@Lloydm_85 @TalkTalk Yeah, I think technically they didn't raise the price of the broadband, just some service charges or some other charge like that. Still counts at the end of the day.

@Talktalk worst broadband service I've ever had. And yet appears to be getting worse. Maybe you can help me understand to why even when my box is hard wired into the router that I still can't watch a program... @MoneyTelegraph

@JamesJelly22 @TalkTalk Over a year now. I did replace their terrible router with my own and a separate modem from Amazon but that was due to speed and WiFi issues. If its that bad then I'd suggest you get them to check your setup or booking an openreach visit.

@TimInSuffolk Thanks for that. Yes I was aware that TalkTalk was hacked at one stage during her time as CEO - I was a customer at the time, do not feel that CEO can always be held responsible for a hack, many companies have been caught out once, not all admit it.

@TalkTalk Hello. Can you please confirm why you feel it acceptable to put this scam protect thing on my account. That I can’t disable no one at tech support. And I can’t do the work I need to get done because of it.

@TalkTalk I eventually got through on the phone and you’re charging me £134 to cancel my service because I only had the option to sign up for another 18 month contract when I moved six months ago.
-
TalkTalk
(@TalkTalk) reported
@cookywook Hi @cookywook, when you sign up for a TalkTalk service you agree to have that service for a minimum contract term. For further assistance, send us a DM. KC

@TalkTalk Could you please DM too? I was on here 11 hours talking to someone, until they stopped replying. I was not rude or aggressive to anyone, but just stopped getting a reply! I still have not got Internet connection since Sunday.
-
adele bibby
(@dellybib) reported
@TalkTalk When I try to tweet to ask for help, my tweets aren't appearing on your page, only showing up when I reply to a tweet, so it's been hard to get your help since 6 pm last night when your colleague stopped replying by DM.

@erincandescent @TalkTalk @Hyperoptic Even if there is some good reason (which is never stated transparently), I would still be against paying it. Switching internet should be as smooth and fee-lees as switching utilities. Hell, you can even CASS switch bank accounts for free.

They won’t even forgo the 250MB data limit on my mum’s mobile so they can have a modicum of connectivity during this time. Shocked at the utter contempt that @TalkTalk treat their customers with.

Erin ✨💽
(@erincandescent) reported
@cookywook @TalkTalk @Hyperoptic Oh I agree, but the issue needs to be taken up with Openreach/OFCOM BT used to (still do?) offer to pay your cancellation fee to you, which is obviously cheating given said cancellation fee is being paid by your old ISP to their other hand
