Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Hampshire and nearby locations:

  • DIZZYDJC Daniel John 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇪🇺 (@DIZZYDJC) reported from West End, England

@virginmedia It's both. I have been doing some digging and it's the upload speeds. They are not getting anywhere over 2MB /sec which is not good enough. It has been very slow over the last couple of days

  • ForbesyPresents Steve Forbes (@ForbesyPresents) reported from Southampton, England

@tobygilles @virginmedia @bt_uk Never been offered a booster. Had the hub replaced but has made no difference

  • Rob_Mcgimpsey Rob Mcgimpsey (@Rob_Mcgimpsey) reported from Romsey, England

@virginmedia Your pre-installs team cannot assist either. It seems nobody can actually help.

  • DIZZYDJC Daniel John 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇪🇺 (@DIZZYDJC) reported from West End, England

My internet is painfully slow tonight. Checked my router and it's not that, it's the internet itself. What is going on @virginmedia ? Your status says no faults but I can assure you there is. I am paying for 1GB bb and so far only reaching speeds of about 2.25 mb- explain??

  • rahim94 Rahim™ 🇬🇧🇲🇦 (@rahim94) reported from Southampton, England

You know @btsport, it would be nice to watch the match in UHD, if only the UHD channel wasn't so jittery. 🤦 Whoever's problem it is, whether it's @btsport or @virginmedia, sort it out!!! #RANLIV #ChampionsLeague

  • Rob_Mcgimpsey Rob Mcgimpsey (@Rob_Mcgimpsey) reported from Ampfield, England

@virginmedia Further to this, my install date has now been pushed back to 13/12. A quarter of a year later than quoted. This is unacceptable and the joke is, it won’t even happen then! It’ll get pushed back again. My partner is pregnant and Virgin are seriously letting us down. Shameful

  • Rob_Mcgimpsey Rob Mcgimpsey (@Rob_Mcgimpsey) reported from Ampfield, England

@virginmedia Well you said that on webchat you can’t do anything but raise a complaint for me. I called the pre-installs team again who have once again left a note for the area install manager to call. This note has been left several times, and of course - he doesn’t call. This is stuck.

  • GiganetUK Giganet (@GiganetUK) reported from Portsmouth, England

@MikeBiscoe1 @virginmedia Please give our Customer Service team a call on 0330 333 3006 and they'll be very happy to help.

  • Rob_Mcgimpsey Rob Mcgimpsey (@Rob_Mcgimpsey) reported from Romsey, England

@virginmedia I rang pre installs 3 times last week, spending an average of 1hr on the phone, getting no where nobody in preinstalls can tel me what’s going on, they just promise to get someone to call me. That call never happens

  • Rob_Mcgimpsey Rob Mcgimpsey (@Rob_Mcgimpsey) reported from Romsey, England

@virginmedia This has already been dealt with yea, we’re continuing just because it feels as if we’ve waited too long to cancel now. Plus, Virgin are crediting me £5.35 for every day of delay that they’ve caused (55 days and counting).

  • Rob_Mcgimpsey Rob Mcgimpsey (@Rob_Mcgimpsey) reported from Romsey, England

@virginmedia Come on! This is as lazy as your customer service. Of course I have service.

  • Rob_Mcgimpsey Rob Mcgimpsey (@Rob_Mcgimpsey) reported from Romsey, England

@virginmedia The call back was organised by your virgin customer services because nobody seems to know what’s going on with my install. I think the hope was that the area manager might know. I’m not even exaggerating.

  • Rob_Mcgimpsey Rob Mcgimpsey (@Rob_Mcgimpsey) reported from Ampfield, England

@virginmedia This is the second time the complaint has been raised as the first one was ignored. It’s literally a joke and very ironic that I need to complain about the complaints department.

  • Rob_Mcgimpsey Rob Mcgimpsey (@Rob_Mcgimpsey) reported from Romsey, England

@virginmedia Still no call. Still no service. Still no customer support whatsoever from virgin media.

