Called honnor and they are willing to take the phones foe checks BUT that leaves myself and partner with no phone to use, which then will cost us more money to buy a temp phone

Enable VoWiFi, and connect to a WiFi network. Wait a few minutes for your phone to authenticate over the Internet into your home company's core network.
