  • GodberKen
Ken Godber (@GodberKen) reported from Annesley, England

@virginmedia You couldn't make this incompetence up - had another call, chasing 2 mths costs for a phone not used in over 2 yrs, unable to cancel via website or previous Twitter conversation, and then cuts me off. It's a mthly sim only, if I don't use it don't charge me - simples.

  • ceejay278

@virginmedia Think you need to look at your process for vulnerable adults. Elderly aunt with fault on landline and therefore no working Careline emergency alarm. No engineer until Friday - if she falls or is taken ill who is going to help??

  • rainworthgord

@virginmedia @_MMaritima Not everyone understands about running a wired speed test, whatever that is. Why can you not just make an appointment with Lizzie for a home call so her problem can be sorted out on the spot? After all, free call out is one of your strong selling points. She doesn’t need hassle.

    Matty 🇬🇧🇪🇺♿ (@Wizardman37) reported

@LPXIOP Virgin media customer here, had the same, got a letter they disconnecting the telephone line their end and told us to connect the landline phone to the internet modem with different cable. It worked first time. Copper lines being phased out in favour of VoIP.

  • superbairn
    🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Simon Forsyth 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 (@superbairn) reported

@virginmedia are you trying to call ref my complaint. I believe I am trying to be scammed by people claiming to be from Virgin.

  • Borgle1
    M-O-O-N (@Borgle1) reported

@caz_fizz @MelJanie @virginmedia Virgin are terrible now. Since the Welsh and North East staff were laid off. The overseas workers are untrained and promise the earth but deliver nothing and cause hours of phone calls for issues that could and should be solved in 3 minutes.

  • GauciReports
    Gauci Reports (@GauciReports) reported

@LPXIOP This isn’t anything new tbh. The two copper networks are basically BT & Virgin Media. They’ve been migrating across to VOIP (Voice over ip) for a long time now. Unfortunately copper networks have become old and expensive to maintain and quality of service just deteriorates over time with fault calls, replacing cables and customer complaints etc.
