@virginmedia And this is why, I'll be reporting you to trading standards for fraudulent misselling/misrepresentation and then abdicating ALL responsibility/accountability to resolve. There's no security/DPA issues in you giving me a direct dial number via DM. You just don't want to resolve.

Virgin Media Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • AhmadX_Official
    It's Ahmad (@AhmadX_Official) reported

In 2003, 68-year-old Stan Beaton said goodbye to his beloved wife, Ruby, after she lost her battle with cancer. Among all the memories she left behind, one became his greatest treasure, a simple voicemail recorded on their home answering machine, preserving the sound of her voice. For years, Stan kept the same phone service for one reason alone: he was terrified that changing providers might erase that recording. Whenever grief became too heavy, he would play the message, finding comfort in hearing Ruby speak once again. Then, without warning, everything changed. During a routine system upgrade by Virgin Media, the voicemail was accidentally deleted. Stan later described the heartbreak: "When I realized it was gone, it felt like I had lost my wife a second time." Once the company understood what had happened, they launched an extraordinary recovery effort. Around a dozen engineers dedicated three full days to retrieving a single voicemail. They combed through archived systems, aging servers and backup files, comparing the task to finding a needle in a haystack. Despite the odds, they refused to stop searching. Against all expectations, they found it. When Stan learned how many people had worked tirelessly to recover his recording, he was overwhelmed. "All those people… just to help me? I never imagined a company would go to such lengths," he said. Then came the moment he had almost given up hope of experiencing again. Ruby's familiar voice filled the room: "Stan and Ruby are not available right now. Please leave your name and number, and we'll get back to you." Tears quickly welled up in his eyes. "Amazing… absolutely amazing," he whispered. With deep gratitude, he later said: "I thought I would never hear her voice again. They gave me back something I believed was gone forever. They made an old man incredibly happy." Sometimes the greatest treasures aren't money or possessions. They're the few precious seconds of a loved one's voice memories that can comfort a heart for a lifetime.

@virginmedia are abysmal. After harassing us for weeks by knocking at the door we decided to switch to them. Only to be left without wifi for almost an entire month. And customer service keeps making empty promises, telling us that it’ll be installed the next day.

@PitRucker99 @Starlink The UK is not that bad. Spain is much worse. People pay €49 / month for internet. The problem in the UK is lack of "physical options" but it is getting better: 1. Virgin Media (cable) 2. BT - Telephone lines - ADSL - Fiber optic 3. Three - 5G modem 4. Starlink
