    @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Think I said this on the matter before but so sorry, sadly I know exactly how you feel since O2 Germany had exact same dismal service and lack of understanding. Forced me to send them a death certificate of my father to close the account.

    @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Large companies use veiled sociopathic behavioural shenanigans to get away with increasing profits via psychological friction & overwhelm. Customer service "friction mazes" coerce ordinary people to give up & give in (aka pay more) or suffer big losses of energy, time & morale.

    @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK We had the same with TalkTalk from my mum's house after she passed away. They racked up £600 to be owed to them, after we told them she'd passed away. Eventually spoke to someone with a heart and got it cancelled. We'll never use Talk Talk for anything now.

    @GeorgeMonbiot Sorry to hear this George, hope it gets resolved soon. More parochial perhaps, but another reason for environmentalists of our generation to shun @VodafoneUK - their enthusiastic support for the destructive Newbury Bypass in the 1990s.

    @GeorgeMonbiot I had a contract with @VodafoneUK once, a few years ago. Their customer service was so appalling, so stressful and unhelpful that I cancelled the whole thing, and now I would not touch them with a bargepole

Richie, get the gentlemans contact number and find the right person to phone him back... directing him to a bot on your website lacks both empathy and compassion... in short, a **** show, sort it out.
