@Dani1987C @d_mac2912 @ibroxrocks @btsport @darrellcurrietv Definitely! Once they go down that road, they’re gone. With a lot of them, that’s the only route they know, when they’re losing any sort of argument.

@bt_uk Why can't you do better than "Your call will be answered ASAP"? As Comms co. you must be able to give estimate of hold time to let customer choose to stay on the line or try later. Others do it! Answered after 13mins. Transferred to Billing 15mins and again to Pay 14mins.

@MaitlandBen @bt_uk @OpenreachHelp Genuine question: Considering that BT own EE, could they not offer a 4G/5G router that connects via the mobile networks as a backup option for when the landline network goes down? I think that's what Vodafone offer on their broadband.

@ConsumerCouncil can you advise? - we switched to @bt_uk back in June not realising they didn't handle the cancellation of our @virginmedia service (which was out of contract) - now being hounded by debt collectors for a service we ceased using 😩
-
Plugs
(@Plugs2) reported
@bt_uk Yes very disappointing and no one in customer service has any ability to make and alterations to offers available or be flexible on contract terms. But I guess BT are just happy to lose loyal customers
-

@bt_uk great service in the twitter chat from James tonight. Polite, helpful, understanding and empathetic. Shame the rest of your team are so complacent and don’t even keep their promise to call back. They could learn a lot from James.

@virginmedia trying to cancel your extortionate service but your agent is not listening and I have been on to them for 15 minutes arguing why I should not leave! I am leaving because @bt_uk is £794 a year cheaper for better deal.

@McDermottQC @bt_uk Tut tut @McDermottQC It’s “industry standard”. How churlish of you not to realise this. Just another way for ordinary people to spend their inflation busting pay rises. *checks payslip*. Oh…. The poor dears only made £1.4bn last year. They clearly need your tenner…

@bt_uk The #BT guy has run the tests from your end, but the fault lies with the entire network for this area. Everyone is down, so the fault isn't the customer!
-
WonderWoman

@bt_uk We have an engineer coming Thursday but not sure what he's going to be able to do if the whole area is down. I'm trying to log the fault.
-
Adam
(@AdamJM1986) reported
@bt_uk why is it so hard to speak to a person on the phone. We have a fault with our broadband, you are doing what you always do and sending an engineer. Last time the engineer said you needed to send someone to look externally for an issue.

Michael
(@chaisebleue63) reported
@McDermottQC @bt_uk Such 'negotiations' seem par for the course these days. When I recently tried to renew my 'all in one' Virgin contract, it took several attempts before they offered a deal which I was happy with. I suspect such business models rely heavily on customer inertia.
