Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Sutton in Ashfield and nearby locations:

  • thepixelgrid Tom Jepson (@thepixelgrid) reported from Nottinghamshire, England

@virginmedia The postcode check shows no issue but, when there are two engineers (I hope) outside fiddling in the junction box and my hardware test says there’s no signal coming in I imaging it’s probably ***** for now. Really not ideal...

  • thepixelgrid Tom Jepson (@thepixelgrid) reported from Nottinghamshire, England

@jbjon @virginmedia Fix by 7pm or so the service status page says... I’m not counting my chickens, TBH. 4G tethering seems to be pretty swift for now.

  • Wilko0103 Will (@Wilko0103) reported from Nottinghamshire, England

@virginmedia I've been suffering from 20-40% packet loss on my broadband for 2 weeks now, I've called up the service team multiple times and I've been given a different date on which it will be fixed 28th,29th,31st and now the 4th I'd like some clarity with what's happening

  • thomas_koop thomas coupe (@thomas_koop) reported from Hucknall under Huthwaite, England

@virginmedia Still no services at all yet the online check says there is an issue.

  • m0cvo Nigel Booth (@m0cvo) reported from Annesley, England

@gm8arv @2m0sql @M0VGA @SOTAbeams @TalkTalk @virginmedia The VM system I have here causes no problems from DC to 23cm (as high as I go currently) the only issue I had was when I tried using a mains data network from Argos and it destroyed 6m. Scrapped once identified.

  • MaxiiEverett Max Everett (@MaxiiEverett) reported from Nottinghamshire, England

@virginmedia Morning my Virgin TV Go app saying I have to upgrade to receive live tv even though I already have the package already tried to install/uninstalling and sign in/out.... #help

  • acmtix 𝘼𝙙𝙖𝙢🐰 (@acmtix) reported from Eastwood, England

@Louise4Mh @virginmedia You wait till they try and rip you off by allowing reverse unsolicited text messages to your devices and charge you a £1 a message for a message never sent or received. Criminal.

  • andyhelson Andy Helson (@andyhelson) reported from Nottinghamshire, England

@virginmedia I repeat. I have made my complaint through your website, the bit where it says “make a complaint”. Perhaps you could explain why I need to make the same complaint twice. I take no joy from discussing this on an open forum either, I want a response from someone who can help.

  • thomas_koop thomas coupe (@thomas_koop) reported from Hucknall under Huthwaite, England

@virginmedia There is no issue in the area as neighbours with virgin are using the service without problem. What should I do to resolve the service

  • andytoon30 andrew anthoney 🍋 (@andytoon30) reported from Mansfield Woodhouse, England

@virginmedia My mum and dad are having issues with you guys. The broadband has been very slow yet they pay for 350, the upload speed is half the download which says it all. A technician came out and tried to install a new TiVo box, they have been charged £30 even though he didn’t

  • kev_aylett Kev Aylett (@kev_aylett) reported from Nottinghamshire, England

@virginmedia Doing it again tonight! It’s like 5pm comes and all speed disappears, tonight both download and upload are impacted! Throttling I understand for network reasons but there’s something else happening here

  • andyhelson Andy Helson (@andyhelson) reported from Nottinghamshire, England

@virginmedia Oh see, it’s up to me to chase you is it. I hadn’t realised that the delay in you contacting me was all my fault. I’ve logged my complaint (48 hours now) and still heard nothing back. Good to see Ofcom are on the ball.

