I just complained that my signal was not what I wanted and I ended my contract. No harm in trying. Go on their live chat rather than phone them so you don't get annoyed when they lie to you

Ryan R 🏴 (@RyanRay74) reported from Wooburn, England@Camden_Paul @EE I had a similar issue with them a few months back with the kids phones, the broadband wasn’t working at home and the EE engineer couldn’t fix it so they were ‘gifted’ 20gb each until it was fixed. Luckily I checked as they’d billed me for each, over £200!!!

Ive never missed a payment, always renewed contracts and have been a fiercely loyal customer. Sam (@BendyNeko) reported@EE I’m on unlimited data, which I’ve been told before is capped at “around” 600gb a month as personal use. I’ve seen some others with similar issues using iPhone hotspots, and a possible fix is to connect the phone over USB, which seems to be working (getting about 200Mb/100Mb 😳)
