@VodafoneUK Thank you Josh. Sounds like a good idea to me. I’ll contact @SkyUK to cancel and then be in touch. Works out much cheaper that what I’m currently paying!

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK @TalkTalk Very similar. They sold my father in law (late 70s) broadband. He has never owned or even used a computer ever. He cancelled his account by written letter - it’s the only technology he’s got. They won’t cancel, they won’t let him pass security, they demand money.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I've a lot of sympathy. My mum is still alive but can no longer use the phone. I managed to get it cancelled using the chat bot on my own phone, but only as luck would have it, cos I was also a Vodafone customer.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK In New Zealand we have a popular TV show called Fair Go - they take on greedy heartless companies who hate the bad publicity. Is there anything like that over there?

@VodafoneUK since the 20th June I have had 9 phone calls with you, several web chats, 1 store visit, 1 new SIM card. I still have a phone fault. Your employee turned off my phone signal for 30 minutes and put my child’s life at risk. So seeing as you are incapable of sorting this

4 months after my mother passed away, @VodafoneUK still won't cancel her account. Our calls, when we finally get through, have been met with extreme rudeness and aggression, and demands that my frail, confused father answers impossible, irrelevant questions. But it gets worse ...

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I was insulted and had someone hung up the phone on me when I complained about being delivered a broken modem. I really hope they sort you out and stop harassing your poor father.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK George, suggest writing direct to the ceo. I did that to sort out a Vodafone billing problem I had and it was all fixed within days. Agree their customer service is shocking. Ps v sorry to hear about your mother. B
