Effie Fenton (@effiefenton) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland
@virginmedia it would be a great idea if you could save priority installation slots for those in greatest need, like those with disabilities who need a phone line installed for a telecare service. So they don't have to wait a month. Just a thought.

Edinburgh’s Disgraces (@EdiDisgraces) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland
Cost of living advice - IF Virgin Media ask for a big price hike tell them you are going elsewhere but will stay for the same price as a new customer would pay. It takes a while but saved £800 (over 18 months) today and will get more for same price/no increase @MoneySavingExp

Laura Barbour (@dreamingisfree) reported from Bo’ness, Scotland
@virginmedia It is now almost four weeks since I have had broadband. The technician who came out 11 days ago assured me the “dig team” would be out in the next day or two. Having now spent approximately 738 hours trying to contact you, I have finally spoken to a customer (1)

-
Effie Fenton (@effiefenton) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland
@virginmedia With respect, that just takes you to a forum on your own website to tuck this away out of public view. I'll let you know here if I get any response. Emergency response phone lines should be treated as a priority by all telecoms companies.

Laura Barbour (@dreamingisfree) reported from Bo’ness, Scotland
service agent who tells me an appointment is scheduled for the 15th November. Shall I laugh or scream? 7 weeks with no WiFi? @virginmedia (2)

@virginmedia It's not showing up and it's now been down since first thing yesterday. They are elderly and need their landline to be working. Is there a way to speak to someone if it's not fixed by 4?
-
Neil Sneddon (@EdinburghNJS) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland
Got to say. Been a customer of @virginmedia since Dec 10th 1999. First problem I've ever had this week, and service, ability to contact and understanding of my problem is absolutely woeful. Luckily still in cooling off period for new deal. Dreadful.

seldomseenkid (@seldomseenkid) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland
@vmbusiness @virginmedia @virginmedianews Why is your service so unreliable? Are we expected to pay for a service that doesn’t work?
-
tootsietweets (@tootsieiam) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland
Friday night powered by 5G since @virginmedia delivery via @YodelOnline seems to have disappeared into the ether. So work was painfully slow, and now I’m cleaning the fridge because, it seems everything in this 1860’s house is reliant on broadband. Thank god for @EE 📱

Lord Galoot (@pumphysaysNO) reported from Broxburn, Scotland

Paul Varcoe (@Varcs73) reported
@virginmedia It is a total loss of service since Wednesday morning, not intermittent. For 5 days. How are we supposed to work from home? When will this be back on? I am never getting any answers or help from virgin with this
-
WattoPhotos (@WattoPhotos) reported
@virginmedia no faults I have run tests. but yet again it is off again now. Your company is chargeing people for a service that you are not providing.
-
Syed Shah (@syed_pdl) reported
@virginmedia fu k you for **** service and having me on hold for an hour
-
Neil Cheshire (@nchesh) reported
@virginmedia I don't know what time it went out this morning but it's still out now and no sign of it changing, I shall give it longer. But the tech support I got gave no explanation at all about what the cause could be and only basically said reset and wait 🥺
-
Harry Brent (@HarryBrent) reported
@virginmedia I’m afraid that isn’t good enough. Your compensation only applies to those who have experienced “total” loss of signal. My signal has been intermittent. But completely unusable for a day’s work. I’m outraged that this problem has being going on so long and I can’t get refunded.
-
Harry Brent (@HarryBrent) reported
@virginmedia Your team has already confirmed it’s an area issue, I don’t need help identifying the problem, particularly as I’ve been told I can do nothing but wait! What I’m truly annoyed about is the lack of compensation. I’m paying for wifi I’m not getting, AND now I’m paying for 4G too.
-
James T. Burke (@Doublebucket1) reported
@virginmedia And is there a 4.0 router? Which may be better. It’s known that the 3.0 has quite poor WiFi. Or will I have to fork out on a better router and turn your one into modem?
-
RichieUK (@RichieUK_TTV) reported
@virginmedia Yeah but i wouldn’t be classed as a “new customer” unless I’ve been away from you for at least 3-6months - I wouldn’t be eligible for new customer deals
-
Harry Brent (@HarryBrent) reported
@virginmedia You have given me zero reason to stick with Virgin, I’ll be cancelling my subscription immediately. A truly awful response.
