Was reassured that there would not be a break in internet connection due to working from home but have been all day without and still not been connected. Can anyone help at all?

I’ve just decided to upgrade my phone and the whole swap has been a nightmare. First I was told my phone hadn’t arrived when it had, now I’m being told it’s damaged. It was perfect! 🤬
