  • andyhelson Andy Helson (@andyhelson) reported from Nottinghamshire, England

@virginmedia Then you can continue imagining how disappointed I am and look forward to my cancelling your contract at the 1st available opportunity. I, on the other hand, can only imagine that your competitors enjoy your customer service standards far more than I have.

  • kev_aylett Kev Aylett (@kev_aylett) reported from Nottinghamshire, England

@virginmedia Doing it again tonight! It’s like 5pm comes and all speed disappears, tonight both download and upload are impacted! Throttling I understand for network reasons but there’s something else happening here

  • andyhelson Andy Helson (@andyhelson) reported from Nottinghamshire, England

@virginmedia I repeat. I have made my complaint through your website, the bit where it says “make a complaint”. Perhaps you could explain why I need to make the same complaint twice. I take no joy from discussing this on an open forum either, I want a response from someone who can help.

  • andyhelson Andy Helson (@andyhelson) reported from Nottinghamshire, England

@virginmedia Oh see, it’s up to me to chase you is it. I hadn’t realised that the delay in you contacting me was all my fault. I’ve logged my complaint (48 hours now) and still heard nothing back. Good to see Ofcom are on the ball.

  • Wilko0103 Will (@Wilko0103) reported from Nottinghamshire, England

@virginmedia There is no fault listed on the website yet when we call we get an automated message saying there's been problems in our area, we can't even use the internet due to the connection being awful

  • AmazonAquatics1 Amazon Aquatics (@AmazonAquatics1) reported from Ripley, England

@virginmedia I just want to report an open cabinet on my street, and it's hard work, I don't want to sign up to your "community" as I have tried now twice and had to do the damn not a robot thing both times which takes ages and it says my email is not valid

  • thepixelgrid Tom Jepson (@thepixelgrid) reported from Nottinghamshire, England

I get back from my meetings in town only to find @virginmedia are messing with the internet outside and I’ve got no service. I should have stayed in the co-working space...

  • thomas_koop thomas coupe (@thomas_koop) reported from Hucknall under Huthwaite, England

@virginmedia There is no issue in the area as neighbours with virgin are using the service without problem. What should I do to resolve the service

  • andytoon30 andrew anthoney 🍋 (@andytoon30) reported from Mansfield Woodhouse, England

@virginmedia My mum and dad are having issues with you guys. The broadband has been very slow yet they pay for 350, the upload speed is half the download which says it all. A technician came out and tried to install a new TiVo box, they have been charged £30 even though he didn’t

  • thomas_koop thomas coupe (@thomas_koop) reported from Hucknall under Huthwaite, England

@virginmedia Still no services at all yet the online check says there is an issue.

  • MaxiiEverett Max Everett (@MaxiiEverett) reported from Nottinghamshire, England

@virginmedia Morning my Virgin TV Go app saying I have to upgrade to receive live tv even though I already have the package already tried to install/uninstalling and sign in/out.... #help

  • m0cvo Nigel Booth (@m0cvo) reported from Annesley, England

@gm8arv @2m0sql @M0VGA @SOTAbeams @TalkTalk @virginmedia The VM system I have here causes no problems from DC to 23cm (as high as I go currently) the only issue I had was when I tried using a mains data network from Argos and it destroyed 6m. Scrapped once identified.

@rahman_younus @virginmedia I’m with three as well, and it’s been a bloody awful week 😒

  • thepixelgrid Tom Jepson (@thepixelgrid) reported from Nottinghamshire, England

@jbjon @virginmedia Fix by 7pm or so the service status page says... I’m not counting my chickens, TBH. 4G tethering seems to be pretty swift for now.

  • acmtix 𝘼𝙙𝙖𝙢🐰 (@acmtix) reported from Eastwood, England

@Louise4Mh @virginmedia You wait till they try and rip you off by allowing reverse unsolicited text messages to your devices and charge you a £1 a message for a message never sent or received. Criminal.

  • jamawoki Matt (@jamawoki) reported from Nottinghamshire, England

@virginmedia Hey there! Thanks for replying. No I waited another 40 mins and then gave up - I rang this morning but of course I’ve had to go to work and they can’t help me unless at home lol. I was upgraded to 200mb but only ever get 40 (once 212!) :(

  • thepixelgrid Tom Jepson (@thepixelgrid) reported from Nottinghamshire, England

@virginmedia The postcode check shows no issue but, when there are two engineers (I hope) outside fiddling in the junction box and my hardware test says there’s no signal coming in I imaging it’s probably ***** for now. Really not ideal...

  • andyhelson Andy Helson (@andyhelson) reported from Nottinghamshire, England

@virginmedia They have not even acknowledged my complaint. Not even a “we are looking into this “ the only replies I’ve had have been your platitudes.

  • Wilko0103 Will (@Wilko0103) reported from Nottinghamshire, England

@virginmedia I've been suffering from 20-40% packet loss on my broadband for 2 weeks now, I've called up the service team multiple times and I've been given a different date on which it will be fixed 28th,29th,31st and now the 4th I'd like some clarity with what's happening

  • fraggleT29 Fraser Thomson (@fraggleT29) reported

@virginmedia so the website link for service status either doesn't work or changes its mind between whether or not there are issues. But the phone line says there are intermittent issues. I've not had broadband since last night so which is it and do I need to report it. PA1

  • SwissTony2023 Swiss Tony (@SwissTony2023) reported

@virginmedia @Kilbybooty I was told that 18 months ago and guess what it didn’t happen. I’m still awaiting a call back re my complaint.

  • Mike58916516 M (@Mike58916516) reported

@virginmedia It is never easy, but as an emergency service worker my salary in real terms has decreased every year, this increase is way too much!

  • MrDanAllen Daniel Allen (@MrDanAllen) reported

@virginmedia AND your website is down, so the 360 install link in your booklet can't be accessed either 🙃

  • PodycustBlog Podycust Blog (@PodycustBlog) reported

@duklaprm @virginmedia TBH I find all ISP routers are cheap and cheerful. They generally do a poor job as they trying to be two devices in one (a modem and router) and have too low spec for the job. My current router for example has about twice the cpu cores and ghz than vm hub 3 or 4

  • AshOnFire1989 AshOnFire1989 (@AshOnFire1989) reported

Jesus wept, Virgin Media is going up in price again. This time by £8.50 a month! That's another film streaming service I could subscribe to and not watch.

  • corfulizzie Elizabeth Clifton (@corfulizzie) reported

@virginmedia Why do you make it so difficult to cancel my contract? After waiting 20 mins to get through I’m told your computers are down and I have to call back. Why can’t you call me back?

  • LongshanksE10 Richard Astley (@LongshanksE10) reported

@virginmedia So your colleagues have negotiated in bad faith.
