larger entities or failing that they create other companies to maintain that illusion of choice. As an example that lovely little local Yorkshire outfit Plusnet is just BT with a flat cap on.
