Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Sunderland Bridge and nearby locations:

  • elliott_finlay Finlay Elliott (@elliott_finlay) reported from Newton Aycliffe, England

@bt_uk Switch Internet off we are closing it down due to the press option 1or 2 usual scam calling stuff

  • MrsP1001 MrsP (@MrsP1001) reported from Chester-le-Street, England

@bt_uk No broadband (now 15 days late), no reasons given why not, no sense of urgency to actually get it sorted. I'm running out of superlatives to describe your dreadful customer service and general incompetence.

  • MrsP1001 MrsP (@MrsP1001) reported from Sunderland Bridge, England

@bt_uk And people on Twitter may be looking for a new broadband connection and should be aware of the level of service from BT

  • chris_jelley Dr Chris Jelley (@chris_jelley) reported from Durham, England

10+ years (probably more) of being a loyal @bt_uk @BTGroup customer and they couldn’t waive the early termination fee liable because my new move means I can’t transfer the contract to my temporary property. I will never use them again.

  • marc3374 Marc Johnson (@marc3374) reported from Newton Aycliffe, England

@bt_uk Very disappointed at the customer service received after a phone call my wife made regarding our current broadband contract. Staff member was very patronising and unhelpful especially considering we have been BT customers for 20 years.

  • JillButt Jill Butterwick (@JillButt) reported from Stockton-on-Tees, England

@bt_uk internet access down. Went to parents house in same street and theirs is down too

  • CraigShitpeas Craig Shitpeas (@CraigShitpeas) reported from Sunderland Bridge, England

Rochdale’s 40yr old forward more effective than #Nufc 40million pound one. He is awful. No heart, no touch, no industry just dreadful. Well done #rochdale a deserved payday. They should have won it. They still might! #facup #btsport

  • beck5ter Jason N Beck (@beck5ter) reported from Stockton-on-Tees, England

@bt_uk Not to worry, I knew it was a scam straight away, as I am not currently a @bt_uk customer but this will be changing shortly as @Virgin is like having no internet we all use 4g !!

  • Hossy93 Joseph Drane (@Hossy93) reported from Brandon, England

@Gaz_House @btsport Or you could go down the night before. 😉

  • MrsP1001 MrsP (@MrsP1001) reported from Chester-le-Street, England

@bt_uk As I have tried to explain, an update on a possible new start date 10 days after the promised start date really isn't the level of service I expect from BT.

  • MrsP1001 MrsP (@MrsP1001) reported from Crook, England

@bt_uk False alarm, it was a nice neighbour dropping off a Christmas card - I saw an Openreach van down the road and assumed that you had actually done something!!

  • beck5ter Jason N Beck (@beck5ter) reported from Stockton-on-Tees, England

@bt_uk I certainly will, as no matter how many phone calls to @virgin nothing improves, my kids have to use data on their telephones, Virgin Media's Wi-Fi and internet is terrible @richardbranson

  • MrsP1001 MrsP (@MrsP1001) reported from Chester-le-Street, England

@bt_uk Extremely dissatisfied. I've just moved, trying to get landline and broadband at my new house - promised for Monday 2nd, got landline on Friday 6th but still no broadband. Lots of excuses, might possibly be sorted on Thursday 12th. Very poor service.

  • chris_jelley Dr Chris Jelley (@chris_jelley) reported from Durham, England

A new development on the BT issue. Had a call following my Tweet from a person @bt_uk apologising for yesterday. Early termination fee waived, apology accepted and relationship restored. Both agreed that this wasn’t the way it should happen but impressed with the resolution.

  • beck5ter Jason N Beck (@beck5ter) reported from Stockton-on-Tees, England

@gaznolan @bt_uk @Virgin @richardbranson @libertyglobal Cheers Gaz!! In that case @libertyglobal your Wi-Fi and internet is terrible, spend less on fancy adverts and more on infrastructure and getting your product as advertised, we really shouldn't have to have mobile data on in our own house

  • timlibrarian Tim Fowler (@timlibrarian) reported from Bearpark, England

@bt_uk Hi, no, it’s not a new build. Engineer visited before Christmas and was able to activate broadband but not phone service due to a fault in the junction box. Order number is VOL013-439847322595

  • MrsP1001 MrsP (@MrsP1001) reported from South Hetton, England

@bt_uk Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree Please fix my broadband just for me I've waited now for many days (17 and counting) Many promises fade in the haze Oh Christmas tree oh Christmas tree Please make my broadband work for me

  • elliott_finlay Finlay Elliott (@elliott_finlay) reported from Newton Aycliffe, England

BT (British Telecom) Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • Mansquito_ Mansquito (@Mansquito_) reported

@SkySports @btsport have a responsibility to the fans & all the people that rely on the football pyramid for their livelihoods, to not back this new European Super League or support it in anyway. If they do they enable yet more polarisation between the rich & the poor. #GreedySix

  • Kevandiso Kevin Sinclair (@Kevandiso) reported

@bt_uk Stayed with for years as broadband connection was reliable. Not now. Got a new hub for faster connection and service diabolical. Utterly, utterly dreadful. Time for a new provider I think.

  • kevcorb Kevin C (@kevcorb) reported

@SkySports @btsport show that you support the condemnation shown by your pundits by not engaging in any TV rights auctions for the #europesuperleague (and yes, I'm very aware of the irony in this post)

  • joebphotog Joe Butler (@joebphotog) reported

@SkySports I'm assuming that @skysports & @btsport will not be entering a bidding war to show this crap if it goes ahead? The only way that this doesn't happen if tv companies refuse to screen, fans refuse to attend etc but will that happen? Sadly, I don't think so

  • KathRella Kath Rella (@KathRella) reported

To hell with the ESL and if @SkySports, @btsport, @AmazonUK or any other group buy rights for it, I will cancel any and all services I have with them, and never buy products or services from them again.

  • theviewmaster Dave Carlos (@theviewmaster) reported

@wobbly0 @bt_uk That’s terrible service. Don’t they promise that you’ll have it the next day? It’s supposed to be an emergency fix when your service goes down. Terrible @bt_uk

  • Steve080561 Steve (@Steve080561) reported

@btsport @btsportfootball @OpBlackVote Wtf has this got to do with sport stick to what you are good at, ripping your customers off

  • foulshamgirl1 Kate Hayes🌸 (@foulshamgirl1) reported

@problem_we This is football clubs thinking they can do without the fans, they have forgotten that it is the fans paying for SKY or BTSport or any other footie channel & the fans that purchase the merchandise. Let's see how long they last without the fans support?

  • DaveRoon3y Dave (@DaveRoon3y) reported

@GNev2 When shankly said this football was for all, rich & poor it was a working class sport now your paying £100 a month to watch your team in your living room #sky #btsport are part of the big problem.poverty stricken kids can’t watch football and they should

  • mariannekelly66 Marianna Kelly (@mariannekelly66) reported

Hey @BTCare Loyal customer for 15yrs, you charge me £190 to leave, I send all the hardware back(2 routers, WiFi extenders). Don't use the SIM, no data used for mnths, I cancel & you send my £40 "debt" to awful Moorcroft mafia. I contact them on #MSE. Nada. It's not a good look.