  • Rob_Mcgimpsey Rob Mcgimpsey (@Rob_Mcgimpsey) reported from Ampfield, England

@virginmedia Look back through my previous tweets. After 3 months of cancellations from Virgin, lies and let downs - I’ve had to cancel the agreement completely

  • Rob_Mcgimpsey Rob Mcgimpsey (@Rob_Mcgimpsey) reported from Ampfield, England

@virginmedia Every one of your engineers that I’ve spoken to have also warned me that your customer service is diabolical. The only truth I’ve been told by a Virgin rep

  • Rob_Mcgimpsey Rob Mcgimpsey (@Rob_Mcgimpsey) reported from Ampfield, England

@virginmedia Unfortunately no end in sight. I had to make another call to Virgin today. It took 40 minutes before I was talking to someone. It seems Virgin are not capable to get this over the line without me pushing them onto the next step and following up to make sure things are done. Poor

  • Rob_Mcgimpsey Rob Mcgimpsey (@Rob_Mcgimpsey) reported from Romsey, England

@virginmedia I guarantee you they cannot help. I call every day, usually spending over an hour on the phone. The pre-installs team only promise me a call back from someone who can help, within 24-48hrs. The call back never comes, despite further requests for this to happen. Explain that?

  • Rob_Mcgimpsey Rob Mcgimpsey (@Rob_Mcgimpsey) reported from Ampfield, England

@virginmedia the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered. 6 cancelled installs, no broadband, no Tv, no heating. Unable to work thanks to virgin media. No resolution in sight, just empty promises and apologies.

  • Rob_Mcgimpsey Rob Mcgimpsey (@Rob_Mcgimpsey) reported from Romsey, England

@virginmedia Yes. A third party has just arrived to pull cables and they can’t do their work because Virgin haven’t actioned the construction. 9 weeks down the line and it hasn’t even been actioned from your end. So poor.

@virginmedia Engineer has been and credit where its due, nice fellow who knew his stuff. Router has now been swapped out for a hub 4. Will see how this goes. Will still be making contact regarding the loss of service and all the other issues. Fingers crossed.

  • colorwithwonder Colour With Wonder (@colorwithwonder) reported

@virginmedia Yes. We have all our services back, and I thought you guys could do with some good news. I'm really impressed with the customer service both over the phone and in person via your engineers.

  • colorwithwonder Colour With Wonder (@colorwithwonder) reported

I know @virginmedia get a lot of flack. However, would like to praise the team. Our services went down Tuesday night. Called them Wednesday and today they sent out an engineer. He spent a lot of time and figured it was connection between the box and our house.

  • garye1969 gary eaves (@garye1969) reported

@virginmedia So your business model is based not on customer need but on getting new sales? Existing customers can wait as they are not relevant. #GreatService

  • ChrisEssex Chris (@ChrisEssex) reported

@virginmedia I got an email saying that the wifi will be merged into one intelligent wifi. Will the network names change? If so I have to re-connect each one.

  • Jonno57 Jonno (@Jonno57) reported

@virginmedia waited 7 hours for a booked engineer. Still hasn’t come. Didn’t even call to say he’d be late. And we’re sat waiting to go on holiday and support are useless. Shambles of a company.

  • Press37551712 Press (@Press37551712) reported

@virginmedia @DJGaryBaldy I forgot my password I watched a video but not really helpful, but I have recovered my account back through the help of rossgerberkawasaki on Instagram has help me thanks so much

  • JamieMc76633051 Jamie McEwan (@JamieMc76633051) reported

@virginmedia We can receive incoming calls from other Virgin Media phones (neighbour) but not from mobiles or non-Virgin customers. It looks like a line problem.

  • StopYourTwaddle StopYourTwaddle (@StopYourTwaddle) reported

@virginmedia All day, for three days now, when trying to get through to Sales on 1908 - a notice has been given of a 60 min+ wait. Disgusting way to treat customers. I need to talk to someone and it is proving impossible to do so. Maybe we should all switch to a diff provider??

  • tomstravelblog TomsTravelBlog (@tomstravelblog) reported

@virginmedia I need a number for your complaints department, you’ve changed my direct debit without my full authorisation, you raised a complaint and said you’d be in touch within 72 hours in which you closed the same complaint without talking to me, I am furious with this service, failure!