  • jamawoki Matt (@jamawoki) reported from Nottinghamshire, England

@virginmedia Hey there! Thanks for replying. No I waited another 40 mins and then gave up - I rang this morning but of course I’ve had to go to work and they can’t help me unless at home lol. I was upgraded to 200mb but only ever get 40 (once 212!) :(

  • AmazonAquatics1 Amazon Aquatics (@AmazonAquatics1) reported from Ripley, England

@virginmedia I just want to report an open cabinet on my street, and it's hard work, I don't want to sign up to your "community" as I have tried now twice and had to do the damn not a robot thing both times which takes ages and it says my email is not valid

  • andyhelson Andy Helson (@andyhelson) reported from Nottinghamshire, England

@virginmedia Then you can continue imagining how disappointed I am and look forward to my cancelling your contract at the 1st available opportunity. I, on the other hand, can only imagine that your competitors enjoy your customer service standards far more than I have.

  • andyhelson Andy Helson (@andyhelson) reported from Nottinghamshire, England

@virginmedia They have not even acknowledged my complaint. Not even a “we are looking into this “ the only replies I’ve had have been your platitudes.

  • acmtix 𝘼𝙙𝙖𝙢🐰 (@acmtix) reported from Eastwood, England

@virginmedia It's been like this for a while. I cannot rely on the service at all.

  • Wilko0103 Will (@Wilko0103) reported from Nottinghamshire, England

@virginmedia There is no fault listed on the website yet when we call we get an automated message saying there's been problems in our area, we can't even use the internet due to the connection being awful

  • CharlieTango135 CharlieTango🚁 (@CharlieTango135) reported from Nottinghamshire, England

@virginmedia do sport subscribers get a discount on the football games @primevideosport are showing... poor quality picture for UHD 🤬

  • CarolSaysThings Carol ✨ (@CarolSaysThings) reported from Nottinghamshire, England

@rahman_younus @virginmedia I’m with three as well, and it’s been a bloody awful week 😒

@virginmedia "Please do check back later" for a service I pay for 24/7/365.

  • pauloLondinium qqqqqq (@pauloLondinium) reported

Hello @virginmedia, I’ve been trying to cancel for days because my father is moving into care - but you won’t respond. Anything you can do before I go to Which, You and Yours and other consumer champions

  • vincehanratty Vinny Hanratty (@vincehanratty) reported

@virginmedia Yes , it did say there was an issue, now it doesn’t. This is a problem we had for 4 years 2 years ago , it took 4 years for you to fix it , now it’s happening again. It’s usually an engineer has been out to ‘solve’ another customer issue & redirected the issue so we get problem

  • annelliott2017 Ann Elliott 💙 (@annelliott2017) reported

@virginmedia Are you actually kidding me on? Your whatsapp response is from a chat bot. How will that resolve this issue? Or do you just want me to shut up? That's not going to happen

  • AndrewJMonk Andrew Monk (@AndrewJMonk) reported

@virginmedia That's not entirely true John... my contract ended in July, unbeknownst to me, and my weekly fee jumped from £44 to £62. Nothing like @CooperativeBank who's home insurance renewal went down this year. Head and shoulders above there guys, well done.

  • bittershurn Bittershurn (@bittershurn) reported

@virginmedia trying to book an appointment for an engineer to fix WiFi broadband again. Why have you made it so difficult? Every trail leads to a dribbling automated Bot. Useless.

  • BenjamienSm Ben (@BenjamienSm) reported

@virginmedia I am struggling with extremely slow upload speeds since yesterday. Whenever I upload (which I do for work) it causes the entire connection te become unstable. The service status says there is am issue in my postcode but no indication of when this will be fixed.

  • 1001pieces Terrie (@1001pieces) reported

@virginmedia No issues according to that site. Callers hear it ringing but doesn't ring my end. Came out about 3 weeks ago. Will WA to get package removed. Contacting you via the help on your website is impossible.

  • Le_Sharp Lee (@Le_Sharp) reported

@virginmedia 40 minutes on the phone and your tech support can’t help. They are sending an engineer but the appointment has changed between the call and the confirmation text. Your website is useless and your online chat is a lie. How do I complain?

  • TheFatDudeUK The Fat Dude (@TheFatDudeUK) reported

@virginmedia Not sure why ur being rude no email has this been going on 4 even,
