You know what’s insane? The fact that my Pixel 5, that has been on contract for a year and a half with @EE, would still cost me over £500 to cancel early - I’ve got 7 months left. Pixel 5 cost £500 brand new even back then! That’s like a £2k contract for a £500 phone!!

@jenlion @EE I've had exactly this with insurance, mortgages, all sorts. They rely on customer inertia to retain them. When I move I always make their customer retention team (they'll definitely call you if you're leaving) know I'm moving specifically because of these tactics.

Just starting a customer service interaction with @EE via their app, which I am signed into. Their website says "My EE app... You won’t need to verify it’s you" but already I have been asked for my name and my phone number." I don't think this is going to go well.

@EE have got to have the worst customer service, ever. After many years with them, I cannot wait to get out of contract, and move to a company that treats its clients better..... Which is probably any of them. I'm a very disgruntled customer at the moment.
