@virginmedia I’m sorry to say your customer service is bar none, the worst experience I’ve ever had the misfortune to deal with. A missed appointment scheduled by you, I’m on the phone for over 3 hrs and you have no ownership of the issue, just pass me from pillar to post. #fail

@virginmedia I have tried that text service for the last two days. ‘Terri BOT’ is no use. I need to speak to a real person . All that needs doing is the issue of a new bill without the £35 activation fee. This is becoming the worst decision I’ve ever made in relation to switching broadband

Virgin Media Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • andyosb
    Andy (@andyosb) reported

@Ofcom @virginmedia did exactly the same thing to me back in 2019! It was - and still is - the worst customer service experience of my life (and I'm now 65). It was just so glad to escape them eventually. They're utter scum. Do yourself a favour & don't go anywhere near this company.

  • Gary_Freemantle
     Gary Freemantle (@Gary_Freemantle) reported

@virginmedia in light of @Ofcom ruling, will you now be refunding the 6 months you continued to take from my bank account by DD after I moved house and cancelled out of contract? Especially as even after a 4 hour call you were still transferring me to ‘someone who could help’

  • TommyJonesUK
    Tommy Jones (@TommyJonesUK) reported

@TheGriftReport Virgin Media fined £28m for trapping customers like hostages who can’t cancel. Their service is slower than rigor mortis, but leaving? Harder than faking your own death to escape.

  • tomofsydenham
    Tom (@tomofsydenham) reported

@Ofcom Good. Virgin media have dreadful customer service. I am very glad to no longer be a customer of theirs.

  • Shiv_who_burns
    Shiv is a velociraptor🥢🪷🐿️ ㉧㉣㉣🪭 (@Shiv_who_burns) reported

@ToddCoxeter @virginmedia Prime signed me up to some channel and I never asked for it

  • Vocalandproudx
    Vocal and Proud (@Vocalandproudx) reported

The £28 million fine by @Ofcom was long overdue. Hopefully, it sends a clear message to @virginmedia and the rest of the industry that making it difficult for customers to cancel simply isn’t acceptable.

  • Ailsa56202286
    Ailsa (@Ailsa56202286) reported

(Part 2/4)It absolutely wasn't. As five medical students finishing university and being dispersed across the country, there was no practical way to continue using Virgin Media. We called to cancel... and were hit with a £450 early termination charge. We simply couldn't afford it

  • pirate1100
    Pirate (@pirate1100) reported

@MartinSLewis Virgin Media are terrible, I had the phone package removed years ago as they kept billing me for calls I hadn’t made. If you don’t renew broadband contract they charge you extortionate fees. Terrible company.

  • Andrew_TRP
    Coaster Addict (@Andrew_TRP) reported

@MoneySavingExp I’ll never use Virgin Media again. Moved house in 2024 when I was out of contract, they put me on a new 18 months contract without telling me. No email, no letter. Complaints come to nothing. Terrible company.

  • mitzpatel85
    Mitesh Patel (@mitzpatel85) reported

@Channel4News Don’t think £28m justifies their actions.. if they were deliberately putting customers on hold and dropping call while they tried to cancel, the fine should be £1bn - absolutely pathetic from Virgin Media
